I don't know what these bad reviews are about. There's no glass or trash. It's a cute, little community beach with a playground. A bit shallow, but fun to splash around in.
Everything good It was a nice atmosphere. The people were friendly. only one thing some how my grandson cut his finger under the water beware of sharp glass.
My husband and I visited this beach on June 13, 2024 with our two dogs. It was a nice quiet beach with a couple of other families also there but then a large group of loud children showed up ages 2 -10 with only one adult. A couple of the 10 year old boys started following and harassing me as I swam out. Later they started yelling at a woman who was breastfeeding to uncover herself so they could watch and asking her to give them some. We left after that but I hope some local officials see this.
This is a community sponsored beach. It is wonderful for the children. When it was revitalized, the whole community got involved. It is time for the community to become involved again! Make sure you are cleanning up after your dogs, and if you make trash, throw it away!
There were a lot of glass shards on the beach. I hope that every visitor who comes here will do one thing to pick up the glass fragments to prevent children from being harmed.
Love this little Beach , but let's clean up, I noticed this last year the first time- the beach is littered with Glass.

But I went swimming anyway in April for the first time in 2024.
Love the swimming area but there is so much broken glass. People drinking on the beach. They need to clean it up. My kids get their feet cut up all the time. I had to buy water shoes ?. But who do we contact for this and other questions. I want to take a big floating water slide out there but don't know if your allowed
Unfortunately I have to agree with the last review. I took my three kids there over the 4th of July. My oldest was swimming and came up with a broken bottle about 20' out in the water. So I started looking around because my other two were on the beach. We filled a drink cup up with sharp edge broken glass in the sand. Packed up and left. We recently purchased in the area and we were really hoping this was a nice place. I will probably not take my kids there again. We will use the pier that is close for crabbing but that's it. Too dangerous.
