Love this place they know their stuff and get things done I would highly recommend going here for any of your mechanic needs especially when my vehicle went to a shop the week before and I was told it was 100% fine (I knew it wasn't) and the guys got my truck in and fixed it for a decent price.

Cody is a genius, i had called about a issue and he told me right away how to fix it. (Turbo blew a hose, also was overheating and he said to check the reservoir for leaks.) Both times i was 2+ hours from home and alone.

I can't overstate how helpful, honest, and friendly this establishment is. Some specific instances: -Cody, mechanic, spent 15 minutes on the phone outlining 3 options after suspension parts I ordered and delivered to their shop didn't fit correctly. He outlined them by cost, long-term implications, and his personal recommendation. "If I was in your shoes, I'd do 'x' and this is why." -A major suspension overhaul took significantly longer than expected due to additional unforeseen issues with the vehicle and to my own aforementioned mistakes in ordering. Throughout the process Wellman Automotive checked in with us providing updates and context to where they were at in the process. They were open and direct with competing priorities and set deadlines that they met. -Curtis, the shop manager, spent 30 minutes on the phone with me doing comparison shopping online to find the best parts, weighing pros and cons and providing real-time feedback on which brands their shop has found successful and which to avoid. When I told him to bill me for the time, he said "No way, I'm just happy to help!" As consumers, the trope is that mechanics will take advantage of our lack of knowledge to bill us exorbitant prices. The group at Wellman Automotive could not be further from that. I now go out of my way to tout their fantastic customer service.

I have used Wellman Auto on four or more occasions and had the friendliest, most helpful experience every single time. The owner treats me like a valued friend and has often found an alternative solution for me that saves me money. He has worked around my schedule and even lent me a car to drive when I needed it. He gave me my first smiling impression of what Wellman was as a community. I love all the employees and they very quickly learned who I was and call me by name, pronouncing it correctly! (in my case, that's pretty awesome all by itself). I rarely make the time to review businesses but felt this one really deserved to be praised!

I'm so disappointed, I was hoping for a local mechanic that I could trust. My chief complaint here is that whomever I talked to, flat-out lied about what was wrong with my car and the cost to fix it. Because I think honesty is absolutely crucial to my relationship with a mechanic, I was no longer interested in having them repair my car. Therefore, please keep in mind, that in this review I can't comment as to the quality of workmanship here. Only the honesty. I was told that my ball joints, outer tie-rod ends, and sway bars needed to be replaced. When I asked which parts on which side, they told me "all parts on both sides". When I asked how much this would cost, I was told it would be $500-600. However, I knew from previous experience that the cost of all those parts come to about $100 total (and I later confirmed that this is still true). I also knew that other mechanics charge 3 hours labor for this work. Therefore, I guess they were intending to charge me $400-$500 in labor for a three-hour job. Moreover, they had clearly not even looked at the passenger side, because if they had, they would have discovered that I had a BRAND new outer tie-rod end on that side already. When I said that $500-600 was out of my price range right now and I was just going to have to wait about a month to get the work done, the man then assured me that they could maybe "do me a favor" and "get my bill down to around $300" if they looked for "used parts". What an outrageous lie! No one bothers to use used ball joints/tie-rod ends/sway bars when each piece costs $25 or less! It wouldn't be worth the cost of labor taking them off! I don't know how they thought they were going to "save me $200-300" on parts that only cost $100 brand new to start with. I could have forgiven lying about the tie-rod on the one side. Maybe they just looked at one side and assumed that the other looked the same.... But no way can I forgive lying so blatantly about the cost of parts. That guy looked me right in the eye and acted like he was doing me a favor when really he was trying to rip me off.
