On September 27, 2025, we sold some iron, copper, etc at the site in Port Allen. We were told a check would be mailed for the copper and received a ticket for the remaining scrap. When following up on the check, Carrie stated a check was never mailed because we received two tickets for the sale which was incorrect. When asked to speak with a supervisor she had Andre to call only for him to relay the same message. We were told to come in and we would be able to view whatever footage was available only for the GM to state, upon arrival, we waited too long to inquire about the check. Given today’s mail system it is not uncommon for the mail to be delayed. Truthfully, it’s not about the money at this point. I believe two tickets were printed on that date but only one was presented to us and possibly an insider cashed the other one. At this point we don’t want the money but would love to speak with someone other than Carrie, Andre and the GM my husband spoke with today. With service like this, business will decrease sooner rather than later.
Mrs carrle B went out of her way multiple times to make sure I was informed that I would get my money when we had a problem with the mail system. she looks out for her customers always!

In the Receiving Yard you have Mr. Andre Sr. and his staff ready to assist you as soon as you drive in. Mr. Andre is a gentleman, very knowledgeable about the entire scrap metal recycling process, and has integrity in his role. He is keenly aware of the strain junk metal pose to property owners and makes the entire process uncomplicated and swift. If you do not understand what types of metals are accepted or how to prep your metals to be received, he will spend the time with you. He is direct, but he expects the best regulation approved metals because he and his crew in the back are going to give you the Best Service and the Best Prices for your hassle because they value the commitment of customers. The loading dock is never dirty, and guys, you should see how he keeps that warehouse. He runs a tight ship.
I absolutely love working with Ms. Carrie at the Service Window. I don't think there has ever been a time that I've walked up, and she hasn't made me smile. That is her first priority. Making people feel appreciated and welcome. Just the genuine love and appreciation radiating from her station is the best thing ever. And get this, that's before she hands you the pay-out ticket, which will give you many more reasons to smile.

Very helpful and always quick and easy to get in and out And get tickets scanned plus also A1 on handing out checks Carrie behind the window is very friendly and the guys are quick to unload and weigh and separate scrap at the front and the guys in the back are very helpful in letting you know where you need to go to unload unloading the trailer. It's very fast and efficient
Everyone is super nice always smiles the guy that checks your load in the back couldn't get any better the girl and the guy who do non ferrous top of the line always make me feel welcome and ready to come back and miss Carrie at the window 5 stars everytime the sweetest lady! I wouldn't go anywhere else to sell my scrap.

Louisiana Scrap metal is amazing, never in my life have I seen a scrap yard so clean,the yard supervisor was friendly and helpful.I would recommend that anyone that sells scrap to go check them out , Great Atmosphere........
I have been coming here for about 3 1/2 years and Ms.Carrie B is the best at what she does…great energy. Great customer service. Always nice and treats everyone with respect. Always ask how me and my family or doing.
The "Hours of operation" needs to be revised. I drove 25 min through interstate construction traffic on a Saturday to get there at 11:54am and be turned away. They are not open until 12, the employees leave at 12. Other than that, it's the best scrapyard I've been to. I just hope this isn't the start of cutting corners.
This company is not just fast. They are professional and give customers real up-to-date prices. A great place to go sell your scrap and get delicious homemade hot dogs on Friday.
Great place to make a few extra bucks on old scrap. They have a really impressive operation. It’s mind boggling how they could scrap an entire barge boat. Nice work folks!
Fair and fast. Very, very, quick!!! They don't cut your money like most other places;..very quick.. A lot cleaner than other spots, I don't find nails in my tires when leaving.
