We were founded in 2001 as a full service automotive repair, tire, and wheel center. Owner Mike Bertoldi had 20 years of experience with Goodyear before opening M & J Complete Auto Care. We have spent the last 12 years delivering extensive auto repairs and tire sales to satisfied customers and recently expanded into a new six-day facility.

I have been taking my cars to M&J for over 15 years. For the most part they have been fair and honest. However, if they damage your vehicle in any way shape of form, they will not take responsibility, regardless of how major or minor the damage. They will respond by say something like "there is no way we did that", "not possible", "we're 100% sure we couldn't have done that". Even if you have pictures validating the damage was not there before brought your car to them.......because they did it before. The owner, Mike, will not assume responsibility or even entertain the conversation of responsibility, and then he will tell you to never bring you car back. It takes a special kind of person to viscously disregard obvious proof of responsibility in leu of maintaining a long term, good paying customer.
I've used M&J off and on for years since we moved to Maryland. Recently my son's fiance car we took in for an oil change at Jiffy and they said the oil pan plug was stripped and the pan would need replaced. It's an expensive fix, I brought the car to M&J expecting a big cost. Fortunately they called to say they were able to pull the plug and could replace, all said with oil change it was $108 and change. What a relief, thanks for being honest.
M & J offers a no nonsense auto care experience. The staff is knowledgeable and present options when available. The prices are the best around. They stand behind their work.
I’m sure they know how to fix a car but to me the MOST important thing for a mechanic to be is trust worthy and honest ! I did not get this vibe from them, of coarse they will smile in your face but not sincerely. I had my car inspected here. They told me my brakes and rotors were bad. What they didn’t know was I drove the car for 200 miles on temp tags before inspection with the brakes feeling and sounding fine. Once I picked my car up and took it to our family mechanic to do the work for 1/3rd of the price M&J quoted me, it was confirmed ! My front brakes were NOT EVEN BAD AT ALL, normal wear but not bad enough to fail even by close. And the rotors were passable but close to needing replaced. My mechanic said rotors could of went either way, but that told me they aren’t doing me any favors and they’re ALL ABOUT THE BUCK ! On top of that the tint on the car was 35% but since the person tinted over the factory 95% or whatever it is, they were 30-31%. They made me taste it all off and have to pay $200 the next day to put back on ! I know that’s a little petty on my part but come on, really. I want a garage that I at least FEEL LIKE they are on my side, helping me. Adding salt in the wound once I took it back for re-inspection at a “cheaper price”…
But they came up with some bull ish why they had to re-charge me full price $75 ! But I know it’s because I took my car elsewhere for the repairs they found because of they’re crazy high quote.
He literally told me, they don’t make anything on inspections… lie ? I don’t know but hard to believe. Good luck if you don’t listen to me. All I know is there are too many other option before ever going back to this place !
This place is great, family owned and operated. 1 of only 2 shops that I trust with my repairs when I'm not doing them myself. Honest, fair, and reasonably priced. Also, they get you in for repairs in a timely manner.
When I moved to the area I needed to find someone to service my Cars. So happy I read the reviews and went to M&J. They are easy to schedule service with, and most importantly are honest have fair pricing and overall are just great people to work with. Added bonus is the car wash across the street!

I had a slow leak in my tire. Thankfully I was just up the road from M & J and was able to get there safely. I was greeted as soon as I opened the door and they helped me right away even though I was not a regular customer. Highly recommend their customer service.
M&J Consistantly Provides First Rate Service. We trust them implicitly with our vehicles. For more than seven years M&J has been our only and trusted shop. They have always been honest with us, fair, and completely transparent when discussing services that we require. There has never been a time that we have not been 100% HAPPY to pay an automotive repair bill with these good people. We know that we were treated right, our vehicles are well maintained, and our community is better because they serve us well.
Car recently repaired ... ABS Svc lights were on ... brakes grinding ... problem diagnosed correctly and repaired ASAP ... great people to work with ... I would highly recommend M&J to friends and family ...
They fixed my truck when my regular mechanics were unable to figure out the problem. Very professional. The cost was reasonable. They even give you incentives to come back again.
I called Mike on Saturday to make and appointment to have my car detailed.He said great bring it in on Monday at 8a.m.I brought my car in on Monday at 8a.m..mike calls me at 11:30 to inform me that the guys that does the detailing was out all wk.(serious) like mike you didn't know that Saturday? Then he goes on to say that he would give me a free car wash.lol..BAD BUSINESS MIKE!!!
I have been looking for an honest and trustworthy auto place since coming to Maryland 4 years ago! I believe I have finally found one. I brought my car in for a problem, and the crew fixed it without coming up with 20 more things I "needed" to have done on my car. This is a first since coming to Maryland. I have had so much pressure to do things I had already taken care of myself (like changing out spark plugs that I just changed) that I had almost given up finding an honest auto place. I highly recommend this place, and will take my car there for all its needs from now on. Thank you!
I have been coming to M&J for years. I've never before felt so confident about an auto repair shop as I do with owner Mike B. and his team. Q, Bill, Phil and the rest of the staff are excellent. They're friendly, knowledgeable, sincere, and caring. I would not go anywhere else, and if you haven't tried them yet, I strongly suggest you do. You'll be convinced, like I am.
