Incredible place love this body shop!! They take care of you and treat you with kindness. In this day and age you don’t see this kind of community and heartfelt desire to help and go above and beyond. I felt like I was transported back to the time of my youth where people laugh and honestly care about doing the right thing and go beyond it. If I could give a hundred stars I would. Oh and the body work they did on my car was amazing!!
I've never had any issues with this local garage. Quick response times, speedy turn around and quality work. I've recommended several close friends and family members to their services due to the excellent service I've received countless times. A go to for all auto body and mechanical needs!
A great family owned business and some of the few remaining true auto body craftsman left, Joe’s Autobody turns out premium work without the premium price.
This is the place to go for all your automotive needs. They did an amazing job. I was very pleased with the work they did and the time that they did it in. I will continue to use them and recommend them to all of my friends and family
My 2012 lancer has been to Joe's auto body several times and everytime the work was fast and outstanding. Very affordable compared to others that my insurance company suggested. All paint jobs are still in great condition. Id recommend him to anyone and have.
My experiences with Joe's Auto Body has been nothing short of amazing. I have worked with Joe several times over a 20 plus year span. Service has always been great and my vehicle's have always come back looking much better than I thought they could.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service we received at Chaney’s Garage following our recent accident. As loyal supporters of small businesses, we chose your shop, hoping for a positive experience. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met, resulting in significant dissatisfaction and additional expenses.
Upon picking up our vehicle, we were appalled by the condition of the interior. It was heavily dusted from the paint room, the driver's side door panel was marred by an uncleaned spill, and the backup mirror was improperly repaired, missing a crucial rubber component. Furthermore, the unreplaced rear bumper strip resulted in the failure of our entire backup camera system. You assured us the bumper strip didn't need replacing, claiming it saved us money – a claim I strongly dispute.
One positive thing that came from this is the lift gate looks great!! You can not tell that it was damaged.
The timing of the vehicle's completion compounded the problem. Your shop's closure for vacation coincided with the car's supposed readiness, leading me to believe the repairs were rushed. The lack of staff present upon pick-up meant no one could oversee the vehicle's condition before we drove it away in the sweltering 100°+ heat. The car was so dusty and dirty that it required the efforts of three people simply to find a clean enough spot to sit.
Your subsequent calls, three to me and one to my spouse, only served to further underscore the lack of attention to detail. While you offered to rectify the situation, your repeated promises to "make things right" and "save us money" proved hollow. The "itemized bill" you provided was nothing more than a vaguely worded statement and failed to reflect the numerous issues we now face.
After retrieving the vehicle, we discovered the passenger-side rear panel was not properly put back, requiring further assistance. This negligent oversight, following the already unsatisfactory initial repairs, underscores a concerning lack of quality control at your shop. Now we are facing the additional cost of having our vehicle professionally detailed, a service you repeatedly promised but failed to deliver.
Instead of saving us money, your rushed and inadequate repairs have resulted in unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. Given the repeated failures and unmet promises, I strongly advise potential customers to carefully reconsider using Chaney's Garage for their vehicle bodywork and/or mechanical needs. We anticipated a professional and thorough service from a local business, but our experience fell dramatically short of those expectations. I believe a cut in price for the unsatisfactory repairs, alongside compensation for the additional detailing expenses, would have been a fair resolution.

Wow the guys are the best ever. Very professional and have a heart of gold. Very personable. They helped me with my oil cap and gave me the best oil change ever. He also looked over my car and told me a few things that needed to be fixed. Me and my husband will for now on continue with their business. I feel safe and they are trusting guys. I love their dog as well. She is super sweet.
I own an Auto Repair shop not far from Chaney's/Joes Garage and still felt inclined to give them a 5 start review so let that alone speak volumes. Joe is a great guy and it isn't hard to tell he cares about the quality of work that is produced under his roof as well as caring about his customers as people. When his customers walk in they seem happy to be there which isn't a common sight in this industry. You can tell when people do business with Joe they feel comfortable and confident leaving their vehicle in his hands. He has very competitive pricing for the quality of work he provides. 5 star shop and a pleasure to deal with.
I cannot recommend these guys enough. If you are within a reasonable distant to Clear Spring, or a little farther out, it will be worth the drive. They are known for auto-body work but after exchanging texts with Dustin, and then talking to him when picking up my car, I can tell he knows what he is doing, especially with european cars. Their quote alone was well below a couple of highly rated shops in Hagerstown, and you can tell they are fair, ethical people you can trust. He had no problem with me providing my own parts and his communication was on point via text. These are good, honest human beings.
If I could give this business 10 stars I would! It’s two day after Christmas and my wife and I are driving from West Virginia back home to Philadelphia. We are half way through our trip and all of a sudden my check engine light came on and my car started shaking. I got to an exit and Googled the closest shop to me, to my surprise there was a garage 2 miles away with nothing but 5 stars. I knew it was Friday afternoon after a holiday and it might be a long shot but I decided to drive there to see if they could help. I pulled up and explained the situation and they immediately went to work trying to help me. They were literally our Christmas miracle! They fixed multiple issues for me and for the most fair price I had ever seen and got us back on the road in less than 2 hours! They were the kindest and most honest people and I’m just so thankful I broke down where I did! Thank you again for saving us from a huge Christmas disaster!! 10 stars!!
I actually didn’t go here myself but my son broke down on the highway and they got the part he needed and had him back on the road in a couple hours. Thank you for taking care of my son.
Amazing people own this business. I was 5 hours from home on July 3rd and needed some help with my vehicle. They gladly helped me out and got me back on the road with minimal charge. Thank you for everything you did to help me.
Great customer service in Clear Spring, MD; affordable and dependable. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but you won't be upsold or tricked into spending more money here. I take all of my cars here. When my corolla's slave cylinder failed, they got the part in and repaired it quickly for me. I haven't had an issue since. Highly recommend!
I wish you could rate more than 5 stars because Joe's Auto Body Shop deserves it. The service was phenomenal and the communication was great. I would 10/10 recommend this shop to any and everyone i ever come in contact with that needs auto body work done. I feel like this review isn't enough to show much i appreciate this shop and the guys in it. These guys made my Mothers Day this year and don't even know it! I could cry typing this because both Dustin and Joe are proof that there are still GREAT people in this crazy world. Thanks again guys! Honest, trustworthy, and very respectful.
My mother stopped here by chance on a trip up to Ohio, concerned with a noise the car made in higher gears and on hills. They checked out the car promptly and were clear about the lack of concerns, then swiftly added oil and transmission fluid and got her back on the way! Friendly and dependable. Highly recommend.

Joe sold me the most badass, difficult as heck to drive though, Jeep Wrangler which I drove four years not knowing your supposed to put oil in the engine. If the Chaney's hadn't put so much care into their service no vehicle that old would have ran that long without the engine blowing up. Joe sold me the Jeep I knew he cherished bit did so because he probably could see the look of how bad a 16 year old wanted it to look cool in high school. Ironically, about the same time I transitioned from picked on dork to somewhat popular. He sold me a Jeep he kept in prestige condition for well under it's value and fixed it for free any time an envious high school adversaries put salt in the engine. It never once broke done entirely.
