Highly, highly recommend. These guys are fast, friendly, and know exactly what they’re doing. Really affordable, I’m so glad we came here, the peace of mind can’t be beat.
Wonderful experience here! Trustworthy and honest…they could have told me I needed more work done than necessary, but did not. And when I went back a few weeks later to ask about a new noise I was hearing, he immediately took my car back and fixed it on the spot! Thankful.
These guys were a lifesaver for us when we were visiting MDI the week after the 4th of July. Our battery died - 1st in a parking lot in Acadia and then when we got back to our hotel and tried to start it again.
I called Fletchers around 11 that morning after reaching out to AAA and finding out they don't do on-site battery replacements in that area as they do where we live. The woman who answered at Fletchers (one of the owners) said if we could get a jump start they would have an opening around 2. She also made sure they had all of the info on our car to make sure they had the right battery.
As promised, they helped us out that afternoon and had us in and out in under an hour. We had such a wonderful experience and everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. It is great to know that when you are visiting a more remote area there is a local business able to help you out in a pinch.

I can’t say enough good things about Fletcher’s Auto in Southwest Harbor! I walked in with a frustrating issue trying to remove my license plates, and the team jumped into action without hesitation. They fixed the problem on the spot and even got me scheduled for an inspection the same day—talk about efficiency! From my first visit to the day of my inspection, their service was nothing short of amazing. The staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about getting you back on the road. I highly recommend Fletcher’s Auto to anyone in the area, and I’ll definitely be returning for any future car needs. Keep up the fantastic work!
Took my 2014 vw tiguan here when the check engine light came on for an i take manifold and pcv valve replacement, also to do an inspection. Anyway, they kept my car for 2 weeks with no update, finally I call to get an update and they tell me it’s ready. When I get there they say they cant do the intake manifold because you need to remove the injectors which requires a special tool. They also forgot to put the inspection sticker on….whatever. Got in the car, start it up and it idles super rough which it did not do before. Call them, take it back in, they keep it for another week with no updates. I call them on Friday before they close for the weekend and again, they say its ready. They didnt do ANYTHING ALL WEEK to it and still never called me to come get my car, which i need to go to work. All they did was show me what was wrong with it. TURNS OUT, YOU DONT EVEN NEED TO PULL INJECTORS TO REPLACE THE INTAKE MANIFOLD! I HAD TO DO MY OWN RESEARCH ON THE MATTER!

I am a year round local and it is a shame this shop can’t get its act together. I will never be taking another vehicle here and would strongly discourage others from bringing their vehicle here.
Excellent service, responsive and speedy. I hit a deer and needed to replace my front headlight. Called 6 places, but since it's the busy season no one could get me in. Someone recommended Fletcher's and I called and got an appointment for the following week. They ordered the part in advance and I dropped the car off in the morning. Prices were reasonable and the car is fixed! The deer walked off to live another day.
We had a tire going flat in our rental car. Stopped at 4 or 5 gas stations, all with out of order air stations. Stopped here, asked if they had any suggestions, the very nice woman at the front desk had us pull around to the garage, a nice mechanic popped out, topped us up and told us to enjoy the rest of our trip. Only get that kind of treatment from a place that cares about their customers. Thanks!
5 out of 5 - Highly Recommend! Our family was traveling to Acadia over the 4th of July weekend when our car broke down. Fletcher's was the ONLY shop in the area that was willing and able to help us. They were able to give us a loaner car that fit our family needs and have our car repaired early the next morning. Thank you so much for going above and beyond for us!
Excellent service and just kindness in general. Our home dealership had stripped out the oil filter causing an oil leak while on vacation. This repair shop got us in immediately and had everything fixed and taken care of within the hour. Highly recommend. Saved us major mechanical problems and got us right back on our vacation.
Was visiting and realized our last oil change wasn’t a good one. Needed a mechanic and called Fletchers early this morning. Told me to bring the car in this morning. They took care of our problem and treated us so well. The mechanic was great and I’m thankful for their help today. I would recommend them for travelers and locals.

While vacationing on MDI our faithful Subaru gave us some start up troubles and a screen full of warning lights. The very kind and very professional folks at Fletcher’s took us right in, did their thing, and had us on the road again in short order. We could not have been more pleased with the customer service. I am happy to recommend this business.
We had an unfortunate auto incident on a Sunday while visiting Acadia National Park. We called and left a message Sunday night and got a call back first thing Monday morning. The shop got us in at 7 am on Monday and we were on our way be 8 am able to make the long journey home safely. The shop was clean, the price was incredibly fair and the shop dog, Tucker was a friendly companion while we waited. Thanks you Fletcher’s Automotive!
