Great owner, mechanics, and staff. Seamless process; worked with my extended warranty company, and got the repair approved. All I had to do was get the vehicle to the shop, give final approval, pay my balance, and pick her up. I had a transmission rebuild. Everything is working great!

Two weeks ago, after reading all their reviews and talking to Tasha on the phone twice, I took my car in. They got me diagnosed quickly and gave me multiple options. I chose to have the in-house rebuild by their expert. They got me in, rebuilt, and back on the road within 5 days as promised, even after I asked them to go ahead and do a tune-up including plugs, clean throttle body, mass air flow sensor, and an oil change. Took it in today to have it checked out and verify there were no leaks and activate my warranty. They seemed kind and honest and understand customers needs.

Brandon and Harford County Transmissions were amazing! They took on my Husbands truck that needed a lot of repairs we were able to drop the truck Off on the weekend with no one there and it was ready to fix come Monday when they opened. They promised the truck to be completed on Friday and it was done on Thursday. They sent photos and videos of what needed to be repaired via text! Truly a great experience from start to finish. Chris the owner was very thorough in finding out the cause of my problem with reverse on my Suburban. Found the issue and had it fixed in 4 days and haven’t had any issues.

It was a challenge to replace the engine in my 2006 Pontiac, but they got the job done and kept the price reasonable. They are honest and work hard every time I've used them. I don't trust my car to anyone else!

Harford County Transmission and Automotive is a great place to take your vehicle. My 2015 Tahoe required a complete re-build. The work was completed in 3 days. Their pricing is more than fair and the quality of their work is exceptional. This is the second vehicle that they have worked on for me and both repairs were perfect.

They were honest and straightforward in their pricing and the quality of their work. Unfortunately, honesty and fairly valued quality service are rare to find these days. I’m particular with who I take my vehicles to and Brandon answered my questions/concerns without hesitation in detail. These guys earned my trust and I will be returning for additional work as needed/required.
My 05 Dodge 3500 4x4 trans went back in May 2016. And I called around and went to a couple place to compare prices. Harford County Trans beat them by a lot. Plus was able to drop it off over quickly and have it back by the end of the week. And it was night and day difference in how the trans made the truck move. The power from just having the trans rebuild like better then new Truck. I had them do a shift kit and a low stall converter with. I had a few issues with it shifting at first but they were able to adjust and my truck work and run great. My truck is a daily driver and work truck, and normally weighs about 9,000 Lbs rolling. And I'm getting 19.5 mpg driving 75 to 80 on the hwy up in the mountains of PA.
This transmission business deserves an A+ in so many ways! Their Service Manager, Brandon Carnell did an excellent job of reassuring us about how the repair work would be done on our truck and the warranty that accompanies their work. We had done our own checking around beforehand and found out how great All their reviews were. Brandon was a polite and knowledgable young man and we enjoyed working with him. You need to trust these transmission specialists. They know what they are doing!
Vehicle was towed in on on a Thursday morning but wasn't even looked at until I called them on Monday to find out what was up. They diagnosed quickly after that, took pictures and sent me a link with all the recommendations. I thought pricing for the work they did was reasonable. However they wanted to change out the battery and quoted me $267 which is ridiculous. Nothing wrong with the existing battery and if I needed one I could buy one and install for 1/2 that price.
I brought my car here because of all the great reviews and they did not disappoint! They are so friendly, helpful, and honest. They let me know everything that was wrong with my transmission. They also did a courtesy full car inspection to help me decide if replacing the transmission was worth it. Chris even offered different options to help reduce the cost and make it more manageable, including financing a portion of the cost. I haven't proceeded with the work yet so cannot give an opinion on that but I am pretty certain it will be just as excellent as my current experience has been. I absolutely recommend them!
Dropped my car off to get transmission flush, oil change and coolant replaced. Jim performed a vehicle inspection, sent me the report and called to explain the inspection results and the work he was completing. No pressuring me into services that were unnecessary and shared what maintenance I will need in the near future. He completed the services in a timely manner, explained costs before performing services, and now everything is running smoothly.
I had to change my original appointment and it was very easy. All of the employees that I spoke with were accommodating, professional and just down to earth. I didn’t feel like I was just a dollar sign.

The owner was very upfront and transparent with the costs Etc on the total process. Took my sons Dodge ram for rear end noise. They evaluated the whole truck and sent pictures of everything they found that need immediate attention and ones that will meed future attention. The rear end needed rebuilt and break lines needed replaced among some other things with transmission fluid and gasket, pan and power steering fluid. He took the time to explain each thing and asked if i want parts from dodge or was i ok with off brand parts. I said the more economical parts are good. He worked hard to find the best parts at the best price to stay in my budget. They kept us up to date on progress. When we picked up the truck the estimate was exactly what they quoted us. Even after he was unable to find the after market parts and had to get the more expensive parts he didn't charge me the difference he kept the price as quoted. He also did extra work that he saw needed attention and fixed it without additional fees. He wants us to come back after 2 weeks just to recheck everything and make sure things are still good. Also offers a warranty on all work. I would highly recommend Harford Transmission and will be using them for future car repairs.
