To say I am disappointed with this shop is an understatement. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants things done in a timely manner and for a fair price. I am a 20 year old female who got hit by a deer an over a month and a half ago. I went through insurance first to get an estimate and they recommended this place to me. But when I went to get an estimate from the shop they told me they couldn’t because they needed to see the estimate insurance gave me first, which is not usually how it works, but whatever, I went with it. I had my parents email them the estimate and they claimed they never got it, so I had to resend it a few separate times until the said they had received it. Is what it is, not a big deal. So after it had been sitting there for a week they finally said they could start looking at it. My truck sat there for over a MONTH before they had to go to insurance again just to tell me my truck was totaled and they couldn’t do it. This was going to cost over 6,700 to get it fixed at this point, which is well over the original estimate. That is something one should be told within the first WEEK. The shop should have talked to insurance about this before it had sat their for a month. This just tells me they hadn’t been working on it at all. My dad had called them multiple times through this to see what was going on since there was ZERO communication. They always said they would call back and never did. They have the worst customer service. Anytime my dad called them he was dealing with someone new who had no clue what was happening. In the end we ended up telling them to put my truck back together and we are going to a different shop because this is ridiculous. My truck said their for over a month for no reason. I am a college student who usually lives in a different state and had no other form of transportation throughout any of this. Not to mention anytime I was their I was spoke to like I was just a stupid woman. My boyfriend was with me and the guy at the shop only talked to him even though I told him it was MY truck. Do better.
I will never be coming back here. I do NOT recommend ever going here. My insurance even said they are removing them from their “recommended repair shops” because of how bad their service has been lately.
I don't normally write reviews, but I paid $1237.54 for this one and am still a little shocked at my experience with this body shop.
After dealing with these people, I completely understand why my insurance premiums are what they are. This shop has collected nearly $16,000 from myself and the insurance companies!! That number doesn't include the rental car I had for over 3 weeks, which State Farm paid for.
My car (a 2021 Nissan Rogue) was in their possession from September 29th through October 22 for hail damage and a minor scrape on the rear passenger side. One of their techs told me the first week it was in the shop that it was supposed to be a 4 day job. On a positive note, the car does look nice.
If you don't mind paying 5 times more than you're expecting, and waiting 4 times longer than expected, this is the place for you. I feel like I've been robbed.
Jason and staff are awesome. Explained what needed to be done and the estimated cost on the spot. Tried something immediately on a deep scratch to see if it would work to my satisfaction. Turned out better than expected. Took back for the rest of the repairs the next week. Great job.
I had an accident coming to work in this town and got helped by these guys, they did an awesome job on fixing my truck Its almost like I just bought the truck cause of how new it looks got helped by a man named Draven Ruiz he’s an awesome person!! Highly recommend to go these guys
Koehn’s Body Shop and their entire staff is Top Notch! They provided Excellent Customer Service. They care about the customers safety and repaired my vehicle back to manufactured specifications! They always kept me up to date on the progress, while also working with my Insurance Company as well. They EXCEEDED my expectations! I will definitely refer my Family and Friends to them. Experience and Quality are Excellent!!!

I somehow locked myself out of my car while it was running! Made a roadside assistance request with my insurance and they said Koehn’s would be assisting me. I called them and explained that my car was still running and asked if they could put a rush on the request since I live in Hutch and they’d be coming from McPherson. Lyle made it to me in 30 minutes and got into my car in like 2 minutes! Very appreciative of him and Koehn’s. Great job!
Unfortunately blew a tire on the highway this morning and this was who picked up my roadside assistance call ?? I don't know the mans name who came out (he was on his way to work when he got the service call, Green truck). He was amazing, great customer service he was so polite and went above and beyond to help me. I hope he sees this or his manager knows who I'm talking about and tells him. That man needs a raise it is well deserved and if other employees are like him this shop gets ???? Thank you so much.
Absolutely recommend! Body work, towing, or mechanic work I'd trust Koehn's any day. I've used their services for more than a decade and never had a complaint. Great communication and better prices (especially on Towing) than you'll find elsewhere.
Jason, George and the rest of the staff were awesome. They were accommodating on a limited time schedule and did a phenomenal job with the pin-striping on my family member’s new Chevrolet Silverado.
I really appreciated getting a chance to talk with them about their history and will look forward to future opportunities to do business with them.

Jason and his crew have always taken amazing care of my repairs needed for my vehicles , I have had a few accidents and koehns body shop has been amazing at getting my vehicle back to me in great shape, I have been very satisfied with this body shop and will continue to use them when I need to, I just hope not for a long time tho. Thank you Jason!!!
Had two cars go through Koehns now, my own and a friends. Service has been below average in both experiences. On my own car they went beyond time and cost estimates (typical for collision work) but used many cheaper, aftermarket parts when I was quoted for all oem. When I got the car back, the paint match wasn't great, parts and hardware was missing, and some parts (fog light) were incorrectly installed. Owner offered to fix these issues but by this point I decided I'd just fix them myself.
Second experience was much worse. Rear glass install, and when they installed it they scratched and chipped paint along the lower part of the body. When it was pointed out, the owner of the body shop became angry and began screaming and insulting the owner and the vehicle work was being performed on. Said we should "take him to court" and it was "impossible" his techs could have scratched the paint.
Disappointing and sad.
We were on a road trip from New York through Kansas and we got in a car accident. The owner, Jason actually gave us a ride to our Airbnb and called me everyday to update me on the car repairs. Everyone we hear from talks about how trustworthy and high quality the service from the shop is. Great folks!!
04.2022 update - still a great service for auto repairs. They do their best to work with you on scheduling if there's any constraints and we'll also work with the insurance companies if they use automated systems depending on which one it is. However my last claim was handled quickly without too much disruption to my day and did not require a lot of input on my end from either business. It was completed with a high skill level of workmanship.
I've come here for most of my Automotive repairs. They will work with you on small repairs to prevent extreme waiting periods. They also have excellent warranty coverage and follow up on the work they do if there are any concerns.
I had the front windshield replaced on my 2017 VW GOLF R and i was very satisfied with the excellent job Jason and crew performed !

I used Koehn for towing. They were awesome and the Tow Truck Driver was just the nicest person. Awesome company to deal with especially when you are in difficult situation.
15 minutes after the scheduled arrival to tow my car from getting stuck on a dirt road (making deliveries for work), the company called and complained about having to do the tow, said that they would be over an hour late, because the truck that they need to do the job was in Wichita, claiming 40 minutes away (we were not even 30 minutes outside of town). Then when expressing our displeasure that we needed and he should've known that before the arrival time (let alone 15 minutes after), let alone at the time of accepting the job from our insurance company, the owner said he would just call our insurance company and cancel the job.
Incredibly rude, incredibly unprofessional. We pay insurance for the coverage, if you have a problem with what the insurance company pays, don't take the job or take it up with the insurance company. Don't leave the person stranded that you're supposed to be helping.
We locked our keys out of our car. The man was helpful and they came as soon as they could. It took the man maybe a minute to get it unlocked and it only cost $20! Would definitely recommend!!!
They were great! I had to have a little bit of work done on my Santa Fe. Not only did they complete the work, but they detailed the exterior of the car and provided me a rental while my SUV was in the shop. Highly recommend!
Always love this place. The people are friendly and amazing I would recommend it to anyone who is in a bind and doesn't want to pay arm and a leg for their car to be fixed. For example Im always locking my keys in my car and anywhere else it's costing me over 50 here they don't charge for weekend or over nights it's all the same price I'm really grateful for their being here when ever they can be.
Was assigned Koehn's Body Shop by AARP Roadside Assistance (Allstate). Called at 8:00am, and was told, "We'll send someone your way." Tow driver did not arrive until 9:30am. Very poor communication regarding tow arrival, then got defensive and threatened to cancel the AARP Roadside Assistance tow when asked to communicate better.
While traveling cross country in my class C motor home I experienced total brake failure, any RVers nightmare. I’m beyond fortunate that there was no accident, but I needed help and Koehn’s was there (well, 95 miles away, but it’s Kansas).
They picked up my camper on a heavy duty flat bed and drove it, me and my little dog to McPherson for repairs. Jason was very professional and patient as I considered my options, and while his company was not on my insurance company’s service list, he quoted me a price 2/3 of the company my insurance would have selected. That company did not have a flatbed and would have had to remove my drive shaft before towing.
Shane, the young man who did the tow, was courteous, professional, and a real pleasure to ride with. He loaded, navigated under bridges and overpasses, and unloaded with skill and care. Highly recommend their towing service.
My car broke down in McPherson. After 7 PM, I called Koehn's. Jason picked me up and took me back to my hotel. They picked up my car and got it fixed the next day, replacing the alternator. No guarantee they'd do the same for everyone, but Jason graciously did not charge me for the ride or tow. They worked on my car in a timely fashion and were very kind. I appreciated the service I got at Koehn's and would recommend them for anyone having car problems in or near McPherson.
I was not happy with tow truck driver but after discussing with Jason/owner he made things right. I went on to continue doing business with Jason and his father. At the end I am happy.
They have had my car 16 days as of today. I needed a new radiator. When I called to complain I got nothing but attitude and threatened with taking it back out if I didn't like the fact that they have had it so long. Llus, my AC was working just fine but now it isn't after they worked on it so that's another 4 days in the shop. $1250 dollars later I get treated with disrespect. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
I broke down on the interstate travelling through Kansas. Koehn's towed my vehicle to their shop. The owner, Jason Koehn, seemed friendly and first impression was that he was honest. Don't be fooled. He said he could replace the engine with one that had about 50,000 miles for $1000. This was authorized. Found out that engine had a blown head, after he installed it. He wanted to shop around for another but I wanted a new engine instead. The quote was $4000 for a new engine, the install, and a 1 year, 50,000 mile warranty. This was authorized. All of this was done over the phone, as I live 300 miles away. Then, without authorization, and with no notification prior to doing the work, Jason decided to rebuild the engine instead. I found out when I picked up my car nearly 2 months later. I was expecting a new engine with a warranty and I brought $4000 to pay for it. I was taken by surprise when he charged $2,943. and he made it seem like he had done me a favor, saving me $1000. He had me in a spot and I just wanted my car at this point. When the engine threw a rod, leaking oil on hot engine parts and then caught on fire 8 hours and 300 miles after I paided nearly $3000 cash, I was sick, that was all my money. When he said I couldn't prove it was his fault, or even prove what caused the fire, I felt betrayed. The fire was secondary, it threw a rod. He said if I could prove it wasn't electrical, he would refund my money. I felt hope. He said he was going to send someone to evaluate it. I felt fairness and satisfied. So I made arrangements to tow and store it, total was $690.00. He was given over 2 months to examine the engine for himself or by someone of his choosing. He didn't nor did he ever send anyone. I felt upset. He never called me back and quit taking my calls. I felt lied to and taken advantage of. My husband and I dismantled the engine to the point I could photograph the thrown rod and filed small claims. In court when Jason was shown pictures of the thrown rod and the large hole in the engine block, he suggested I had either staged the photos, or put the hole in the block with a hammer. I felt real anger and stunned surprise. Jason said I wasn't a mechanic or "certified" to make a determination as to cause. When the judge asked him if he guaranteed his work, he said "No". The judge felt I hadn't proven my case. Jason did not return ANY of my money. I am out over $4000. BEWARE!!
Koehn's went above and beyond in a really stressful situation for me. I was in an accident and used both their towing and auto body services. I got my car back in better condition than it was in before the accident. I would not hesitate to recommend Koehn's to anyone.
