I cannot give a lower score or I would. Normally I don't post, but for those like me who read the comments. I figured I'd try and give benefit of the doubt. Wrong! I show up behind someone else in line, happy their open im happy to wait outside. With my 4 water bottles all the same. bags not loaded mind you, 15 mins. Go by im outside 95 degrees. Patient. Finally get to go in. I walk in to being screamed at for coming in. No sign stating other but OK. Angrily he asks bout my bags and states he's Going on break for 30 mins, that my bags could stay in but I had to leave. Normally I'd understand it's warm your inside. But the blatant disrespect and the fact your screaming at me? Nah don't bother. It stinks but either catch a business elsewhere or clynk for your return needs. Noone should be treated the way I was today. If my wife would have been treated in such a manner, let's say day would have ended differently. Save your time and bottles forget this guy.
Great if you count your bottles ahead of time, but he will only allow that if you’ve been a few times, never had trouble always left him a tip due to the fast pace. (When I don’t count my bottles)
I get there at 415 and the old guy tells me that he closes in 10 mins and asked how many bags I have. I told him about 8 bags. Even though Google & the sign says 5pm. He was just rude about it. As the lady there gave me my money, I started counting it while I was walking out, I only got $29 which should of been a lot more closer to $40 due to mostly having .15 bottles. As I turned around and said this isn't right, they turned away another customer and shut the door to close. I will never be returning. I will make sure others don't have the horrible experience I had especially as being my first time there.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME especially when you get ripped off.
Stopped to drop off some cans and bottles, I felt like i was putting the old guy out, Id rather drive to bangor with my car full of cans that give this guy one cent Good day
Horrible experience here. I showed up with 3 bags at about 4:30pm. 30 minutes prior to close. The older fella there was incredibly rude. Made it seem like I completely unconvinced him by being there. He threw the bags at me & on the floor saying he doesn't take care of my trash.. Welp.. Then.. He counts out the money he owed me out back.. Brings it to me.. Then slams the tip jar on the counter saying that's where that money goes. That he doesn't get paid after 4pm.. & he had to help me for free. So he should get to keep all the money..I tipped $6 out of my 12.. & left.. Cause I felt I had to.. Will absolutely never go here again. There's a new place in bucksport where they actually appreciate your business. That's important these days.
If i could give a negative star i would. Old gentalman who works their. Is extrememly rude and rips people off. Pree counted my bottles to test him one day. Jiped me 20 dollars. And told me to f myself for tryinh to be helpful and open a bag for him. If you value your time and money. Go someplace else
The Jerome guy there was rude and very unprofessional in my opinion. He must hate his job or something idk. I will never do business there again because of him!
Very rude worker and not clean. Went there at 2:30 in the afternoon the refused my bottles because they didn't have room or time to count them. Will not go to this business again!!!
RUDE! There was a sign on the door that only one customer could enter at a time, due to social distancing. We patiently waited outside while a lady was unloading her truck. Suddenly, the redemption center assistant came out and started shouting at us saying, there is already a customer inside. He didn't even give us a tiny chance to explain that we were waiting for our turn. Just took our bag of bottles and took it inside. What was that about??? Will never go there again .
After a bad experience from another local place, I came here with my returnable. Fantastic customer service, great teamwork and efficiency. I won’t ever be going anywhere else.
