Hands down the smoothest operation around. From entry to exit, great customer service. Apparently they have 2 Ambers that work at this location and EMR should be thankful for these ladys bcs they are very professional and make the experience very pleasant. EMR is the clear choice .
Absolutely horrible experience. Called ahead to see where to go with a encapsulated transformer. Person on the phone said the warehouse so I go to the warehouse. The workers say it goes to the back. Does anybody even know what they are doing and what even goes where??? Like I wasted a whole hour waiting in line to find out that the workers don't want to handle a 300 pound transformer so it goes to another incorrect area. Never coming back and closing my trade account
I have been using EMR for a couple months now for my scrap recycling and they have treated me well. On my last visit I went in early and I was like the only one in the yard at that time. They employees showed me where they wanted me to unload my truck at and even helped me do so. The man who helped me with my scrap also offered me a bottle of cold water. Witch I thought was very nice of him to do. I also like the lady who answers the phone. She has such a calming voice and the ladies who check you out and pay you are very friendly and helpful.
Great place to do business. They are fair trustworthy. Its a pleasure doing buisness with emr houma. I had a small problem and they made it right and we both felt like we were right. They could have told me to kick rocks but instead they educated me better on the grades of scrap and showed me how to make a better living my son takes cans to them a fue times a year and they treat him like a little man I appreciate them and highly recommend them.
Poor poor service. Went there for the first time and on one tells you what you are supposed to do, where to go and to top it off I had to unload my truck myself. These employees are useless. Do yourself a favor a go a little farther to Kenner.
Always the best prices around everyone is helpful and quick to help with whatever you need. Always in and out and each employee helps make sure your getting the best price for whatever you have wish they were open half a day Saturday I don't like having to use any other recycling center. Frank inside the building with the non-ferrous metals is awesome he always makes sure everything is sorted so I get top dollar if I missed something! The ladies inside make sure they get you on and off the scale quickly even during the pandemic noone has missed a beat with the precautions they put in place. Gary is also always fair and noone shys lending a hand to unload and they keep the yard clean. Only place I'd suggest going.

This was my first time at Emr I find it’s a great place to recycle they have have everything marked where you have to bring what you have and the people are so nice to you I’m sure I’ll go back to them .
