My boyfriend’s car got stuck on my street because the city doesn’t plow my neighborhood. One of his back wheels were stuck on a thick patch of ice and kept spinning when he tried to get off the ice. He called this place and the lady said it would be over $250 just to pull his car off the ice so he could get home. He said he would call her back and she said, “You got about one second before the price goes up.” Then, his car was towed and we weren’t informed about it till a few hours later. They made him pay $400.
Called mid iowa a few days ago to get my vehicle towed from my house to the shop as I lost all oil in my motor. Guy that answered was very helpful and knowledgeable! To me it was great pricing and only had to wait maybe 30 minutes for the tow truck to show up. Driver was awesome and even joked around a bit with me as he was loading the vehicle up. Would recommend mid iowa to anyone!
Very bad experience with them I was living out of my car and went for a walk and they let my cat out next to the west Casey's and towed my car so they killed my cat
My transmission blew on me this afternoon and they guy who arrived was very helpful, wish I remembered his name to give him props. Quick and friendly service.
Austin was the best! He got to me extremely fast, as I was broken down on the highway. He kept me in high spirits with light conversation the whole ride to my destination. Austin made the whole experience smooth, easy, and stress free. I would definitely have him tow my car again if I was in need!! 10/10!
Thank you for the excellent service! My son and I (he is active duty military) were passing through and ran into vehicle problems. It was a little after hours, but the driver arrived and very quickly had my son’s truck on the flatbed and was able to accommodate our request for a drop off at a hotel we made last minute arrangements with. Then had to call again the next morning for a tow to a repair shop. They arrived timely and dropped off with no problem. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you for hiring great people.

I've always had nothing but bad experiences with them.. from them ruining my car in a tow a few years ago to them towing a car today and refusing to give information.
Was given this company number from another company to get assistance with a large equipment recovery that was way out off the beaten path. Contact was very quick in response. Met on site and came up with a recovery plan and put it right into action. All the guys where quick and thorough. Mike Reese is knowledgeable and mindfully considered how the process would go in order to mitigate any further damage to the equipment. Couldn’t have asked or paid for a better service. Hope to never see them again but as the industry goes if I do find myself in this position again I know who to contact!

The customer service was outstanding. The driver was very helpful and understanding. And the prices were much cheaper and upfront than Tonys in Webster City. I will definitely call on them again if needed.

I recently broke down 104 miles from my house at 530 pm on Saturday. Have AAA which says will tow up to 200 miles. 5 hours later still at reststop broke down at. Was called at 3am Sunday from AAA, still trying to find a service but can be reimbursed if find my own tow. Called Mid-Iowa towing Sunday morning and sure enough came and got my car and towed it to my house. These guys are amazing. Driver was professional, polite and so helpful. I can't thank Mid-Iowa towing enough for towing my car and not spending another night away from home.
I would give no to start the woman that pick up was rude said they closed but it says 24 hour then due to liability they will not put my spare on my tire on my car so you’re a tow truck company they do everything but put a spare on or they just tow??????? that’s the first tow truck company I’ve come across that says due to liability they can’t put a spare on
After the tow company hired by the insurance company failed to show up, twice, I decided to go local. Have used mid iowa towing in the past, through my AAA. Has always been a good experience. I appreciated the time they took to take pictures of before and after tow. Also liked the feature that showed in real time where the tow truck was. Will definitely use this company again.
They rescued my husband who was stalled out, in a snowstorm, in the dark, and got him safely in to town. No BS, just nice people doing right by total strangers. I’ve never left a review before but wanted to say a big Thank You!

Called to have them jumpstart one of my semi’s, their employee showed up with a poor attitude acting like he didn’t want to even help us. After spending 12 minutes with a jump pack on the truck and it not starting he stated there was nothing he could do to get the truck started, charged our card $125, and left. We then called another local company who came out and spent about 40 minutes with jumper cables on our truck and got it started for us, we had to pay them as well. When calling mid Iowa towing to request a refund I was told to “shove it up my ass” and hung up on. These people are extremely unprofessional and are down right crooks!
I needed help changing a tire on my work van and they came within a reasonable amount of time. They saved my butt since it was after normal hours for all other towing companies. Will use them again if I ever break down in that area again.
In the last week, I have had two situations where I needed personal assistance from a tow company, and both times I called Mid-Iowa. The first situation was for a tow after an accident, and the employee who helped was fast on the scene, efficient, and did a great job at getting my vehicle where it needed to be. The second instance involved my very young daughter being locked in our rental vehicle with the keys. The driver was at our location about five minutes after we called because he could sense the urgency in the situation. The dispatchers are always pleasant and easy to work with. I highly recommend using Mid-Iowa Towing.
They helped me in a bad situation, let me stay inside where it was warm on a winter day, treated me very nicely, recovered expensive items that I lost in an accident, and mailed them to me.
There really aren't words to describe how good this whole crew is, I'm just very thankful for them.

I cannot say enough good things about Mid-Iowa towing! My son locked his keys in his truck and did not have another set. I wasn't sure who to call and I was referred to Mid Iowa by a co worker - and I'm so glad he did! The woman who answered my call was so friendly and so helpful! I was able to pay her right away in the phone - it was hassle free and she sent someone out right away and he was unlocked within 20 minutes! What a relief! We all worry about our kids when they are driving and Mid Iowas service gave me a huge piece of mind!! Thank you so much!!
called them because we locked keys in our car with the dog in it. they immediately sent a driver. although the dog ended up unlocking the door with his paw i couldnt have asked for better and immediate service. highly recommend
Great Company. Someone entered me into their Christmas give away and they were super friendly. As i had no idea why or who would enter me. but i'm thankful
They are very inconsistent i have delt with them on several occasions the first they quoted me the wrong price 400 for 2 days and wouldn't allow my machenic to check the car out to see if i could drive it out! The 2nd time i n bought a car at auction and it said i could title it but when i tried to title it i couldn't because it was an out of state car. They were suppose to take care of it but the car still sits without a title or registration and i DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT! They charge you more if you are upset about what ever your situation may be! Too me everyone gets upset and don't mean to be rude but when you get screwed over and they are liable for it! You will have an attitude. I consider it rude that they show no empathy no simpathy to customers. WE ARE ALL HUMAN!!!!
Had a mix up on a vehicle drop off, they made it right immediately. Every person I dealt with was friendly, polite and helpful. Absolutely the kind of service I will remember and share with others.
Called at 545am. They told me it'd be an hour, it was 55 minutes and the hook was pulling up. Took 10 minutes to get the trailer out of the ditch. Knowledgeable and experienced. I'd recommend them to anyone for heavy semi wrecker service
I locked my keys in my car and they took over 20 minutes to get there. It took them no more than 2 minutes to unlock it and they charged me $53.50. I looked at the bill when I finally got in some light and the guy said he had to tow my car and that's why it was so much. Complete bullshit. He was rude as well.
