I purchased an engine for my old Acura off their website and drove from South Central Virginia to pick it up. I found them to have great communication and the process was so easy. I get that everyone has bad days, but I definitely had a much better experience with Brandywine than some other reviewers. I would definitely buy from them again. Totally worth the 4.5 hour drive up there.
I had a window replaced by brandywine. recycling in brandywine maryland. Not only did they tell me that it would be available the next day it took a week. And then when it came in they break the clips and left the handle was off the rear hatch as thay replacedit. The only reason I found out was I opened the gate and the trim fell down. For the most part philip was cool. The guy he sent me to take care of the situation was nasty. When I ask for some type of compensation, for may time considering it took me 45 minutes to come back. He mumbled under he breath that this was all it was about. When I asked him to repeat what he said. He did hesitantly. In which I have responded not at all. I walked out and said, never mind. He doesn't know or realize that i'm in customer service, and when someone make a mistake, we compensate and correct the situation for the customer. It's not their fault. At this point I highly recommend that if you need to replace a part

I called at 10:31 a.m. to confirm a car part was available. They said yes, I told them I was on my way, and they agreed. After driving 30 miles, I got there only to be told the part was sold. When I asked what time, the guy said 10:30 a.m. I showed him my call log proving I called at 10:31, but he still insisted it was sold by 10:32. The excuses and attitude were unbelievable. Complete waste of time and gas. Their customer service deserves zero stars—don’t trust their word, and don’t make the mistake of driving out there like I did.

The employees there will lie about what parts they have in stock. Drove an hour for them to tell me they had to order it.... Did that, said the part will be here next day by 12:30. Never came, kept calling and asking if it's there because I was DRIVING AN HOUR AGAIN assuming it was going to be there like they said. Well the part never came that day and I drove there for nothing. Called the next day hoping they just didn't call me and it came before closing to have them IGNORE MY PHONE CALLS UNTIL I CALLED FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER. Horrible customer service etiquette, there's better places to go. Only good thing is that they are supposedly giving me a refund for this three day useless venture. Not worth the time or money, found the same part for cheaper and same day just now.
Said my part would be available the next day. They lied and didn't Care. And when I confronted them they treated me like garbage. Never use them I hate them
I have been using this place since 1980. I have always got what I need at the best price. And with a warranty. No place else even comes close. And I'm a ASE master tech. Love this place
Sold me an altenator that lasted just past the 30 warranty then went out on me. This place used to be good years back. But I wouldn't recommend anyone buying there anymore. The customer service is horrible as well.
While this is not my first experience with BAS, It's been a few years, and somehow why did I think a leopard would change his strips, it's my fault for returning. This time I must talk about it to the public. Last time I was there, they held my car for well over two months, for a motor install, which you are required to purchase up front. This time a ordered a Transfer Case, Paid for it up front. They kept my car 3 full weeks before they touched it, oh and btw, they request that I pay for the labor IN ADVANCE to install!!!! Since when do you pay in full, before they start the work. After 3 weeks I picked it up, I Drove 1/4 of a mile, and discovered my car was the same as I took it in. I returned it, and they keep it ANOTHER FULL 9 days!!! I requested a Manager, and he (Stephen Meinhardt Jr.) emailed me, rather than calling me, then informed me to speak to his assistant Manager, JR, as he was out of the office. I called to speak to the Assistant Manager and after being on the phone with him all of approx. 3 to 4 minutes he (JR) HUNG UP ON ME, Literally !!!! I reported this back to the main manager, in which his response was to just come pick up my car, and have a great weekend!!! Neither offered any Customer Service or Resolution. While I never even raised my voice once at their level of disrespect, and very obvious lies, I did bring to their attention to lack of Customer Service, and I'm sure the owner has NO IDEA, what is going on behind the scene of his or her company. The cost of the rental car became almost as much as the labor, and my car is still not fixed. While their access to inventory for older model cars may be great, Customer Loyalty, Integrity and Respect they fail -1% A One star is to gracious......
I bought a roof rack here and I gotta say, the pickup department are amazing. The guy who helped me fit my roof rack to my crv was great helping me on figuring out how to fit in my car. When I realized I was missing some mounting screws, front allowed me to ask the pick up department and when I did, they were very receptive of my concerns. They were nice and super pleasant, the guy who helped me the day before was there again. I wish I got his name to add to this review. He’s caucasian, I’d say mid 50s and very easy going and sorta like a jokester, very good guy. On top of that, there was Christine, who I spoke to initially and when she reappeared, she said “are these what you’re looking for??”… voilaaaa there’s 4 of them she found on the floor. Must’ve fell from transport or something. But when I said “YESSS… I just need 6 more lol”… she went outside with me and she patiently searched the pickup area with me and we found additional 5 more. All in all, I’m very pleased with my experience with them. Good customer service are dime a dozen these days. I’m more than willing to give praise to good employees like Christine and the pickup gentleman. They make your business look good!!!
Disaster from the start! Went there to get a Transmission put in my car after I was called to bring it in just to be told their transmission guy was out. So they had my car for TWO MONTHS and finally started working on it. They told me one price but once the guys started on the transmission they then say I had to pay for gaskets and other stuff that was associated with the transmission. To which I thought was covered in the price. He said no it’s not they never tell people about this. Paid an extra 2 something i believe. A month after that pick up my car they said I had a bad gas line then needed attending to. An extra 1 something!!! Notice a dent in my passenger side door that I couldn’t open the door. Nobody knew what happen it must have been like that. Which it wasn’t! To shorten this story, make sure you ask questions and take pictures of your car before and after
Scammers! they sell you faulty used parts and they said it was tested it before selling them to you and the catch is when you return them, they charge you 25% of what you paid for and I bet you they put the faulty part back in the shelf for the next customer to bait on , avoid this place if you don’t want to have a bad day
Came here for a gas can and I must say, these people are a rip off and very rude and unprofessional. I ran out of gas, stuck on the side of the road. I was charged $31.34 for a small used gas can. These people will never get my business again.

I wanted to buy the door of a car they listed on their website. I confirmed by email that they had the car. I drove 2 hours to their Upper Marlboro location, and they told me it wasn't there, and I needed to go to the Brandywine location. So, I drove another 25 minutes to Brandywine, and now they tell me it's back at the Upper Marlboro location, but they can have it there tomorrow.
I specifically told them I wanted the car in grey, as it was listed. Brian at the desk pulled up the car on the screen and asked me to confirm if that was the one. I came the next day to pick it up, and it was a completely different color.
Instead of apologizing, Brian aggressively told me, "Say no more, that’s not what happened, I never told you it would be the car from the listing." He refunded my money, and as I was leaving, he said, “You're welcome!” twice. For what??? I guess people at the counter are trained to be entitled, rude, and lie to customers' faces.
If you want to waste your time, be bounced back and forth, lied to, and have snippy comments thrown at you, this is the place!
Very poor customer service . Displeased with the way I was talked to in an effort to return a part for which I was not correct part for my vehicle based on year made model information Supplied .. Was unable to return part and they did not attempt to offer any alternative.
Reasonable prices, timely service . Poor customer service as it pertains to communication to customers and conveying policies at time of purchase. Return policy not listed on electronic receipts for online purchases or stated during initial pickup of item.
Very rude employee! Put me on hold for 10 plus minutes, then hang up the phone. I drove 35 minutes and didn't have the part I needed. It's been like that for years, but what is a person to do? Largest salvage yard in my area. And they know that.
Went there to buy a spotlight for my retired police car and they had one available! Price was very cheap too as it was only 20$ compared to the normal price! Also worked once I installed it.
As a Business owner, I do not like leaving a bad review because I do understand that employees sometimes have bad days. My experience at this facility was terrible. I stopped at this store to pay for and pick up a part that i thought was put aside for me. I spoke with a heavy set gentleman that was sitting at the counter, he had the worst condescending attitude that I have ever seen in my life. His attitude I guess reflects the kind of parts they sell. It is sad a company that big and that does that amount of business cannot spend some money on training their employees on how to treat customers. All the owner has to do is to play back the lobby camera on 01/23/24 at about 3pm and see how potential customers are spoken to.

I do appreciate you looking into it, I was told by my parts guy that he spoke to dsmith, I tried to show your parts guy a copy of the invoice after he stated that there was not a dsmith that work there, the order#is198153/3 if you want me to be specific, Mr Brandywine which is what I will call him claimed that the invoice was a credit, keep in mind I just bought that part an hour before I came in I needed a second piece which we were told was there and would cost $150. He probably could not read the numbers on my phone which I tried to show him but he kept yelling that he did not want to see my phone and that I had to place the phone against the Covid screen. The point of this review is that the guy was extremely rude, it does not matter if I was buying anything, look and listen to the tape and you will get your answer, if you are okay with the way your employee spoke and treated me then I guess we have a different opinion about what customer service is suppose to look like.
Prices are reasonable. Would check before arriving as I traveled 1.5hrs only to be told they have 6 used batteries in stock. However, when I called ahead, they assured me there were plenty. Had to buy a new one.
After my car window was shattered, due to an overnight intruder, I didn't know what to do. Filing the standard police report, it was suggested for me to go to a reputable window replacement company. However, they were unable to serve me because of my older model vehicle. Nevertheless, I thought of Brandywine Auto Parts and called them. Joe, who mans the front desk, readily answered the phone. He did a search of parts and found what I needed. I set up up a day to come in, and they took care of me. Didn't wait very long, and the waiting area was clean. It had vending machines filled with snacks and drinks. Also, I walked to the adjacent auto supply store to browse and see what's available.
Joe kept me updated regarding the time remaining before my vehicle would be ready. He also introduced me to the gentleman installing the window (didn't get his name), and he was kind as well. I was there for almost two hours, which wasn't a big deal for me. I left feeling relieved that I could drive my vehicle again without being in harm's way, Thank you to Joe and the crew at Brandywine Auto Parts. You turned a bad situation into a good one. I would highly recommend Brandywine Auto Parts for your auto needs, especially older model vehicles. Professionalism, knowledge, and promptness were definitely selling points to me.
This merchant claimed to have the part I needed available for my car. They said it was in good condition and that once I paid for the part a ticket would be created to have the part I needed removed from the vehicle in their junk lot. I paid for the part and waited five days for the part. On the day I was told the part would be ready I called the store and they assured me the part would be ready at 12pm. A little after 12pm I called again and my sales representative informed me that the part I needed was damaged and could not be used or salvaged for sale. I was assured this part was in good condition when I paid for the part. I feel like my time was completely waisted with the games played regarding the amount of time it took for my refund to process and the time it took for me to confirm the “didn’t have a working part” in the first place. If you don’t have a part, don’t take someone’s money. Poor quality non reputable company. Would not recommend this junk yard or for anyone to travel to this location for any service. Highly disappointed customer.
Drove up on a Saturday morning for a part which I was able to get for a reasonable price (drivers side rear view mirror). I was told to return Monday morning if I want to get it put it on. No appointments just first come first served. I returned Monday morning, paid for the service just to be turned away because the mechanic called out sick. I was told to return the next day but there was NO guarantee. I had to get a refund for my money but I couldn’t for my time!!
I asked for a recommendation on somewhere close since I drove the hour, they weren’t helpful in that way COULDN’T provide a recommendation. I expressed how the mirror was banging against my window and door it was extremely to drive with. And they told me NO they COULDN’T tape the hanging mirror given I drove the hour just to be TURNED AWAY with no reasonable solution.
I won’t be returning.
I hope the owners response serves as a reason for you to reconsider stopping by as well.
Went up there yesterday to order parts for my car. Was told that they would be ready the next day and that I would receive a call. Waited until noon to call and was given a bunch of attitude for simply asking if my parts were ready. After being left on hold for almost 30 minutes, I call back and am told by the assistant that " Oh the people who usually handle new parts are on vacation." as if that justifies their lack of customer service skills.
Anyway, he says he's going to look up my order and give me a call back. Calls back just to tell me that nobody even put in the orders from yesterday. So if I never called nobody would have ever called me or even knew that I had purchased parts. Asked for a refund because there is absolutely no excuse for that kind of incompetence, I don't care who didn't show up for work that day. Please take your money to a business with more professionalism and consideration for it's customers.
Great place very good inventory on all make and models of vehicles..The customer lounge is has comfortable has a class room .Has the photos I updated are founded in . Two dollars admission to enter the yard with your own tools ....
I ended up fully returning my part. They then charged me 25% for a restocking fee because they ordered the part. I'M PAYING 25% THEM FOR THEM GIVING ME THE WRONG PART AND REFUSING TO CONTINUE BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY WILL GET YOUR ORDER WRONG THEN CHARGE YOU FOR IT. I traveled an hour away from my house n back to get jerked and stolen from.
