Does not do right by their customers. I bought an inexpensive pack of vacuum line plugs. Like $6. Ended up not having the size I needed. I tried to return it and was told by "the boss" that I cannot return it because, "I can't resell that since it was opened". So the store can't tape it closed and put it back on the shelf... ok... well. It's not about the money. It's the fact you didn't even try to work with me or even apologize for not being able to take it back. It's the fact that after you said you won't take it back, you immediately dismissed me and ignored me like I was garbage and not even worth telling me to have a nice day. You just lost a customer for life.

Website says they close at 8. Pull up at 7:45, already closed. Imagine the laziness they tend to your vehicle with. Go down the street to auto zone instead

Simple, quick and easy to get in and out of they were not busy at all so it was very helpful for them to assist me. And everybody there was very kind. I'm visually impaired and a little slow from a TBI so I was very grateful.

I have had good experiences previously with this location. This week however I went in to pick up a small online order and one of the associates was working with someone on the phone and was the only one at the counter. I stood there and waited over 5 minutes being able to see at least one more person around the stock shelves to the right and I believe they may have been talking to another person. It was pretty awkward just standing there. You might think that the associate on the phone would at some point cover the mouthpiece and call for someone to come up and help me. I was the only one in the store. Finally another associate came up from the back area to acknowledge me and give me my order. I am going to give the team the benefit of the doubt and assume they did not see me there but you would think the associate on the phone would at some point cover the mouthpiece and call for someone to come up and help me.

Better service than Auto Zone. Igor was really helpful and ordered my air filter that Auto Zone said wasn't available at any of their locations. Definitely will be using this location for my auto needs. Auto Zone was very hectic. Customer service was alright but not very personable.

Live in owings mills, the reisterstown store is definitely avoidable, but the new Sykesville store was worse. The guy behind the counter knew nothing but made up some stuff to me as a mechanic & 2 female customers that was nonsense. Definitely sticking with Westminster, longer drive but intelligent employees and very competent

I came to Advance (the ONLY place my mechanic recommends), with a mystery issue, to ask them to run their diagnostic tests on my battery, starter, and alternator. They ran the tests, told me what the tests came up with and, post test, I turned my vehicle off. Their employee, Brandon, wanted to make sure my vehicle started again so I could go before he went back into the store. Lo and behold, it would not start. I ended up having to call AAA for a tow so my mechanic could get my vehicle to where my mechanic could fix the issue. But, when I tell you Brandon went above and beyond, I am not exaggerating. He tried everything he knew how to do in an attempt to get my vehicle started one more time so I wouldn’t need a tow truck. No exaggeration, he spent at least an hour of time with me and my vehicle. He, and his coworkers that had eventually joined my spectacle, were very kind and generous with their time and knowledge base. As I already mentioned, I had to resort to a tow, but this wasn’t for lack of trying on his/their part/s to assist me! Highly recommend this location.

Everything you'd expect from an auto parts store except - there was a line but they only had one person working a register causing a line to grow, especially when the customer 2 ahead in line had a problem with his payment.

I've had great experiences with the employees at this store. They are friendly and helpful. Wanted to give a shout out to Dan, who I noticed was great with the customer in front of me and then installed my replacement headlights.

Store supposed to open at 9am. And isn’t open. 17 other people waiting in cars left. I was stuck as I needed a battery for my car and can’t start. And the time is 10:15 am. Guess they don’t have reliable workers. One of them was up set stating some times they don’t even open or open 4 hrs later. They should close this store if they are going to run it this way. Also notify UPS they should consider removing this store from their drop off pick up site if they can’t open on time. Should have a descent curtesy to post a sign for new hours or something. That way I would have not have turned off my motor and leaving me stuck there.

After trying to place an on-line order for pick up, I discovered it would not let me go through with the purchase because the brake pads I needed were not in stock. I called the store in Eldersburg to verify availability of the specific brake pads needed. They assured me that they were in stock. Traveled to the store, picked them up, brought them home, and realized they were the wrong pads. Granted, I did not check the box before exiting, but I trusted these folks, and never had to check the box any other time prior to this visit. Long story longer, I had to travel to Reisterstown to get the pads, and return the ones I just purchased. Time was of the essence that day. I was prepping the truck to haul the RV for a camping trip the following day, and it was hot as Hades. Advance let me down in a big way that day.

Dan went above and beyond to help change a bad battery for me in high temps while I had my kids with me. He is a champion of customer service and Advance Auto should be grateful to have him. Thanks Dan!

There should be a way for customers to look up part numbers without having to ask clerk. I usually prefer to get the cheaper variety for filters and had to get more costly one. They would have gotten a bigger sale if I had a choice.

Went in for a wiper blade replacement. Store Manager was extremely helpful. I was in and out in about 2 minutes. He even offered to install it for me. Very professional and helpful.

So I went on line and found what I was looking for, then called the store they did not recognize the part I was talking about. So I won't to the website and gave them the part number. They said yes we have the part. I said I'll be there in 10 minutes. I arrived at the store and asked if r the part, they tolde it is over in the corner go get it. I brought it back and asked for my on line discount,they said I had to ouder it on line and if I did it would take an hour to get the part.Give me a break the person couldn't find the part until I found it for them. Then I couldn't get a break on the price.

Stopped in to buy battery for my Honda Pilot. Prompt, friendly service. explained multiple options for the battery that fit my vehicle and did not try to upsell to the Platinum version. Then, the team took time to install the battery in the parking lot. i was in and out in 15 minutes with a new battery and no greasy hands! Thanks to the team at Advance.

Wanted to change our MDX car battery. They guided us that we don't need to change our battery right away because it is charging fine. We ended up not buying a battery. Great staff and service.

Sales person was extremely pleasant.. But told me the wrong information on the headlights I needed for my car. He said I needed one headlight bulb per side, when in fact I needed two per side. one low beam for each side and 1 high beam for each side. Luckily we had the car there and he went out and looked and I looked and agreed with me that I needn't 4 balls.

Ordered online and then ended up not having the item when I went to pick up. The Manager upgraded me to the next best level of the item that I wanted at no extra charge. Always going here when I need to wrench on my vehicles! Update 1-2-20 doing rear drums on a truck. Called for pricing on the housing for drum breaks. Person told me over the phone a price. I went in store to grab it and the price I was given on the phone was not what I was told in store. This has happened to me 3 times over the past 2 months. I had this at 5 stars but I’m dropping it. Hopefully they can get back to it...employees were rude when I told them about the phone call and told me I was wrong even though that’s what I was told over the phone.

Best customer service ever! I bought a replacement low beam bulb for my Honda Odyssey. I tried and tried to get the bulb to release from the headlight connector, but it was stuck solid. Val offered to fix it for me and got the job done in 2 minutes. She knows her stuff! Thanks a million...

I purchased a battery 2 1/2 years ago and it is no longer keeping its charge. I brought it back to the store to be replaced under its warranty plan because they guarantee that it will be good for three years. I brought it in and they told me that the battery works fine and that nothing is wrong with it. When I left the store my car wouldn’t start and they had to jump it. I asked them if you still think it’s okay and they said yes! I have two places test the battery and they both informed me that it needs to be place. Now I’m stuck with a bad battery and they will not exchange it. I will no longer shop at this place !!

We had a wonderful experience today. The sales people were so nice and friendly, especially funny. Matt and Maria were very attentive. They look so happy and energetic, very willing to do what they can for us and other customers we saw that came in. We would definitely like to see them again in action! Thank you for your great, exciting service! I change my review. I ran into my little Asian Girl the other day and asked her why I haven’t seen her at work. She explained that she had left the job and get that she felt that things were too complicated there. It’s upsetting not to see her there anymore and that she did not pursue to take things to corporate. She was always so happy and amusing. I will miss her smile.

I ordered my battery online for instore pickup and the staff there was so friendly and helpful. I wish I remembered their names but the woman confirmed that I had purchased the correct battery and the gentlemen installed it for me right away after testing to make sure I really needed a new one versus a charge.i will definitely return in the future!

Visited today to get a oil filter for my car. First, they sold me the wrong filter (computer recommendation would not fit), then after returning back to the store they said that the size I needed would have to be ordered. I was able to go next door to another large retailer where the filter was in stock for 35% less than Advance. Neither convenient nor cost effective, hence the 2 stars.

- Clean - Low Traffic Store - I will NOT RETURN due to the poor customer service, as there are other Auto Parts Stores who have excellent customer service. - Associate was NOT WILLING to hook computer to my car to determine ERROR CODES. He LIED to me, and told me no one in the area performs this service for FREE! - I went to a different Auto Part store, practically across the street, and the employee did perform the computer read and even spoke with me about options for over 30 minutes!
