This place is a simple pull over on state land. The road/path is not wide enough parking a pilot suv would block others unloading. The comment about fees was a scam or posted wrong. The reviewer has gone to Allen pond park per his history. In jan. I saw no signs of. A good fishing spot. If there is fishing beware of ticks as it is a bushy area. It was spotless clean. Visitor center at 301 bridge makes for a nice restroom during their very limited hours which I rush to so not sure u can launch with out getting your feet wet. Dear fishermen please take your bait and cuttings with you to keep ticks down. Aerial shows people parking on north side of rd and west of sign/putin. Also may be better putin.
Awesome little area. Great fishing and great place to watch the eagles and osprey. Just be careful because you will need to pull over on the side of a bush road
We went there quite often. Never ever had to pay to get it. Didn't even realize that was a thing there. Then one holiday weekend we are stopped at the entrance and told we have to pay to get in. Mind you, I'm driving a 15 passenger Van filled with developmentally disabled individuals smh. Very disappointing Allen's. You all are better of going to Tilghman Lake Park. It's Free to the community year round.
I love this place. I caught the biggest bass I ever have (like 9lbs and it was delicious) and today he caught a decent croaker. Its relaxing, the fishing is hot and its definitely not crowded. Fish variety and bite rate is excellent!
Gorgeous and so peaceful. It's the perfect place to just relax, fish, kayak, whatever your thing may be. This is one of my family's FAVORITE getaway spots.
