I personally Started off a little hot headed. Owner took control and fixed the issue within seconds. Fixed my car awesome price's couldn't ask for a better experience. Got my car in and out even with a last min tire change. 10 out of 10 recommend 👌
TL;DR: This guy is in it to take advantage of you. Do not do business with them.
This company towed my car after an unfortunate accident. Then he told me it would $600 to get the car back from the lot. And $50 per day for storage fees. He then followed by saying that if I give him the title then he will call it even. So I gave him the title and started grabbing my personal belongings, couple of which includes my 12" subwoofer, and $900 aftermarket radio interface for the sub and amp. He let me take my subwoofer but told me that I'm not allowed to take my radio interface because "it's his now" and because "I am lucky he let me take my belongings in the first place". Then, I started taking my phone chargers and AUX cables and such, and he told me I'm "not going to start taking wires from the car too".
Enough is enough. I’ve been having the guys here at ramsdells repair work on my cars for the last 8 months. And I will No longer be going back!
Well start with my Jetta. Took it in to get the clutch done zero issues installed great car drove great home. Started looking under it I’m missing a trans/motor bolt. Ok not a big deal. Took the car back in a couple months later to have oil pan oil pickup tube/screan and oil pressure sensor done along with compression test. I get the car back everything’s good no issues. I get it home start going over it notice that not only am I missing another trans/oil pan mount bolt like ok. Also missing the two bolts that hold my intake manifold to the back on the motor. Should probably call it quits here. Yesterday 1/29/25 i take the Jetta in at my scheduled time. So they could take a look and see what subframe bushings they needed to order to do the next job. I was instantly greeted by an additude from the guy working the desk. They had zero clue why I was there and zero organizational skills. The employee who came to get my car hoped in it and managed to grind gears twice so loud I could hear it in the waiting room! When they finally got it into the garage I heard the employee tell the manager or whomever it happened and was told NOT MUCH WE CAN DO ABOUT IF IF THEY DO SAY ANYTHING! They figured out what bushings I needed and brought back the car! The employee never bothered to tell me he grinded a gear. If your employees can’t drive a manual they shouldn’t be in one!
Now my jeep.
Took it in a few months back to have front and rear universals done along with pass rear wheel cylinder. They did the rear Ujoints and the wheel cylinder and charged me 400$ and sent me on my way. Got home started looking around noticed they only did the front Ujoints. So called asked them about it was told they was only told to do one set. Even though paperwork they gave me says both?
While the jeep was there and they replaced the pass rear wheel cylinder they told me drumbs and pads looked great sent me on my way. About a week later coming home on i95 smoke started billowing out of the pass rear drumb brake causing the jeep to wanna lock up the tire and lose control. Thankfully that did not happens. I had the jeep sent back to ramsdells to be gone over and was told both my rear drumbs was low and pass side broke apart causing it to try and lock the wheel up. But they told me the week b4 they had plenty of life and was safe? I had also started to them not drive to drive either of my vehicles after work was done they went as far to drive the jeep 20 miles and clear the trip computer thinking I didn’t have a photo of the current millage.
The lack of care n disregard for my safety and others and the actions of the Employees at ramsdells have made me not want to go back. After 8 months yall have lost a loyal customer! I will never go back!
I take 4 company trucks to Ramsdell. We have a good working relationship, if it can wait I tell them to squeeze in when they can, if I'm in a hurry they will squeeze in faster.
I was in an accident and Ramsdell’s towed my totaled car to the garage. They were professional, calming and encouraging, making sure everything was out of the car that needed to be. They made what could have been a very traumatic experience for an out of stater, as easy as possible.
This business gets it done as quoted or will call you before proceeding. Fair prices for quality work. They're a fun bunch! I have never been disappointed in their work.
They do excellent work, the owners and staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of their craft. They will go out of their way, when they see someone in need.
Iin 10 minutes they had shown up, and pulled my truck out of the ditch and for only a quarter of what other companies where asking. On top of service they where also pretty great people! I think I'll be saving their card in case of next time - The only thing that would be better is 24 hour service ;)
