I would rank them among the bottom of repair shops. If you need anything other then a simple oil change or tire rotate you will not have your car for a while(several days to weeks).I wouldn't trust them to even do that . They want top dollar but don't do top dollar work. I dont know why they have such a high rating I know a lot of people who wont do business with them. I have had my car retuned leaking oil from the oil drain plug (had to fix myself) as well subpar repair work even missing parts after repair was done by them . You have been warned!!!!!! Update when i first posted this review they had a few reviews and a low rating of 2. Now you see they have 43 and a higher rating . Thee is a common theme in the bad reviews think logically. If you see alot of the reviews dont give there experience with the shop. There are not real reviews this has been done to get the rating up. Probably fake people cant fool me.
Seemed friendly when I dropped my truck off. We will see how it goes.

They found a few other things that needed attention and they took care of it all. Friendly & helpful people.
My Brakes went out so I took my truck in first thing Monday morning.
I explained that I needed it by tues night if possible. They said they would try. They had it done by tues afternoon. Everything is great & I was able to pick up my wife at the airport on time.??
Excellent service, reasonable price. I would never take my car to anyone else. They never push unneeded work. I have been going for years and Cecilton Auto in Galena is simply the best. My car is a 2010 and is still on the road thanks to the staff and crew. Job Well Done !!!

This place is a scam… Told my cousin they would have his vehicle back to him in a day, it took 2 weeks of him hounding them to even get an answer from them and the lady answering the phone was rude like he was bothering her by calling for an update. The vehicle was “fixed” and returned only to break down right away with the same problem it went in with. This place takes absolutely no accountability and they don’t stand behind their word… You’re better off going to a pep boys then this place… They should be a shame of themselves for treating customers that way….
Very Disappointed. Disappointed because they lied, mislead, and decieved me into fixing something that didn't need fixed, tried to trick me into spending an additional $600 for something that was obviously not needed. Then when I finally got my vehicle home. It was still broken. Mislead about time frame, mislead about diagnostics, and extremely rude receptionist. They'll never see a dollar of my money again. ???Now I'm out $600 but still broken down. Never understood how some people can lie to innocent people just to steal money. Then sit down and eat dinner while the victim still suffers. Bright side.. at least I didn't fall for the 2nd $600 lie
They were very prompt in repairing our vehicle. Rented a car because we thought it woyld take longer. They had it completed the next day. Friendly service, even though they were very busy. Will definitely use them again. ??
Way way way to expensive, the price they STARTED at for a new ac compressor was at 800.00 and that was not the final estimate , over the phone. I paid 1,000 for the vehicle lol....no freaking way. I will not be calling them again
Supplied the parts for my truck, spark plugs, temperature sensor, valve cover gasket, thermostat., I pulled a plug out, they were not changed, the points on the plugs were almost gone, did not change and they kept the new ones, did not put temp. sensor in, they kept it as well, and was charged 450.00, they also kept my valve cover gasket, there was two in the pack, I'm afraid to look too see if new gasket was put on, I would never recommend going there
they deserve 5 stars.im so happy with the work.i have a 2013 ford fusion. didnt no what the problem was but I knew it was electrical...the guy there Matt said Mr Wesley your car will not leave here until he fixed the problem. a day later he called and said your car was done..problem fix and a very low bill.thanks cecilton auto repairs
They tried to charge me $487 to diagnose my car and replace spark plugs and wires... once I asked if he could break down the pricing and questioning it somehow only my wiring could need replaced and once I said I was going to look somewhere else because of the price and that I just needed the estimate for the repair it was only 175$ after I paid $75 for them to diagnose it. This man is a scam. Rude to customers and ladies at the front desk have an attitude. I’ll be going somewhere else.
Great service. Very professional and knowledgeable mechanics. They let you know what your vehicle will need in the near future without being pushy. Highly recommend.
The owners and mechanics are extremely detailed, professional and are dedicated to resolving the problem! They took our BMW, diagnosed it and fixed it. They fixed the issues after 3 separate trips to the BMW dealership and they couldn't resolve the issue! I would recommend Cecilton auto above any dealership! - Jody Brackins
trust the staff at Cecilton Auto Repair. They listen. They are highly qualified. They accommodate your schedule. I have recommended them to family and friends.
Family oriented service garage with nice people, and nice dog! Look --anytime you get car service you always think it costs too much, but i do think these people are fair and try to give you a good deal. They are reasonably quick, and seem to do a good job. They have free ride-backs which is very useful. Appointments usually within a few days. Real easy walking distance to royal farms if you do have to wait, and want a snack.
If I could give zero stars I would. Took it in for an inspection and it cost $800 dollars to get it to pass. Fine. Less than a week later the service engine light comes on. Now I have an issue with the EVAP valve. Another $400 dollars and a week and a half later the service engine light comes on again. Now I supposedly have an issue with the EGR valve and temp sensor. I took it to my old mechanic. Turns out they unhooked the temp sensor and there was no issue with the EGR valve. He also informed me the issue was with the EVAP valve (leak detected) that they supposedly replaced. He reconnected the temp sensor and replaced the EVAP valve. I have had no problems since. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the defective caliper that I took it in for multiple times that they kept misdiagnosing and charged me for a different service each time. STAY AWAY!

I would highly recommend Cecilton Auto Repair in Cecilton, MD. Every time I walk into the lobby I am greeted by friendly staff that is committed to fixing my car correctly to insure that I will always be safe. My family brings all of our vehicles here and we have never experienced any problems. They are very reliable and I am always pleased with the price. I am very appreciative for everything they have done and would not take my vehicles anywhere else.
Very good work, I take all my vehicles there. I've tried other places nearby, and I'm never happy with the work. But at Cecilton Auto Repair, I'm always satisfied with the price, the turnaround time, and the quality of the work. I've never had to return to get something fixed again once they fixed it, and they've never tried to rip me off. The people are friendly and the service is unmatched.
About me: I fix the little things myself and change my own oil, but for bigger or harder repairs, I take it to Cecilton.
