I recently had an excellent experience at Carpenter’s. The customer service was excellent. Bud was very attentive and friendly and explained things to me so that I understood. (I don’t understand “car speak”). The price for my service was actually lower than the estimate!!! That was a bonus!
I have used Carpenters ever since I moved to the area 9 years ago. Roy and Sue were always wonderful to work with and I never had to return any vehicles after their repair.
The new owners are great also! I was headed to work recently when I heard my brakes for the first time and knew I needed help. I was close, so I stopped by and found I needed new rear brakes and rotors. They kindly fit me in right away so I didn’t have to miss any more days from work. I’m so grateful for that kindness to help me out!!
just took my truck to Carpenters for an oil change and tire rotation. Truck was running perfectly when I drove there, as it has been for the last year at least. When I left, it was running rough, as if missing one cylinder. When I got home, I lifted the hood and found one of the spark plug wires disconnected. Brand new set of wires that I installed only a short time ago. No possible way it just fell off. I believe it was a classic rip-off maneuver. I go back to tell them it’s running rough, they throw up their hands and offer to check it out. Then diagnose a bad distributor or fuel injection problem or whatever.
I would stay away from this place.
Honest, trustworthy, reasonable, and skilled. What more could you ask for in an auto mechanic? They helped me nurse along a 1995 Chevy 1500 well passed its time, all the while providing great advice about what was worth trying to fix and what wasn't. One time, a reconditioned part they installed failed on day two, and they were at my home with their tow truck within an hour and returned my truck repaired the next day. Eventually, I had to agree with them that my girl had reached the end of her life. I won't go anywhere else to have my vehicles repaired.
They are scams they claimed they fixed my car but the next day it broke down and had to get the car fixed by someone else. The same part they claimed they replaced. She also wrote my card info down and charged me again 2 days later for the same amount. Then would not answer phone for me. Had to resort to police. She is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I highly discourage ANYONE from going here.
Just had them work on my wife's jeep. What would have taken me 2 days took them 2 hours from tow to finish. I felt like the pricing on both the job and the tow was very fair. We also use them for all our trailer inspections for the boat dealership I work at. They have always been very accommodating... even if it is last minute (on our part). Has been a great partnership.
My husband and I have had 2 of our vehicles worked on at Carpenter's recently. I have nothing but great things to say about Carpenter's Auto Repair. When you schedule an appointment your vehicle is worked on that day, the customer service is awesome and their prices are unbeatable. We will not take our vehicles anywhere else!!!
Have delt with them on two occasions one voluntarily the other not so much (my fault not theirs). Over priced on both occasions which is why I would not have returned voluntarily and rude. Not all of the staff should be thrown in this box but deffinelt encountered some negative attitudes.
When you schedule an appointment, you most likely will get your car back the same day. Very reasonablely priced and we trust them to maintain/service our vehicles. Very knowledgeable on all vehicles.
The absolute best place I have found and only trust them to work on my vehicles. They don't lie about what you need and they don't try to pad the bill. I drive an hour and a half to bring my vehicles here and it is well worth it.
