A wonderful place!! I went a few weeks ago and it was able to very comfortably fit our group of 12 people. It was very clean, very private, it had a million beds (mine was very comfortable), a big dining room table to fit everyone for meals or playing board games, pool table and darts, 2 fridges for our food and drinks, a cute kitchen with lots of supplies, etc., etc. And of course a hot tub and sauna - perfect for staying there in the winter especially. But I want to go back in the summer to get that lake access!!
Such beautiful nature and such a unique space. There’s lots to do from ice fishing, to playing a Pac-Man, darts, or pool. It’s wonderful to unwind in the sauna or hot tub after ice fishing or being outdoors. It was such a memorable weekend and so close to local treasures like farms stands and Ricker hill mainiac hard cider house. Thank you so much for sharing your space with me.
We enjoyed an incredible family reunion week in July at the farm. The venue is beautiful and the improvements to the farm have made it so much more comfortable. Everyone in our party from age 2 to 93 enjoyed the house, grounds, pond and amenities. We immediately booked to have our next reunion there too!
The ownership change that took place last season has completely changed this spot. While they are still just getting started with renovations, this was previously a pretty dumpy place inside and in only a year has taken a big step forward. Owners are great to deal with and I'm looking forward to all the continued progress they are making.
I rented this venue before Jen acquired it and right from the beginning Jen was incredible with navigating the change in ownership. The farm was exactly what I was hoping for: Authentic Maine charm with the perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality. The beach, the outdoor amenities and the magical nature of how the house is structured made for an unforgettable stay. Worth every penny! I can only imagine how beautiful a wedding would be in this hidden paradise deep within an area that breathes life to Maine’s moniker vacation land.
Our daughter had her wedding there and the venue stated the barn seats 160 people we we very crowded with just 125
The floors were terrible we were so afraid some of our guest would trip and fall the bathroom in the house were not good for elderly people as two were upstairs and only one downstairs you had to go through three rooms to get to it the place needs a lot of updates for what they charge you would expect more
The grounds outside were well groomed but the house and barn needs work
It was a great place. The only thing is, the windows were filthy. Lots wasn't clean. For what you pay, the management should at least hire a cleaning company at least 2 time a year
If you or your significant other are military. Do not book this venue. As my husband & I are both dual active duty military, we booked the venue in 2021 for a wedding in Oct 2022. As i had orders to deploy less than 2 months after our wedding, we decided we did not want to spend that year together not planning a wedding. I contacted the venue, and they said if someone booked the venue, I could be refunded for my $1,500.00 deposit. Now over a month after the wedding date, I had been completely ignored by the venue, sent multiple emails and facebook messages . Paul reached out and asked me to email him to email him regarding my issues with the venue. I explained the situation and he was going to mail me a check for my deposit. After looking into it, he discovered the venue was booked, another party had placed another deposit, but also decided to cancel. He explained to me that because it had not been used that weekend, he could no longer refund me. This means he stole $3,000.00 from another party & us. He expressed he was unable to process a refund due to that. Paul expressed that because he had to show other couples the venue, that he paid employees to do. We had scheduled a viewing on the venue in March of 2021, which the venue had to cancel due to another event. The manager tried to reschedule our appointment to view the venue, but the did not have time to before my husband deployed in April of 2021. How am i responsible for paying his employees to show another party the venue, when the venue couldn’t keep their schedules organized & overbooked the same day? I would not recommend using this venue at all.
The setting is beautiful but the barn floor needs work. Dancing during wedding reception felt dangerous and there are numerous trip hazards for elderly throughout the space. Poor lighting outside which felt dangerous for older guests. 120 person max is pushing the safe capacity of this space when using the house tables and chairs but owners advertise up to 150. But the grounds were well maintained if you can look past the bright yellow floating dock in the backdrop of your wedding photos.
It was a nice looking venue. But the barn was very packed and there wasn't much room to move around. Also there was wooden beams that were pretty low and I almost hit my head many times.
Great place, huge field to play ball after a wedding or something. Very big house and barn to have the reception in. Amazing place to explore. Great view of Worthly Pond with a sandy beach and provided beach chairs. Horse shoe is also set up. As well as a hot tub, pool table, roku TV, 5g wifi, and more.
