We went to the original sign that's located on Google maps. It's right next to someone's house and no good place to park. But on the way, we drove past another welcome sign exactly like the original, but it was about 50 yards from a church (Providence Baptist) and easy parking to grab a quick pick.

My father in law lives where the sign sits. There isn't much there except the sign. No tickets are sold, it's just a landmark.

It's a welcome sign, as advertised. :] If you visit and don't see the little monkey buddy, check the ground because he may have fallen.

Not a lot to see here, but a few scattered houses amid the fields. My father was born here in 1905, but there's no monument to memorialize it. He wasn't famous, so no surprise there. On to Possum Trot tomorrow, to see my mother's birthplace.
