Spent more than an hour on hold to cancel their service. They will charge you extra $70 for the removal of the bins. The actual pick up service is not bad, but it’s very costly and nearly impossible to contact them unless you have plenty of time.

This is the worse trash service ever, I have only had this service for a month they charged me almost 200 bucks and on top of that they only picked up my trash twice !! I had to pay my neighbor to take some of my trash bags to the dump because the trash kept piling up and every time I called customer service they told me someone is on the way to pick up the trash but no one ever arrives. Every week there is an excuse on why my trash cant be picked up on the schedule day and even then they still don't pick up on the day that's rescheduled This service is a SCAM! I should have read the reviews 1st because I can see this is constant problem for them.

They literally just take your money and don't pick up your trash. When you call them out on it, the customer service blames you for not alerting them sooner that they didn't pick up your trash. And to top it off, the last month they've just sent out text alerts saying the route can't be ran on the pickup day and that it will come next week and on the pickup day of that next week, they send out the text again. It's just a scam.

Terrible attitude from the trash man. He broke our recyclable trash can and left trash all over the road. He crushed our small container that we had yard waste in. Second time thrash was left on road.

Trash pick up in Delmar on Thursdays. Every other Thursday they don’t pick up my trash even though my house is the first house as you enter the development. I called the town of Delmar to complain on Thursday evening that my trash was not picked up. I was promised that someone would pick it up on Friday! Here, it is the weekend, trash can still sitting by the curb with trash. Town of Delmar, get another company!!!!cant ve paying all this money and can’t get reasonable service.

My the greatest service, there is no large pickup of wood pallets and they had no assistance in sharing where it might be dropped.

The customer service is stellar, the actual trash pickup services are subpar at best. They come when they want & never follow the schedule. They will randomly not pickup your trash, just do a quick drive by the street. It makes no sense at all. When you schedule a missed pickup they won’t show. It’s been a frustrating experience.

Working for a large commercial roofing company, Republic Services has met and exceeded all our expectations. Using mostly their roll off services, we have never had any issues with delivery time and are always taken care of. Everyone we deal with here has been very kind and helpful; I highly recommend them for commercial use.

Great service! Always responsive with our calls, if someone doesn't answer your call at the time of the call i just leave a message and we normally receive a call back within the same day. At times if it is an urgent need we just send an email with a request to call back and that seam to make its way to a service rep. I also appreciate the dropoff service, I always request to have the driver to call 5 mins before arrival and so far i've received a call from the drive everytime...Note that you need request the call in advanced...Overall great service!!

They keep up with our crazy new construction demands. Dealing with Kim is a pleasure. 95% of the time a can will be emptied the day after the request is made. If any issues arise, they are quick to contact me and work through it!

I have been using Republic Services for a number of years and highly recommend them for roll-offs. My representative Kim Scott will do anything possible to ensure the proper timing of my deliveries and pick-ups of my dumpsters. Republic Services has been the only company that can provide 30 yard dumpsters for our business and keep up with our demand with demolition work. I just call Kimberly Scott and tell her what we need, when to swap and when to pick up the final and it is always done on time. We would definitely recommend Republic Services for all your needs!

45 minutes on hold to cancel services due to extremely high prices that continue to go up. Only to find out that they want to charge me another $30 to pick up the can. They won't let me bring it back. They won't cancel my service until the end of May, even though It was the 3rd of May by the time someone finally picked up the phone, I tried calling 6 different times and was left on hold for over an hour prior till now. Horrible customer service!! That and raising your prices over and over is why every house on this road has gotten a different color trashcan in the last 2 months, and it doesn't say REPUBLIC on it.

Everyone I have encounter at Republic Services have been so professional, knowledgeable and helpful!!! If I need a pickup...they are there usually the very next day, return the container to the same location and make sure there is no trash left on the grounds. If I have a billing question they are very polite and helpful in solving any issues or question I may have. We have been doing business with Republic for several years and will continue to do so.

We use Republic Services for multiple construction sites. They are always on time an leave the dumpster exactly where we ask. We have never had an issue with this company, in fact, they tend to "squeeze us in" when there is an emergency! Highly recommend Republic Services for all your dumpster needs!

If you any other options for trash service, go with them. Republic services costs twice as much as I am paying now, not to mention they have the most horrid customer service I’ve ever dealt with. After only using Republic for ONE week of trash removal, they still managed to scam us out of almost $200 2 months later!! I am never returning to this company and will never recommend them to anyone.

Do not get scammed! Quoted me at a low price, great. Until I was billed for my can being dropped off, billed for fuel, billed for environmental fee. Basically they double your bill in fees they dont explain. I only stayed with them for 2 months because I refuse to pay 1000/year for trash pick up! There is a new company in the area, Seagull waste, they have a flat line rate and are local. Dont waste your time or money on Repiblic. Oh and when I cancelled service they said to just leave the can out on the last day of the month and "well come grab it"; after a week of it sitting out on the curb it was picked up and another charge of $50 for the pick up was in my mailbox.

Terrible service! One month into a 2 year contract and I already regret it. So far, they haven’t managed to collect our recycling one time. When we called to report a missed pick up, the CS rep said that the driver reported the can wasn’t out. It was put out at 7pm the night before. Skip this company and go with someone who bills month to month. At least then, you can cancel service if the don’t show up.

Appears all the trash pick up companies in the area are scam masters. I've been with Republic's competitor for about 15-years and during that time the rates have increased some 120%, going from $45 per quarter to $98. They all found a gold vein by tacking on a fuel surcharge onto their base rate. The raise it when the price of fuel goes up and never reduce or eliminate it when the price of fuel goes down. First entrepreneur with some business acumen and integrity will win the battle of the refuse haulers.

Wow wow wow!!! I was quoted for a small dumpster for our business $50 a month. I have the proposal quote. The first month they charge to deliver dumpster and the dump fee ($50). That total, per the quote provided by republic services, was $149. 69. This included some fluff on their end. Well, first bill came and they are truly SCAMMERS! They state they delivered it on Oct 1, which they did not. It wasn’t until a week later. Second, the bill is $291!!!!! What?!? For less than a month?!? They send a bill a month in advance and do not prorate. The next bill is $80.... $30 more then I was quoted!!! This last month we haven’t been open and they still are charging!! I called the 1-800 number and she was zero help. Asked for the local number in Delaware, to which she couldn’t give. Told her that this was far from my quote that was agreed to and she could’ve cared less. I am disgusted by the business practices of Republic. I have now seen the reviews (since I had to google #) and they are true. As a business owner, I take great pride in customer service, doing what is right and giving the person a reason to want to keep coming back. So, their reviews speak volumes. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

I totally agree with David L. and everyone else. They kept raising their prices. Talked to someone and she gave me a good price, so I stayed. Come to find out, they said she was authorized to do that and raised the price again. Tried everything to negotiate this out and to no avail. On top of all that, they charge $30 per container to pick up, plus a Fuel/Environmental fee. All total, for all their fees, etc. $90+. Whatever you do, do not use this company at all. They are horrible. I know that companies aren't perfect, but this one takes the cake and your money. If I could, I give them 0 stars, because they don't even deserve 1.

Hired company to install a 2 yard dumpster. After one month they said they could no longer provide the service due to difficulty getting trucks in for pickups. They offered to refund the fee to install the dumpster. They not only didn't refund the fee they charged us to remove the dumpster too. My take is we hired them to perform a service which they ended up not being able to provide. The sales department promised everything and delivered nothing. Complete waste of time dealing with this company and it's going to cost us.

I'd give less than 1 star if possible. Originally signed up in Dec after seeing poor reviews hoping that it was sheer bad luck and gave it a shot, then prices increased without notice on invoice for Jan-March. Paid for Jan and had services cancelled and cans picked up by Feb 2nd. Was "accidentally" charged removal fee when i was told I didn't owe any extra fees and to wait for newest invoice. New invoice showed late fees. Called again to have it fixed and was told I didn't owe anything, yet again. Just got a collection notice when I've been told since Jan I don't owe anything. I'm hoping the lady who just helped me did it right this time. Always get employee names and case numbers!!! Will be getting a pass to the dump for much cheaper in the long run.

I ordered services to my new address 3 weeks ago. The lady told me my cans would arrive the following Thursday and service would begin on Thursday and they would pick up 6 30 gallon bags. Thursday came, no can and the 6 bags were still there. So I call and the lady says she will put out a pickup for the next day. Friday comes no pick up. So I call Friday evening the lady says she sets it up for Saturday and if they don't come by 1 to call. Saturday comes no pick up. I call AGAIN and the lady says they don't do Saturday pick up in my area and doesn't know why they would say that. She calls dispatch who says he will write my name down and pick it up. She explains to me that Friday it wasn't their area so they "didn't want to do it". But they will definitely be there Monday. So Monday comes and of course my trash is still sitting there. I call and cancel my services at this point, it's been 4 promised pick ups and nothing. The lady apologizes and closes my account. Wednesday they pick up my trash. I call back and after looking at my other options I decided to keep my services. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt with it being a holiday week and being a new customer. WRONG!!!! The woman I spoke with put in a "note" to keep my account open and stop them from picking up my cans. I apologized for being that customer. Lol. Yesterday (a week later) I come home and my cans are gone. I call back and explain what happened. The woman on the phone had the absolute worst attitude. She cut me off multiple times, and had a smart Alec attitude. She tells me I owe them 180 to restart service?!?! They picked up my trash 1 time AFTER I canceled my service. I explained one more time very politely that I never got service, how did I owe. Again she cut me off and said my bill was from 6/27. I never received a bill and 6/27 was the day I ordered my trash service. You don't pay until the quarter is up. At the end of the day, DO NOT USE REPUBLIC WASTE SERVICES. Customer service is horrible as well as being highly unorganized.
