I was very upset was told they could reprogram my transmission there.They could only do a scan wasn’t told they didn’t have the equipment to do it and my husband had it towed there and told them to call us before they did anything to the car.They didn’t call to ask to have it towed to a dealership to get it reprogrammed so they charged me a tow bill for 80.00 and 80.00 for there scanning if they did that .i have triple A towing which would have and wouldn’t have had to pay the 80.00 for towing .If we had been told they couldn’t program it in the first place place we would have bypassed them completely and had it preprogrammed at the dealership ourselves.They were very rude to me When we went to get car they blocked in in and they told my husband I had aggravated then the past two days about my car.So they will never get business from us again from any of my friends.My total bill was 365.00.and had to leave work to get my daughter at school To take her to the ER and the transmission started acting up again so call them and he was very rude and state he wouldn’t fix it so told him that fine .So being car is being towed home again .And recommend not using them
Worst service I've ever experienced took it in to get my transmission rebuilt ended up having to get another transmission that wasn't even for my car then they took My flywheel and replace it with a 6 bolt and drilled the other two holes in it. Had my car for 4 months for nothing. I ended up having to buy a new transmission and put it on myself with no problems. This place is a joke and just take your money and time.
They done good on the transmission but They was a scratch on the front bumper that wasn't there when I dropped it off I asked them about it but that was as for as it went nothing got done about it
If there was an option for negative stars then I would pick those instead, paid $2100 and without a vehicle for 4 months, give or take. The car returned back to me with many more problems than what I dropped it off as; broken exhaust, broken key, car left with windows rolled down and was trashed with pollen and leaves, etc. Do yourself a HUGE FAVOR and take it to Steve woods in girdler, midway transmission shop or Gregory’s transmission! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BUSINESS. They have been in the business of ripping people off for years and it shows.

After further review I got under the car and took my transmission out myself and found many things to be poorly done compared to other transmission shops. Was leaking oil and a copious amount of a sealant I’ve never seen used on a transmission before working in the automotive and diesel field. Unprofessional and ridiculous. With the transmission apart it has been beat on and anything but fixed. They tightened a set of bolts down way too hard and broke a part of the housing off… highly disappointed
Will never be back to this place.
A total waste of time and money. Had to go back three times. Finally ended up going to the dealership to get it fixed.
This is a awful place took my car to get transmission work done i had to take the car back 3 times and it still wasnt fixed not to mention car was there couple months i would not advuse any one to go there for work
He was supposed to look at my car and give me a quote before he did anything. He did not. I was charge $2,197.00 for a repair job that did not happen. To beat it all, my brakes hade to be fixed by the Ford Dealership right after I left Reeds. I went in with brakes and came out without brakes. I lost my job because he shop kept my car after I returned it for the same transmission problem. They had my car a good three months and still again did not solve the transmission. problem. I am still out a car because they never fixed it. Now Reeds wants me to pay for it to be repaired again if I bring it back to them. I would never recommend anyone go to Reed's Transmission. They are not honest. I have to go to an honest mechanic to get my car repaired.
It was ok I believe the price was just a little bit high. All they had to do is switch a B solenoid on a 1999 s10 transmission in which I had already bought all the parts. Transmission fluid gasket and solenoid. All they needed to do is switch ok. For 15 to 20 minute job the price was a little high. Besides that they did a good job...
Merle is great to work with and has the knowledge needed for transmission work. He rebuilt my transmission and the price was right. The transmission shifts smoother than when I first bought the car. Reed's was recommended to me by other mechanics and I also highly recommend Reed's.
Reed's transmission is a joke I paid them in full for a transmission swap and to put all new seals and filter and gasket in my 2003 Ford f150 four wheel drive and when I got it back it was pouring fluid so I called them and said my truck is leaking fluid they said it must of been a bad seal but I personally brought all new seals and gaskets they said that I would have to pay them for the labor if I brought it back there a joke so I would not advise any one to take them any thing.
They will not take advantage of you. Twice I took cars to them where they could have taken advantage of me. Once I towed my car from Chattanooga TN where the shop said the transmission needed to be rebuilt. They just reset the computer and had me back on the road for $35. When I finally really needed a transmission rebuild, they did a great job at a fair price. They were also very friendly.
They take advantage of their customers. We had to get a transmission and they only would give us a six month warranty. Not even a year old and have to put a new one in. They are liars and thief’s. I recommend no one go to this place. They are also very rude and the quality of service is way low
Rip Off. I will never ask them to work on another vehicle of mine. Had to bring my car back for transmission work and pay another $900+ when the job should have been done right the first time.
Merrill was a great help when our Mazda had transmission problems on the way down to Florida for Spring Break. He did just enough repairs to allow us to get home, there wasn't enough time to replace the transmission. I appreciate the friendly service.
Well I called to find out how much it would cost to get a transmission taken out and another one put back in. The guy that I talked to told me it would be 350 plus tax to do so and that includes taking it out putting one back in and in Flushing lines and filling it. So when I get the call that the vehicles done I asked how much it was going to be to pick it up. Their response was $471 which was about $100 more than what I expected when I asked why they said cause of the flush and fluid which I was told was included in the price when they was trying to get my business! So I end up going and paying their $471 and got my truck. When I got the the salvage yard to get the core back on the transmission the worker and I was pulling a transmission out the back and noticed that not only did he break my driveshaft off and just throw it in the back of my truck and didn't say anything to me about it they also broke my storage compartment door by just throwing my trans in there. Also there was a thick metal ground wire hanging from my exhaust that was there before. When I called them about it they told me to bring it up there and I'll take a look at it. Once I got out there the guy instantly started denying everything even the ground wire cause it feel the rest of the way off before I got there. I wasn't gonna argue with him I just told him that I will make sure everyone knows my experience. I told him that I knew better than to bring it to his shop because I've heard nothing but bad things about it but I didn't really have no other choice it was the closest place and he said well why did you do that I said I don't know I guess I'm stupid and he said yeah I guess you are stupid and walk away from me!
My Chevy Traverse was acting terrible and after bad experiences with past vehicles at other transmission shops I was very nervous about it all. I decided to try Reed's as I had never heard anything negative about them and they met all of my expectations. They answered all of my questions and fixed my vehicle right up. You can't even tell it ever had an issue and drives like a new one! They took very good care of me and I'm very grateful! Thanks Reed's!
They were very friendly. My car is running great now. I broke down while traveling to visit family. They took care of my car while I got a rental and went on my way.
One thing I wasn't prepared for was sticker shock. Transmission work is expensive.
