Called a week and half ago asking if they had the parts I needed was told yes. However they were backed up due to the snow storm, which is understandable. Left my phone number and asked them to call me when they had my parts available. I didn't receive a call after a week so yesterday I called was told to come up there and they would get them. I informed them that I would be able to come today. I called today to let them know I was on my way to them, I arrived a short time after speaking with them today and when I arrived the guy was sent out to get my parts and I got told they already crushed the vehicle. This is not the first time I have had issues with them either and when I expressed that I drove all the way there I was told sorry. When I stated that this wasn't the first time I have had problems with them I was told then go somewhere else. I can't believe a business doesn't want repeat customers but they diffently lost my business and I am going to make sure that I tell everyone how bad they treat customers.
Friendly service, and you deal with the owners.i have been to most of the local junkyards and several of them arent very friendly and a couple downright rude. These guys are very knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely the best prices I have found anywhere by a significant amount. For example I found doors for a Dodge in perfect condition for half of the next cheapest price of any place I called or any I found online.
Without a doubt the most helpful people when it comes to finding used parts in great condition. Huge variety of parts as well I had a special issue with a Chevy intake manifold and we we're able to find exactly what I needed. Helpful tip learn from my mistake and always take pictures or bring the old part with you.
I'm surprised that they have a web page. For the car owner who isn't well versed on mechanical needs, will attempt to save $, do it themselves but have to trust those who are, I will never trust this business again. Bought a transmission for a vehicle, I am going by the web for my info, ask the guy if he knew if the truck I had would fit that one or any knowledge at all? Told me he dont have no idea, very irritably he said naw sure dont. I was made aware by tremendous people who did help us that is his estimation if you've been doing that line of work for sometime it would have been easily known that inwas buyin the wrong one. The cost of drive time, being 2 hrs away, to the shop, go get it, to take it back to get a refund was not cool knowing he could have helped someone.
This is the first time that I went to a salvage yard were they had the exact part I was looking for. Actually they had several of them but refused to sell it to me. They were nice enough about it. He just didn't want to sell the part. Donnie wanted to keep everything together and didn't want to take the part off. So I guess I had to buy the whole engine for the one piece. I definitely will not go back.
This is just a great place to be. I always leave satisfied with a smile on my face!! The owners, Donnie and Marvin Harold, are two of the best people I know. There small town customer service is second to none!
Can't beat the prices and parts. The owners (Donnie and Marvin Harold) are there to greet you and help get what you need, when you need it. They are both honest and down to earth kind guys and treat each customer like family. There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about D&M.
