A hidden gem right here in Richmond, KY. The best music, award winning wine, great place for friends to hang out and the food is always excellent -- as beautiful as wine country NAPA but better. Looking forward to the spring menu!
Chenault Vineyards was absolutely incredible, and we truly couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere else. From the moment we started planning to the day of our wedding, the staff went above and beyond for us to bring our vision to life. Everyone genuinely cared about making our day perfect, and it showed in every detail. We especially could not have done this without Sarah, our wedding coordinator through Chenault Vineyards. She was by our side every step of the way throughout the stresses of wedding planning this past year. Her guidance, professionalism, and attention to detail are impeccable, and Chenault Vineyards is so lucky to have her!! She made the entire process feel manageable and allowed us to truly enjoy our day while she handled all the details in the background without us having to worry. It was sort of difficult to find a venue that could accommodate an indoor ceremony since we got married in December, but Chenault Vineyards made it seamless by beautifully splitting the large reception hall so we could have both our ceremony and reception in the same space. We also loved having access to different areas of the vineyard for photos which gave us such a variety of landscapes and made our photos even more special.
We are endlessly grateful for the entire Chenault Vineyards team and would recommend this venue to any couple looking for a truly unforgettable wedding experience!
Attended the Murder Mystery tonight, and it was a great time! I love coming here for a nice dinner, but tonight was over the top! Also, I cannot say enough about our server, Ariel. She made the night even better as did the rest of the staff.
This is our first visit to Chenault Vineyards and we were absolutely blown away with the quality of our experience. My wife and I felt like royalty during our visit. We came in, and were greeted by Cierra at the bar. We signed up for a 2:00pm tour with the winemakers. We excepted to go on the tour with a larger group since there were several people in the welcome center, but we paid for our tour ($10 each which included a tasting flight at the end) and ended up getting an exclusive private tour of the property and overview of the entire wine making process by Isaac and Meggy who were so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about making wine. We could tell that every employee that we spoke with loved their job and were treated well by the Chenault family. After our tour we had our tasting and Isaac came back around to ask us what we thought of the wines which were all great. Honestly, we’ve been to multiple wineries for tours and tastings and this has been by far the best experience we’ve ever had. We will 100% be back and I highly recommend anyone reading this to came in for a tasting and tour and check out the food (we didn’t during our visit but I’m sure it’s great like everything else).
I went the other evening to get out of the house and had been wanting to try the pizza, so I ordered a pepperoni at first and when the girl stated they are LARGE pepperoni so they take up quite a bit of room. I thanked her for telling me that. I don't understand why restaurants use Salami sized pepperoni. YUCK! Anyway, so I ordered the cheese. I was disappointed from the delivery. The crust seemed to appear and taste like a "frozen" crust and there was so much stinking cheese on it I could only eat 1.5 pieces because I about choked on the cheese getting hung in my throat! I ended up literally having to spit out a bite because I could not break it down in my mouth. I was expecting a nice Artisan crust with a signature sauce....NOPE! As you see, burnt crust AND cheese. I have gotten WAYYYYY better pizza at pizza places in town, ie. Gillum's Sports Bar, and now the new Gillum's Island. In my opinion best pizza in town.
I will go back because I want to try some other options, with caution of course LOL! I can't review the wine because I am currently on some strong antiobiotics, one of which will cause severe illness if drinking on it.
Beautiful venue and great outdoor seating with several big heaters and fire pit tables.
First time stopping here with a few friends, and we were VERY pleased!!! The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, the wine was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect!!! Definitely going to be coming back again!!
We went there to enjoy a glass of wine and we got wine served in little plastic cups. It was reminiscent of taking communion -not a good experience. Get rid of the plastic- put them in a glass. You’re a winery. We were told this is customary after 4 PM. It should never be a practice to put your wine in plastic little cups. They were smaller than Dixie cups.
We had our wedding at Chenault. Beautiful venue for the wedding and reception. Sarah, the wedding coordinator was fantastic! I am an extremely organized, take charge type of person and she was a rockstar. She is high energy, organized, fun, professional- all wrapped up in one. The food and
decorations that we picked out from them were both on point. No complaints at all.
my favorite place to hang out at since moving to richmond. such a great atmosphere and friendly staff. the wine is top notch and i haven’t eaten anything i haven’t liked here yet!
My husband and I got married at Chenault Vineyards in May 2025, and it truly was everything we hoped for. Living in Lexington, it was important to us to find a beautiful venue close to home that was also easily accessible for our many out-of-town guests. Chenault checked every box—and then some!
What really sold us was that Chenault offers more than just a gorgeous setting. The catering was absolutely incredible, and having the option to work with their in-house wedding planners sealed the deal. Sarah and Stacie, our planners, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. They were accommodating to all our needs, brought my Pinterest board to life, and handled a few small wedding-day hiccups with absolute professionalism.
They also recommended trusted vendors who had worked with Chenault before, which made the planning process so much smoother and took so much stress off our plates. Everything came together beautifully—we still can’t get over how stunning it all looked!
Chenault Vineyards is truly a dream wedding venue in Central Kentucky!! You won’t be disappointed booking here.

This place is a hidden gem in Richmond. Even the drive to get there is beautiful and not far from 75. The wine is really good & they have flatbread made-to-order pizzas which are awesome. They even offer cauliflower crust for the pizza that is actually good!! The staff here is amazing as well. We’ve never ever had a complaint about them. The manager Tony is so attentive to his customers. We are always happy to go to Chenault and you can’t beat the views either! The photos are only of the outside seating area. There’s lot of inside seating too. They’re huge supporters of live music and have lots of great events. It’s decorated gorgeous around Christmas time too.
Love the events that are hosted here. I joined the wine club because of the wonderful dinner with wine pairing that they host at the end of the year. While attending that had a wonderful time, 5 star food and was able to try wines that I normally wouldn’t. My husband and I just recently attended the murder mystery dinner and was once again blown away by the food, drinks and atmosphere. I have enjoyed these so much we have enthusiastically signed up for the bourbon tasting with dinner coming up at the end of May. The food alone is worth the cost of the tickets not counting the amazing drinks. This place is a rising star for not only Richmond but surrounding counties. Aundria has made the wine club one of the most fun and eventful activities that I have gotten to participate in for many years.
Fantastic spot, and not very hard to get to. Super close to Richmond, or a bit off the interstate if you’re coming from rather away. Perfect spot for large groups, and can host weddings/reunions/etc. So pretty during the summer and fall. Stopped by recently with a small group and the server/bartender was super nice and charismatic. Drinks and food were great!
I got married at Chenault Vineyards this past November and it was even better than I could’ve dreamed! From the very first meeting with my coordinators, I could tell they were dedicated to making the experience perfect for me! I felt so at ease knowing I was in good hands with Stacie, Sarah, & Eve! They truly helped my vision come to life and I couldn’t imagine having a more beautiful venue. My coordinators went above a beyond! From helping me with recommendations, walking me through all options, to taking care of all the details on the big day, the made sure everything was perfect. Having a venue, coordinators, catering, decor, and bar service all in one… wow! It took a huge weight off my shoulders when it came to planning and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. Chenault Vineyards is genuinely the best when it comes to weddings!
Amazing venue! Love the staff and food was amazing, we have had our company Christmas party tent for the past 3 years and we have been impressed each time.
Beautiful atmosphere! Only thing is I don’t understand why they have sports on the outside tv, as a European I enjoy quiet with such a view, but maybe it’s an American thing.

This is such a hidden gem in our local community. Absolutely beautiful and great wine. They have charcuterie boards, sandwiches and pizza now to snack on while you sip. They have events and I recently attended the sourdough making course! So much fun and stayed for sips and pizza. They have a great space outdoors for nice weather or you can stay inside if you like.
Our Berea College Alumni and Philanthropy team experienced a perfect holiday gathering today due to Stacie, Eve, Andrea and all the professional and polished staff at Chenault. Our plated lunches were delicious—thanks chef and kitchen team. It was all served at the right temperature from salad to dessert and was so flavorful. The decor is beautiful there—all decked out for the holidays with several Christmas trees, candles and fireplaces. The table settings were beautiful with Christmas tree folded napkins, lovely gold chargers and fresh flowers. There is a lot to love about Chenault Vineyards. I highly recommend if you are on the fence—try it.
The love this place!! Beautiful scenery and amazing wine!! One of my favorite wineries!! I believe Andy was the bartender tonight. She was great and made the best watermelon martini!!
A hidden gem! We were searching for a winery in the area while visiting and we were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon Chenault Vineyards. The atmosphere, service, and of course wine, made Friday afternoon that much sweeter. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!
I had the best day at Chenault! Andrea helped me decide on a wine flight and a delicious charcuterie board to snack on. The views from the patio are breathtaking and each wine I chose was delicious! I cannot wait to be back with some friends and enjoy the experience again. Thank you, Andrea, for helping to create such a relaxing and special day!
First time visiting and WAY more than impressed. The bartender, Andrea, was wonderful and the wine was AMAZING. There’s truly something for everyone here. There’s a wide variety to choose from, and Sam’s Fix It Juice is delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and the cupcakes are amazing! Definitely try this if you’re in the area!
Such a beautiful place. We went in with a hour until close and did a wine tasting. The staff was so nice and accommodating. We spent that hour in a corner and ended up buying a few bottles on the way out. Can't wait to go back and spend longer! 100% you should go & visit. Very affordable also!
Do not sleep on the grilled cheese/tomato soup combo. Chefs kiss...(amazing). Well seasoned, chunky bits of tomatoes, crispy bread, perfect cheese combination... I could go on and on. I went in midday on a Friday and the service was still impeccable. The flights will help you pick out your favorites. Diamonds are a girl's best friend. Also finish your day with the wine infused cupcake. You deserve it.
I photographed Scott + Haley's wedding ceremony here in 2022. I highly recommend it. You can't beat the beautiful views and atmosphere of this winery on a hill. You have several options for ceremony and receptions and this venue was made for photographer. Don't forget to take photos in the vines for a fun and romantic background.
we had an absolute great time! the winery is beautiful! anyone looking for a place to host an event that has a barn or Vinyard this would be the place to have it! and... if you are just looking for a place to hang out with a group of friends, drink wine or spirits, have a charcuterie board and just relax. thank you Alex for the tour!
