This business is ridiculous. They undercut the customer substantially on the market price of scrap metals. The ownership & management are are off putting judgemental people that lack personality , motivation , honesty & many other unknown hidden factors that play a role in their shallow existence. They have no true understanding of human kindness & are void of empathy. There is no appreciation or respect within this business. To top it all off They are in serious OSHA violations and conduct work tasks with carelessness that put others in danger due to their lack of exhibiting safety procedures. They violate FEDERAL mandate by forcing their employees to work an 8 hour shifts with proper 10 minute rest breaks required by the state of Kentucky after 4 hours of work. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE LOOKING TO DO ANY TYPE OF RECYCLING BUSINESS. River city metals is a much more professional place of business.

They don't pay for steel anymore. But they'll still happily take it off your hands! So it's not that they don't want to deal with it, they just don't want to pay you for it. Quickly dropped to the bottom of my list of scrap yards.

Sweet people. Have been coming here since 2013, absolutely AWESOME people. Very organized! This is the only place we will use for our recycling needs!

I am really disappointed in this recycling center!Like other reviews posted!Stay away if you want real price for your scrap!I turned in 19 lbs of yellow brass also 10 lbs of copper piping.I received 31$ for my scrap.I felt like they robbed me.Or I felt like I just gave it to them!I have been recycling for years and I know what prices are!Should have got at least 60$ for my scrap!And pretty sure I would have somewhere else!I will never return to this shady recycling center again.They should be investigated into theft!Im sure he is getting the 1.58 for my yellow brass I just gave him!He paid .60 for my yellow brass.I hope you are happy in the way you rob your customers!STAY AWAY.

Best customer service around! Thank you, Tom, for your kindness while you serve. They have reasonable prices on copper and copper/aluminum coils, a concrete drive to protect the van tires and clear directions on how to get to the unloading area. I was also in and out quickly. I'll be back soon; keep up the excellent work.

Climate change and human impact on our environment are such hot topics right now. It is so important to have companies like Blue Grass Recycling. They are trying to stop metals from going into landfills. I love that when I go to recycle my items at Blue Grass I feel better for our future and Blue Grass pays me for doing it. Every time I have brought aluminum cans to recycle, someone always helps me grab the numerous bags that I have. I’ve always been treated great here by employees and will continue to come in the future.

Worth it! Take the time to take your scrap metal and cans to Blue Grass. They serve everyone from companies to “the little guy”. I am the little guy - they are friendly, helpful and treat you as a valued customer even if you just have a bag of cans. You get a few bucks and we all benefit. Great folks!

I had to get rid of a lot of debris left to home I just purchased. I have never recycled this type of material nor have been to Bluegrass Recycling. I am so glad they were the recycling co. closest to me. The customer experience I was given from the 2 gentleman. I believe it was Jesus in the yard & the very sweet gentleman at the pay booth. I arrived one minute before they closed and there was no sense of urgency to get done with me I had a lot of questions and they informed me on more things to be recycled to bring out. Excellent customer service! I will NOT go anywhere else but Bluegrass Recycling! Thanks, for the warm welcome guys! I very seldom have to wait in a line, it's quick if u bring your recycling here. The employees are friendly and quick to help. I will always bring my recycling here to Blue Grass.

It was great I got rid of some metal and other things around my house I also received a little bit of cash for it and I do mean a little bit is a $4 but it was worth it to get the s*** out of my Garage in yard so I'm glad that I can help the environment

We went to Blue Grass Recycling recently with a bunch of old metal we found in the barn on our new property. They were extremely helpful and we were pleasantly surprised with how much we got for it. It was more than enough to pay for our trash that we took to the transfer station. We will definitely be using them in the future!

Helped me sort my recyclables and informed me about items that I could recycle. Drive thru drop off is convenient and fast. Had to wait awhile for clerk to return from lunch to get paid. Very courteous staff.

Blue Grass is always my go-to recycling center after I have accumulated scrap from remodel projects. Everyone is super friendly and fair with their metal allotments! I highly recommend them for recycling!

I recycle mostly cans. The same people have worked there for years. They are very friendly and show you their appreciation. I've been going there for years. Now my adult kids go.

Did you know they recycle old water heaters? Thanks to their friendly staff I learned something new and got a couple bucks out of the deal...not to mention the water heater isn't just sitting somewhere in a landfill. Thanks Blue Grass Recycling!

I love how clean they keep their area,I don’t have to worry about getting anything in my tires. And everyone is very polite and professional. I even drive further just to get the service and the clean environment.

I go to bluegrass because it is great!! A fun family trip to the scrap yard is always a splendid time. Helpful staff which will assist me with unloading my truck if I need help (which i believe they are not supposed to do technically), and they have always been very nice to me whenever I go (which is normally at least once per year for 10 years. Thank you Bluegrass!!

I drive out of my way, past another company, to recycle with Blue Grass. The workers are friendly and efficient. Pricing is competitive with other places, but the service makes them stand out.

I only go to bluegrass if I don't have a choice. Either I don't have the time to go to garden street or whatever the case may be. Garden street in Cincinnati always gives almost double what bluegrass gives. ALWAYS!!
