So I followed a friend to Louisiana Scrap Metal. I wasn't going in so I parked outside the facility and proceeded to wait. About thirty mins passes and I realized something I had forgotten about and it's funny how it held true even after almost two years time. It was the first time my friend had gone here and the last time I came it was also my first time. So back when. I came I drove my car on the scale they proceeded away my car and wave me through after that happened I thought I would have been met by someone but no one ever came and a half an hour pass by before I could find somebody not on heavy machinery to speak to find out where I go and what I do. All they would need is a little more signage or instructions and that place would be top notch five stars. I guess they expected everyone to know where to go go to this day including my friend who got lost back there before 45 minutes and I know what to do and still after being weighed out still being confused as to where to go, where to park. Throw us a clue here and there we pick up quick. But left to my own devices I'm going to go the shortest and probably the wrongest route half the time.

So this place was pretty awesome. Rates were okay, but it's far more of an experience to see all the equipment running In the background. I liked the experience, I'm never impressed with the price of scrapping metal, but it's good to at least keep it out of a landfill.

I called this morning to find out how much they would give me for 4 steel rims at 20 pounds apiece and was told $.35/pound. Dropped off the rims and got my ticket for the refund and it was only $7.60, not the $28, I was expecting. She said sorry I gave you our aluminum price. I didn't cause a commotion, because there was a line behind me, but I wont be doing business there again.

They are going to rob you. Just called for price of 304 SS and was told .20 a lbs. called EMR which is 1/2 mile closer and was told .32 a lbs. they don’t use market prices, they set their own lowball price and Jew you.

This place is a joke. They lie on the paper when they weigh in on refer .90 cents a pound i watch the weight it said 43 pounds they only put 11 pounds on paper all our aluminum was clean and they put on paper we had dirty aluminum witch was not true!!!! So upset right now!!! Sorry but i will not give a good review when they clearly rip people off!!!! I dont know how to reply but we didnt relize it till we left we looked on the payment paper and seen the pounds and it was incorrect i watched to scale when they put the refer it clearly said 43 pounds and on my paper it says 11 pounds i just feel that ita wrong we brought alot there all our aluminum was clean none of it was dirty im sorry that i left a bad reveiw but i feel we got riped off badly we do have to go money and pick up the 15 doller check for out refer i will talk to yall then.

I had a great experience here had good workers help me out and unloaded me and I was in and out in about 10 are 15 minutes with cash in hand I would recommend this place to others.

Best place in lake Charles to bring scrap metal, friendly staff, Quick service and operators know what they are doing. Payout is up and down like the market always is, so just depends.
