I was there today. We bought a rear. We were told a price of $100. After 2 days of taking it out we were told that the person who told me that price doesn’t work the office and was only covering for the day so they aren’t sure why they told me that price. My question to ayleen the girl in the front office when she told me that was “ why was he in the front office telling me the price and taking my money to allow me in the yard” her response and I quote was “because he’s related to people here and I’m not sure why he has a job here but he is giving me a hard time. I’m way more frustrated with him than you are” . I don’t care I just hate wasting my time and you guys did exactly that! Then when we finally went to go load it after ayleen called the “boss” who gave her the “right” price. Then after we bought the part and they were supposed load up for us ayleen told me it would be a while for them to load the part up for me because the only person who was available is “currently not speaking to her” as if this is a middle school? What a waste of our time!! Don’t deal with this place. What a joke.
Very disorganized. The only person that speaks decent English and can communicate well is the girl in the office. Prices are very sporadic and seem to be pulled out of the air.
I went in there to get a part from a truck that was in the "available for parts section" (which is nowhere stated or marked). Before i turned one single bolt, a guy who couldn't speak English stopped me and barely communicated to me I couldn't take parts off the truck. I asked him why and he could not answer me do to his inability to speak english. So I went into the office and asked the girl in the office and she simply told me that although that truck is in the available section, it isn't for parts. She said she doesnt know why it's there. The said truck has been there unmoved for at least four days, by the way. I viewed it in the spot it sat prior in the week.
So I asked if I could get my two dollar entry fee back since I didnt do anything and the truck was misplaced in the yard because of their error. I was told no I couldn't get that back. Which clearly isn't a big deal, being that it's two dollars, but its the principle and courtesy of the fact that they wasted my time and money from their failure to conduct a business in a organized and reasonable manner.
On a seperate topic, as far as pricing goes. I went in there and got a muffler one time. Brand new the muffler was 49.99. When I got to the counter to pay I asked how much. The girl didnt know and had to call her boss to ask. Her boss said 50 dollars. I said "brand new this muffler is 50 dollars, why on earth would I pay the same price for a used one from a junk yard?" I offered them 25 for it and he declined. So I left without it. All this to say, they have no actual pricing guide, there doesnt seem to be a price list. It seems like they just whip up a number.
This junkyard needs alot of work. It can be helpful in a pinch, but it is far from a streamlined effective operation.
Wasn't able to get what I was looking for but the lady at the front desk was nice and she did actually take the time to look through their computer system to check for me.
