I was on my way home and the backing plate on one of my breaks started grinding. I had a ways to go before I’d be home.
Another shop wasn’t able to take me and referred me here. The guy was kind and said he had an appointment cancel and to come right in.
I explained what I thought was wrong and he was receptive. Within minutes it was on the lift. When putting the breaks and rotors on we had missed a bolt.
We were lucky we stopped. They got us taken care of. I’m lucky they were here.

Pioneer Auto in Sgt. Bluff is the best! They always do a great job on our vehicles honest, reliable, and fast. I needed an oil change and fuel filter. We were quoted around $250 from Pioneer. The quote from the dealer was $350. So we went with Pioneer. They text us the vehicle was done. When we arrived to pick up vehicle the total was $433.89. They did not contact us to let us know of the much higher price or get approval before they did the work. When asked about the higher price they said that the vehicle takes 12 quarts of oil. I replied you knew how many quarts it needed because we talked about it over the phone and he said oh yeah I remember that conversation. Also the receipt says the original estimate was $498.73. That is not true. We were told around $250 and heard nothing else from them until the vehicle was ready. We have done business with them in the past. However this is disheartening and we will not be back.
Absolutely amazing!! Our wheel bearing went out during a gross country road trip from Montana to Florida and they got us in immediately were super friendly and quick to get us back on the road!! Highly recommend in an emergency!!!
I highly recommend Pioneer Auto over anyone else in Sioux City for your Intoxalock needs. They are highly flexible compared to other companies and they are the most knowledgeable about how the device works. Most affordable as well. I have enjoyed working with this company since I switched.
Great service. Honest and kind throughout the process of repairing my Mercedes Sprinter. Coming in from out of town, usually you have to have your guard up and worry about getting ripped off, but Pioneer Auto was nothing but honest and did the best at keeping me updated. When completed, the repairs were done at a reasonable price. Highly recommended and would work with them again. Thank you.
Fast and affordable. Even fixed my bumper that was falling off for no charge. They called before every repair and gave me accurate estimates.I was told my car was totaled by the dealership and needed $1600 to make it drivable. Pioneer did these repairs for $950. They are also with AAA, so I got 10% off labor. I won’t take my car anywhere else anymore.
Do NOT recommend. Waited two weeks to get in to get a water pump repaired but I heard good things so I waiting was fine. Was quoted 400 dollars for the service only to be charged almost DOUBLE that! 777 dollars later because they said “my motor is harder to work on and I didn’t know what motor you had” even though they knew up front what kind of car I had! Did I mention this was 2 weeks before Christmas? CROOKS. Will NEVER use them again or recommend them. Not to mention they are )$&@ing rude in general.
Trust me, tow it someplace else. Local “convenience” will cost you!
Had these guys do lots of work on our PT Cruiser. From replacement of motor mounts, timing belt, water pump and recently the cooling fan. Absolutely great guys. Professional and courteous.

I’ve been coming here for 2 years and I’ve always been treated nicely. I came in today and I was treated with contempt, lack of empathy and I was berated by one of the staff members. If there were other options closer to where I live, I would not give these guys my business.
Drop my truck on Monday, they call me on the afternoo to let me know what was wrong, truck ready on Wednesday, that was pretty good, decent price, I would recommend this shop 100 %

I shredded a serpentine belt late in the afternoon on July 4th, the shop wasn't open but they got to me immediately the next day, which was very, very appreciated since I was halfway to my destination and had to hole up in a hotel due to the unexpected brakedown. Fair price for excellent labor, no pushy mechanics, no surprise charges or fixing things that didn't need fixed on my older model car. Rich even picked me up from the hotel up the street when I didn't have a ride. Excellent experience 10/10 absolutely would recommend.
