All these negative reviews seems like these are just pistol people who didn't get their way Things didnt Go the way they wanted! I'm betting to guess if everybody I had a positive experience with this business flesh out negative but Hey, I don't go to subways page and post review good or bad every time I sandwich. Lol Unless I was super super super super super. Happy to those who are normally the only ones take get posted Honestly t My experience with them was pleasant they were nice Honest welcoming sentence the situation Overall , it wasn't a terrible experience even though I had a blown transmission And had to be towed 75 miles I was not over charged with anything. They covered me a way to your deal. Better one than I would have gotten from couple of the other places I called. B and b and yaz towing where the most unpleasant to speak to very rude Inconsiderate overpriced.
And I would say in all honesty as busy as this company is, they were very prompt Impressed and the price never change upon arrival unlike the tow company on riverside (Right next to burger king and rt i95 off riverside That place Strongarms customers because they know that they are desperate weak and in need)
I try not to leave bad reviews, but I think others need to be warned about this company. My car was towed from my home in Portland because I was parked on the street overnight and I wasn't aware of the street sweeper schedule. I understand that was a fault on my end but I just moved in a few days earlier and only have street parking, and honestly didn't think to pay attention to the street sweeping schedule. I also had no outstanding parking tickets, so my car should not have been booted or towed. This was at a time when the city began cracking down on street parking after things relaxed a bit during the pandemic. Needless to say it was a shock to walk outside the following morning to find that my car was missing. I went to Westbrook to pick up my car only to find it severely damaged. I tried driving out of the lot and found my alignment was so far off that I had to turn my steering wheel about 90-degrees to the left to get my car to drive in a straight line. My traction control and Vehicle Stability Control lights were also flashing (they normally only come on if my car slides a little in snow). I called the tow company and asked to speak with the owner. The dispatcher, Tony, told me everyone was asleep (this was around 2 PM on a Tuesday). I insisted I wanted to speak with someone and he said someone would be out in about a half hour. The man that showed up was very rude and yelled at me. He said I had no way of proving that my car was damaged when towed. He argued with me for a few minutes while lighting a cigarette in my face and when I asked for the contact information for the owner he said he couldn't provide that to me. He then went behind his truck to call someone and when he returned he said "She says you can take her to court if you want to." I had my car brought to Paulin's in Portland and they put it on the lift and found that the tow truck driver tied chains around my tie rods instead of my tow bars. They told me the driver must have pulled the car from the tie rods, thereby bending and destroying them. Luckily it was able to be repaired, but only after costing me more than $1,000. I did file a police report on this company with the City of Portland and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. No company should be able to get away with causing damage to personal property, then deny it and not be held responsible.
I had a piece of parking lot pavement collapse under my front tires and called the first place that popped up on Google. I just needed to be yanked backwards a bit. Kris said he could be there in about 20, was there in 15. He chuckled at my situation and successfully dragged me up to solid ground. I was grateful for the warning of potential damage, possibly could lose the bumper, but he went nice and slow and there was no damage. Wicked nice guy and highly recommended!

Total waste of time and money! Kept saying soon for hours and hours and never showed up for a $500, 15 mile tow. Competitor did it for half that, same vehicle/destination.
If you feel like getting ripped off, call these guys! Tried too keep my dump trailer so he could sell it and said it was ruined! It works perfectly. Charge us $3400 because I wanted to pick my trailer up and tried to keep it longer so he could make more money. This company knows how too scam . Random fees and they said they cleaned up the debris from accident and my wife and I just had to clean for hours. I wish I could post pictures This man needs god. Oh and now they are trying to charge my insurance for the truck now. THESE GUYS ARE THE DEFINITION OF A DIRTBAG!

Sean was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. My steering column was locked, and rather than tow the car which may have damaged it because it couldn't be put in neutral, he solved my problem by recommending I have a key service come over. So instead of towing the car to the garage on a weekend and waiting for the repair to be done on the following Monday, Sean arranged for the key repair service. They came right to my door and resolved the issue. I'm thankful to Sean for his experience and advice and hope he's there next time I call for a tow!
Today my tire blew along the highway, I had no idea what to do, before I knew a K &R tow truck came up behind me, the very Kind man changed my tire for me and made sure I safely got off the highway, I could not thank him enough, I did not get his name, But really and truly thank you, that was very scary to me and my daughter to be sitting on the side of the highway
Shady af. Cash only probably because these sketchy dudes are laundering. Told me the price I got cash from an atm, waited for 30 mins for a driver to show up then the driver asked for $30 more for a "gate opening fee". Whoever I spoke to on the phone sounded either half asleep or drunk. Never should have let the car get towed for the snow ban, but these guys are thieves.
The owner screwed me on a tow charge me $230 for a toe that should have been $130 win against the towing regulations for the city of Portland to do it stay away from them
I work at an auto service shop and recently had the pleasure of meeting Brandyn from K&R Towing when he assisted a customer in getting their vehicle to us. Not only was he very friendly and professional, but honest too. It turns out our customer had handed Brandyn cash to pay for the service then quickly left. He realized after that they had overpaid and when he brought he vehicle in to our shop asked if we could get their change back to them. Brandyn didn’t know that this customer was a family member of one of its techs. The whole shop was thoroughly impressed with Brandyn that day. For this reason, I would recommend K&R to anyone needing a towing company.
I don't knownwhere to start. Shawn is the kindest guy. My vehicle broke down at the airport he came quickly to the rescue but i got a ticket for my vehicle sitting in place to long but what did shawn do? He got me out of a ticket. He is so feiendly and kind 5☆☆☆☆☆
I have never wrote a review before but I felt it necessary to give the public a warning. Avoid these guys at all at all cost. All I needed was a easy tow less than half a mile up the road. K & R sent three people to do this. Said they knew exactly where I was talking about which makes sense because you can almost see it from the spot I broke down. I went there to wait for them and they never came. After playing phone tag for almost a couple hours I found out they towed my car miles away to the wrong place. Man on the phone was ignorant and rude and didn't even give me his name then proceeded to tell me that it's my fault and I would have to call AAA or a different tow company if I wanted my car back. This place should be shut down for real. AAA said that they were confused on how they could mess up that bad and that it could not have been my fault because not only do I speak very clearly but I gave them a the address with a description and the distance of where it was going. We are at the next day now and I still don't have my car and now a AAA truck is there saying they don't know what K & R did with my keys so its just there unlocked with all of the windows down. Now I am being told that it might not be able to be done today. You would think a towing company would have the towing part of there business locked down but they don't. Also AAA told me that these guys don't do a good job so I have no idea why they are in business with them. Bad customer service, bad at towing, bad vibes, bad people. I am genuinely nervous that they will see this while the have access to my car because they seem like that kind of people that will mess with it just for calling them out but word needs to get out now that this is probably the worst tow company around. 0 out of 10 I wish you luck if your car ends up in their hands!
DO NOT trust K & R for anything! They overlook towing at a resident apartment lot in downtown Portland. I drove a resident home to their apartment and parked in the resident and select business parking area (businesses were closed) because they did not have access to a car. In the five minutes it took me to walk the resident to their apartment, they were already towing my car when I got back. They were clearly waiting for people to do this.
For being a good Samaritan and safely getting someone home, they threatened to take my car away, make me get a taxi to where it was being taken, and pay $130 unless I paid them on $100 cash on the spot. These are scummy people and complete scam artists. DO NOT do business with them.
This place will scam you and make you sign receipts saying they picked up your car at incorrect addresses cause they tow for a parking lot next to the street your parked on.... scumbags
