Brought multiple vehicles I had over the years here. The work they do is generally well done and at a fair price, but be wary of inspections. I brought my 2006 Lexus GX here 2 years ago for an inspection and they claimed I needed new Upper Ball Joints (over $600 in just parts). I called BS and took it to VIP and it passed. After another 2 years and around 30,000 miles of driving it just passed inspection at a Toyota dealer. Never replaced the ball joints. Not a bad place to have work done on your car as long as you know when a mechanic is lying to you.

They were able to get us in and out in an afternoon when we had an emergency. While traveling and 1,000 miles from home, they fit us in to fix a blown brake line. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Can’t be any happier with their service.

One of the best mechanics I've ever gone to and can't recommend enough.Took years to find somewhere that felt so genuine! JP has great service and is flexible. He will proactively send multiple quotes to best fit your needs money/time wise.

Great experience here. JP at the counter is a great guy. They were able to get me in quick and identify work needed quickly. Honest mechanics are hard to find. Dougs garage is where i will take all vehicle work that i can not accomplish myself. God bless and thank you!

I ended up paying 1400 dollars .For a piece of wire to fix the problem in my truck. Beware crooks!!!!Contacted BBB .My truck is not fixed and as far as the wiring in my truck.I had to replace a harness 7 months prior .Now my truck is throwing codes and stalling.Engine light on. Auto start no longer works Maybe that's why the other two pumps didn't work . Total Miss diagnostic. And who is ever happy with a 1400 bill . Really........

I cannot say enough good things about JP and my experience at Doug's garage. The service was prompt, timely and JP ensured that I understood every part of the process. I truly have never had a better experience from any garage before and am THRILLED to have them as my garage going forward! I had been a customer of a local "unnamed" garage for many years but not anymore! Doug's garage is a gem and made me feel like a valued customer!

Honestly I went in around 6 months ago and was in for an inspection sticker. They refused to pass it due to a wobbly ball joint or I don't know some part that was going to cost me an arm and a leg. Went to another garage. And they passed it. Got a call from Doug's stating that they're not going to hold the part against me and that they would pass my vehicle. My father only ever went to Doug's if it wasn't something that he could do it himself and when is son took over the place went to crap

I always go to Doug's garage for any of my maintenance or repair needs. Service is excellent and JP will treat you like family at the front desk. Whether it's simple maintenance or my vehicle needs diagnosis and repair, I have always gotten fast and quality service from Doug's!

they are absolutely amazing with everything they do. everytime i bring my car here they do the best job! saved me hundreds of dollars on my last car repair too and got it done really fast! i highly recommend anyone to go here. incredibly nice staff too!!

I had a flat tire on my 4runner and didn't have a jack. Not only did they lend me a jack but they sent their tire technician with me to change my tire. Definitely five star customer service.

DB is very friendly and respectful. Didn’t get the tech’s name but he was too. Brought my truck in for new tires put on and aligned. I had just installed new tie rods. They looked over my truck and determined that I needed new ball joints, rear pinion seal, brake hoses, and a leaf spring. I’ve decided to do this work on my own as opposed to paying for labor, but I am very grateful that they pointed these issues out to me instead of just aligning it and sending me on my way (cough cough, Ace Tire)… They offered me an eyeball alignment because I didn’t do the best job installing the new tie rods and needed one bad. Charged me only $13 for an hour of their time and gave me a quote for the work they could do. They also gave me a reputable shop to go to for the pinion seal, because they weren’t comfortable doing it. Will definitely go back here for my alignment once I get the work taken care of.

I have no complaints. They are always nice and polite and top quality work for a great price. TJ humors my automotive obsession and is constantly teaching me things. I send people there to get their vehicles fixed.

Great honest garage. Can't be happier with the service! These folks are outstanding... If I could get them a 10 out of 5* I would ... Honestly the jams they have got me out of and service provided is beyond ANY mechanic place I've been too OR heard of ..

We actually something else done on one of our cars. Underneath sealer to protect underneath the car from rust. As well Engine repair on Subaru SUV on spark plugs. If you want good honest and respectful mechanics that knows their vehicles. I was threatened by my own family. To take a used car that was given to my wife a mechanic who didn’t care about the car, just wanted money. He really isn’t a mechanic. Who we trust 2 hours away then a local mechanic. I trust Doug’s Garage from Benton. Today, I’m treating the entire staff sone them Pizza pies. They all should be recommended if their service and dedication of Excellent service to community.

Finding a reliable and honest garage was one of the first things I had to do when our family moved to the area. Been here close 5 years and Doug's still hasn't done us wrong. Super helpful, patient, doesn't look down on you if you're not too savvy with cars.

I brought my truck in to repair a window that would not go up. I feel I was overcharged for labor by at least $100. They fixed the window but the entire experience was shady. I was hoping I had found a reputable mechanic near my house but the search continues.

I have been going to Doug's ever since I had my first vehicle. Doug's Garage is hands down the best place in the Fairfield/Waterville area. They are reliable and will tell you the truth without draining your pocket! Highly recommended!!!!!!

Can I give 100 stars? These folks are amazing. Got my vehicle in as an 'emergency' when opening, went 'over the top' to do all they could to find out what was happening, what caused the issue, and what it would take to resolve. If the part might have made it to the shop quicker, I'm sure I could of had the vehicle back the same day, but when the part arrived later that afternoon, they went right to work on the vehicle. These folks are amazing! I'm so glad I started using their service so many years ago. They certainly take care of their customers very well! Always, never a question.

I've only been to this garage twice now and while it has just been for regular maintenance, I'm sure I would go here for more major work as well. Their pricing is reasonable and I've been able to get my vehicle in within a few days and the waiting area, while not particularly large, is comfortable, well furnished and clean. Additionally, everyone I have dealt with on the phone and in person has been very friendly and helpful. There are several other auto shops between me and this one but, Doug's is miles ahead of what else I have seen since moving to the area and I don't plan on going anywhere else.

This is one of those friendly, locally-owned auto repair shops that you can really trust. High-quality repairs at very reasonable prices, and they always explain their services in easy-to-understand terms. I’ve also GOT to give a shout-out to Chase, who is always the mechanic that works on my car. Since he started just a few years ago, he has been one of the most knowledgeable, professional, personable mechanics I’ve ever had. He knows exactly what he is talking about when it comes to auto repairs, he is always honest about explaining repairs that are urgent versus ones that can wait a little bit, and he even remembers my name every time I call or come in to the shop! Chase delivers truly incredible customer service, and he deserves to be recognized for his interpersonal skills. It is so important to trust your mechanic, and Doug’s does an incredible job at making honest repair recommendations that make me feel like the shop actually cares about the customer rather than just the profit. 10/10 would recommend!

Great place to get work done at. I had 3 alignments with everyone blaming different things on why they couldn't get it straight. Brought it here everyone is so nice and friendly. They got my truck going straight with no issues and no unnecessary work needing to be done. Highly recommended

Great garage! Chase does fantastic work on the alignment rack as well as just about everything else. The two other guys in the shop are seriously top notch as well. Driving 2 1/2 just to go to these guys is well worth the trip!

I wanted to do business with a local garage instead of a big box business so I brought my vehicle in for an estimate on an oil leak. Didn't realize they were going to charge 25.00 just to look at it (took a few minutes at the shop) and then the estimate was 100 dollars more than Midas. 250 dollars versus 350. Guess i am better off to do business with the big companies. Disappointed :(

I brought him a set of four trailer wheels (one rim without a tire and two with worn tires and one with decent tread) and new tires to put on them. I was looking to get it done ASAP. The one tire on the wheels had a decent amount of tread that I was going to save as a spare. When I went to pick up the wheels he complained that he had to replace a couple of valve stems. (Most times when mounting new tires it is a given to replace the valve stems) I wrote him a check for the work and we want to go load the wheels into my truck. We loaded four wheels with new tires mounted on them and there were only two of the old tires there. I asked him were the other one was and he became flustered and started stating excuses like it was too whether checked so he threw it away. When in fact I know that the one tire missing was the only good one. He stole it from me! He probably sold it or had it mounted on his trailer. Why should he not throw the others away with it? He's obviously a shister and I will never be back and I have told many people about his mistreatment of customers. Word of mouth advertising works both as a positive & negative on your business.
