It has been a long time since I last used westside, but I felt that I needed to leave this review. I stopped using them after they did an oil change and other service for me, because I want to do my own oil change and discovered that they had used an undersized oil filter which means they didn't bother looking up the correct size filter for my vehicle and just assumed the standard one was correct. Last week my water pump needed replacing, and when I went to remove and replace the expansion tank I discovered that it was being interfered with by the air conditioning dryer. Today I looked into it farther and discovered that they had not properly reinstall the air conditioning dryer when they did that work, with the result that it was actually interfering with the coolant recovery tank. Apparently the mechanic thought it was suitable to just shove stuff back together as best they could, rather than take the time to figure out why things were not actually fitting back together as they were designed. So I wouldn't even recommend them for an oil change, let alone anything more complex. You never know when they're shoddy workmanship will lead to unnecessary repeat business for them.

A breath of fresh air. I called in last minute for an inspection. The service members were respectful, professional, and great. They squeezed me in for an appointment and did an extremely thorough job. The amount of knowledge in that shop is astounding. They didn’t attempt to upsell but just gave me the facts. Prices are good too! I highly highly recommend to anybody in the area. Also, they appear to team up with enterprise for discounts on cars. All in all, great place.

Ronnie is the smartest mechanic I've ever met, and it's the most trustworthy business that I've ever been to in my life bar none. Women take note! Par excellence!!! Thank you Ronnie!!!

Came in for an oil change and an MVA inspection. I called ahead of time and they told me what day of the week and time was best for me since I'd be waiting in the lobby with my kiddo. All went smooth and timely and the staff was friendly.

Ripoffs and may damage your vehicle. Best of wishes throwing money at them. We took our vehicle for repair in March to the tune of $1000. Before the month was out it needed another major repair.

Edit: now having been here a few more times, I should have learned more from the first experience. The owners and management seem to do well with customer service and I enjoyed talking to Riley in the front but at this point it is clear the mechanics are not always careful or paying attention. Beyond them smashing some of the trim on my car that had previously made it almost 30 years without any damage, I have since found an issue where the ac compressor they installed for me was not tightened down and causing the belt to slip. Then a tire i had them install has had a consistent slow leak. And today I went to do an oil change on my suv and found they used a filter that was too small for the car and tightened it to the point i can not get it off even with tools and will now be missing a day of work because of it. Won't be coming back. Original: I'm glad I found a good shop here in Crofton. It took me years at the last place I lived but somehow lucked out here on my first try. On my first time in, they even damaged my car but the quick acknowledgement and huge efforts to make it right impressed me.

This shop is great. We've used them many times. They are honest, quick, and reasonably priced for maintenance and repairs.

Absolutely the most honest automotive shop experience in my 65 years on this earth. I was from out of town from Florida on my way to New York and had an emergency brake issue. I stopped at another place first that I was closest to, but they basically wouldn't give me the time of day to help me. They also said I wouldn't find anyone in town that would help me the same day. I then called Westside that I found on Google. I explained my situation, and the gentleman said bring it in and they would check it out. When I arrived, the gentleman who runs the place and the technician were exceptional. He immediately took my car in to get evaluated. I was in and out in under 45 minutes back on the road. When I got the bill I was presently surprised again. Less than $40. You can't get more honesty than that. So needlessly to say, if you live in the area, take your vehicle there. If they treated an out of towner with the utmost honesty, this is where you should go. Moral of the story, there are still good people out there.

I could not be more grateful for this shop. Not only did they do an outstanding job with my car (replacing an axle) but they did it within several hours, on the same day I inquired, and for a very very fair fee. They really deserve all they praise they get, they rock!

These guys are great. Brought my BMW in. They got it done in one day really easy. Other local repair facilities needed an appointment and would be a couple days. My family has brought their car is here for years and they always do a great job. Would recommend.

After they worked on our van, a wheel cover came off in a 25 mph road. Later a second wheel cover came off on a 35 mph road. We never had this problem before.

We have been customers for over 15 years, and cannot recommend Westside Auto and Ronnie highly enough! They have kept our family cars running well through regular maintenance and a few mishaps. The service has always been prompt and professional. They’ve gone above and beyond many times to help us. Through consistently professional and friendly service, they've won our trust and become like family.

They are the best!!!! After having my vehicle at Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie for about a month. Where everytime my car was in for repair they gave it back to me more broken than before. I took my car to Westside where they repaired my car and did not even charge me! They are both professional and truthful. I am definitely going to continue to have my car serviced at this top of the line establishment.

I was referred to Westside Auto by a friend. Hands down. Great place. Fast if they have the part. They did all things my car needed. Got my car back the same day. Reasonably priced (read as: less than what most places charge). Listened to me and didn't look down on me because I'm a young woman. I'll probably just come here from now on. Highly recommend!!

Love how awesome these guys are. My friend worked here but moved and I still take my car there because all of the mechanics are great! Ronnie is always chipper when answering the phone and always does what he says. I highly recommend this shop.

This shop is EXTREMELY trust worthy. I’ve taken two of my vehicles to the shop several times over the last year and a half. They consistently recommend fixes to my vehicles that involve salvaging the parts that work on my car rather than replacing new parts. For example, if there is an assembly that is broken, they will find a way to use the still working parts of the assembly if it will save the customer money. Most recently we took a vehicle in for a repair that they said they could do for $1500 but also recommendedAnother local shop that had special equipment who could do the repair much cheaper. West side auto is truly customer service oriented and truly cares about honesty and integrity.

My car AC went out and Westside came to the rescue! They were able to identify and correct the issue quickly. The price was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. Great customer service and great work. I will definitely take my car there again in the future if needed.

Have taken my car to this shop twice. Both experiences were great and the owner was honest and knowledgeable. Will recommend work that truly needs to be perform instead of looking for a quick buck. Will continue to use this shop in the future.

I took my car in due to a check engine light coming on. Not only did they fix the problem, they were also very fast and fixed another dangerous problem that a previous mechanic failed to do that I was unaware of. This was my first time going to Westside Auto and I’m very pleased.

I am very happy to have found Westside Auto. This is a family owned business with mechanics and staff who take pride in their work. The diagnostics and repairs they recommend are justified and the prices are fair. The shop is large and well-organized, with advanced equipment. I completely trust Westside to diagnose, repair, and service my car.

I was looking for a good honest mechanic,called this business and the customer service was excellent.They took their time to hear what my problem was and were very helpful.I took my car in and they were very honest.I did not have a problem and they did not try to find one!!!!.I would definitely recommend this business.

My 20+ year old car drives like a new car! They stayed in contact with me and did an excellent job fixing my car. The mechanic (Ritchie) was very professional, fast and did additional clean-up on the engine!! I will be a repeat customer!!

absolutely wonderful auto service I would recommend to anyone in the Crofton area especially, if you're local they are super close! however I would still recommend to anyone in Maryland if you want honest people who will not try to sell you anything you don't need. I was referred by a friend I referred a friend and we all have had positive experiences every time! I had an emergency with my car they took me right away and helped me early in the morning I was in and out in 10 minutes as it turned out just to be my battery... they diagnosed it and fixed it that quickly, and had the battery in stock! They did not even charge me to install it. Unbelievably great service all the way around..5* well earned!

Excellent service. Clean. Trustworthy. Did a great job on my Spring tune up and will go again in future. Highly recommended. Ronnie was the service agent. Friendly, courteous professional business.

Great service. I've never had a problem getting an appointment and they seem to have reasonable pricing. I get better service here than I have with some of these other places around.

Westside auto is amazing! The customer service is exceptional, and the quality of work is definitely above a what you'd see at a typical dealership. I am so glad I gave Westside a try, the staff explains all service to you before doing them will go over cost with you to make sure you understand exactly what is being done to your vehicle. Definitely try them out.
