My serpentine belt snapped during a cross country drive from Colorado to Ohio. I was on my way to the birth of my first grandchild. Not exactly a moment you want your truck giving up on you.
I managed to coast into a gas station around 4 pm. The clerk gave me two numbers. The first shop told me it might be Tuesday before they could even look at it.
Then I called Jared.
Within the hour he was there picking up my truck. On a Sunday. He understood the situation, moved quickly, and treated it like it mattered.
He didn’t just fix it. He figured it out. He even went down the road, pulled a part from another vehicle, and MacGyver’d it so I could get back on the road that same night instead of being stranded for days.
Was the tow cheap? No. But when you are stuck, timing matters more than anything. And he delivered.
Professional. Efficient. Straightforward. And he genuinely cared that I needed to get moving.
I made it to Ohio to meet my first grandchild the day she was born!

WOW! What a great company! We were traveling to Colorado when our serpentine belt broke and tensioner pully broke. I went to Google and found S&S Autobody sales and service. We spoke with Jared and he told us what to do to stay safe and got to us quickly. He got us towed, and then got the parts needed and had us back on the road quickly. Jared and his wife are Amazing. God definitely sent us angels today. We highly recommend this company. They are wonderful and reasonable.Great and Honest People!
Jared is a genuinely good man. He charges very fairly and doesn't hide anything and will work for you as best he can. He helped us with a two and alternator fix that took a lot of extra effort and was very pleasant to work with through the entire process. Highly highly recommend him being your first call if you are in need.
While traveling from CA to MD, the car's chck engine lights started flashing and the car stopped working, which had us sitting beside the road a thousand miles from home, on a Saturday morning!! My son found S&S Autobody on google and was able to get us towed from Russell to Lincoln. When the owner,Jared identified the alternator as gone bad, he attempted to find an alternator but since it was the weekend everything was closed or didn't stock that model. Jared helped us find a place for lodging and gave good advice for restaurants.
On Monday morning Jared worked on getting the alternator overnighted for us to be able to leave as quick as possible. The morning the alternator arrived we were on the road within the hour. Just want to express our appreciation to Jared for his kindness, and greatly impressed with his work ethic and knowledge.

Got stuck in the mud trying to take a side road to avoid an accident on I-70. Waited 4 hours for AAA who never showed. Gave in and called emergency services who sent Jared out who was there basically within the hour. Very friendly, got the job done. Thank you Jared!
They are amazing! They work on all of our vehicles, always get us in quick, and are very reasonable on price. They always give us a bid before any work is performed.
Reason for 1 stars is because the problem was not resolved. Jared charged us nearly $750 to put on the belt on a road call and then advised driver to go to the Kenworth dealership in Salinas KS to get the water pump installed.
Truck drover 23 miles and the belt that was put on came off. Driver could not make it to the dealership in Salinas or Hays KS which we were planning on going to.
Please be mindful when using this establishment for your truck/trailer repair needs.
I wanted to take a moment to recognize Jared and the team at S & S Auto Body in Lincoln, KS. About 2 weeks ago, I was on the way back to Colorado from Tennessee in my 43ft coach and ended up with an engine issue west of Salina (exit 233). During this 20+ hour ordeal, there were multiple towing companies that either wouldn’t come out or set a time to show up and then cancel. Jared came out around the 18-hour mark, looked at the issue, and then got me back to their Lincoln, KS shop. He then sent one of his drivers on a 70 mile one-way trip to purchase a serpentine belt to get me back on the road. During the downtime, I got a chance to walk around Lincoln and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

This shop saved us when the interior tire on our 20ft UHaul blew out on our cross country move. The shop closes at 5:30p but they waited on us to arrive shortly after and were able to help get it changed out after hours. Jared even lent us his car so we could go get a bite to eat while they changed it out, which they were able to do in less than an hour and without us having to unpack the truck.
Super grateful for Jared and his team for making what could have been a major disaster an easy fix. Definitely go see them for any auto issues you run into! He also mentioned they have a mobile unit and can come to you which I’ll be keeping in mind since I drive on 70 frequently between Nashville and Denver. Thank you S&S for your kindness and saving the day!
Transmission went out on my Semi , had a fuel leak, and needed driveline repairs, Jared did a very good job diagnosing, repairing , fixing everything CORRECTLY, THEY went above and beyond taking care of me from road side recovery, getting place to stay till fixed and on road I can't speak highly enough other than to say I now have some GREAY friends, who take PRIDE in what they do .... Thanks again !!! I'll definitely go to them if I'm out that way for repairs !!!
Don't question yourself and just call S & S if you have auto troubles while visiting Kansas. Our CRV started making unsettling noises after we stopped for gas. Jared saved the day by seeing as immediately, but then diagnosing and fixing the problem with aplomb. Jared and Co. are true professionals and charged us an unbelievably fair price considering their troubles.
Car troubles are never fun, but Jared made the process as painless as possible.

Jared was our saving grace today, and I can't recommend this shop enough! They were so kind, efficient, accommodating, and knowledgeable -- and beyond fair in pricing.
We pulled over for gas off I-70 and heard our car make an awful sound. We weren't sure if we could go the rest of the distance safely.
With today being a national holiday, we weren't sure if we'd have many options for getting support. The person working at the gas station offered to call Jared.
Over the phone, Jared helped me troubleshoot the noise and talk through the possible "what ifs" as I tried to figure out what to do. We decided to go to his shop where he met us (on Labor Day!!); he looked at our car to rule out a few options and to cover all of the bases.
In the end, he and his colleague figured out our issue and sent us on our way! They were friendly and chatted with us and our young kiddo as they worked.
Financially, Jared was more than reasonable + generous with his pricing, and we left as big fans of S&S and even the town of Lincoln!!
Motor home blew a radiator hose south of Russell. Eventually Jared was able to tow us back to his shop on a flat- bed tow truck and park us in his own RV lot with full hook-up. Repaired the original failure and diagnosed and repaired the cause of the overheating problem over the course of a couple days. Fair price for the work, our towing bill was paid by Good Sam Road Service. Thanks, Jared.
Just passing through on Sunday from a long road trip. 600 miles from home with wife and kids, blew a spark plug and coil pack. Called for a tow and Jared ended up providing me with a part and getting me back on the road instead. Fair price, especially for after hours on weekend. Sure beat being stranded. Recommend for sure.
Can't count on him for work . . Will tell you sure no problem and leave you hanging. Never follow through with what he tells you. Lots of talk ZERO ACTION!!!ok for a first time work after that forget it. Go somewhere else. Save you a lot of time cannot depend on him . And he's supposed to be a professional. The only thing he's a professional at is his smooth talking . So you guys with the big rigs stay clear. Don't put yourself through the hassle of another non professional. Keep on trucking and I hope that you will never have to deal with this guy. And a man is only as good as his word and he's a zero.
Jared provided timely, efficient and professional help to us when our tire blew out on our camper on I70. He thought ahead to offer us a better tire than our spare, gave us important advice about our bearings, and did it all with a big smile. We were so lucky to have found him.Thank you, Jared!!!!
Traveling across KS on a Friday evening, and had a major problem with our car. Thought it was a punctured oil pan due to a loud bang and burning oil. We pulled off on a nearby exit where the oil was draining out. Called AAA to get a tow and they wouldn't schedule one until I told them where to take it (not knowing what shop might be available for service) and was told that we also had to arrange for our own transportation, and that it would take about an hour to get to us. I called several shops and no one answered. One of those shops was S&S - and he called me back after noticing a missed call.
Jared was terrific - not only could he come get us to transport our car in 15-20 minutes, but that he would assess and service it that night if possible. He also told us if needed, he could arrange for a hotel room near the shop.
He happily loaded us up, and allowed us to move plants and a small fish tank into the tow truck. Once we got to his shop, he quickly assessed the problem - that whomever changed the oil had neglected to put the plug in properly. He took photos, found the part, fixed it, filled the car with oil/new filter, and offered to speak with the shop if needed to have them reimburse me for the expense. We were able to continue our journey.
What could have been a much more miserable and stressful experience was made easier by our luck in finding S&S. Highly recommend Jared for his excellent service, calm demeanor and willingness to assist us on a Friday evening.
Big truck issue happened on the way back home from Colorado to Virginia, had to make an emergency search for an auto shop close to the highway on a Saturday night around midnight. We happened to be just south of S&S auto in Lincoln Kansas. We pulled up to the shop where I talked to Jared, who said he would take a look first thing in the morning. He kindly set us up in their motel, Post Rock Motel for the night. This was 3 days before Christmas and Jared’s helpful soul was willing to spend his Sunday doing surgery on my f-150. Ended up having to order some big parts which he made some calls for and had them delivered by the next day. He worked all day Monday on the repair while waiting for the last of the parts to come in, and by the following morning after 2 days of solid work and hustle to get the parts I needed to get rolling again, he had my truck ready to go. We left the morning of December 24th to drive the remaining 19 hours home, where we made it back just in time for Christmas morning all thanks to Jared.
6 stars, 11/10 service. Jared saved the day for us. Need more people like him in the world. Can’t thank him enough.
Jarred came to our camp site and repaired our camper! We had a bearing failure which tookout everything including the hub! Jarred found the parts and came out very late in the evening and got the rig up and running again! I can't say enough good things about S&S Autobody, Thanks Jarred!
Had a tire that kept going flat through Kansas on a Sunday (when no tire repair shops are open) — stumbled upon/petered to this place somehow since it was the only shop open that day. No hole in the tire, but Jared figured out what the problem was very quickly and fixed it, charged an extremely fair price for doing so. No more tire problems. Definitely deserves your business

Having vehicle problems on the highway I called this shop in the middle of the night and they took care of me. Not only did I get a slip yoke replaced the next morning but I even got a deal on a great hotel room, from the owners wife, that was super clean. I appreciate what these guys did for me and my friend and I recommend anyone to give them your business.
Asked question about how I would be using the tires . Then helped me select the tires that met my requirements in various price ranges. I plan to make my future tire purchases from S&S.
