Hayden was the bay manager and he and his team did great! I just got the truck back two weeks ago with new paint on the hood and I told him no high pressure on the hood. He must’ve told everyone cause not a single guy in there touched the hood with a pressure washer. They emptied,cleaned and refilled a soap bucket and scrubbed very lightly on the new hood. Rinsed with a garden hose. Couldn’t be more pleased with Hayden and blue beacons service.
I stopped to get the semi washed it was over $100 and they didn’t brush the truck they power washed it all of my chrome is dirty the muffler pipe is still black they rushed to finish the truck to get more people in quickly. 10/10 would not recommend go somewhere else. I even asked them to use the brush and they said they always do and they didn’t.
Very disappointed with the truck wash service. The outside looked okay, but they did not properly clean the upper engine/hood area of my truck. A lot of dirt and grime was still there after the wash. I paid expecting a complete professional wash, but the job was incomplete. They need to pay more attention to detail and clean all parts of the truck properly.
Young men have no attention to detail wheels look like crap. half stainless still dirty, pipes not clean. Obviously need better leadership and pride in work.
The quality at this location has really dropped in the past month or so They really don't know how to rinse off everything and all the soap from the truck They don't even understand how to wash all the salt off the tanks or get the mud off the tires. Real disappointing experience.
119$ waisted. I made it around 20 miles down the road got out and looked at the truck couldn’t hardly even tell it’s been washed trailer looked like garbage. You would think they would do a half decent job being in an area with a big attraction. Save your money and just go to the truck wash at i80 if I could give zero stars I would. Won’t be returning again.
I visited here for the first time today. Usually I go over to the truck wash at the TA. But a friend told me how much better the Beacon was here. And as a truck driver we all know how bad beacons are. But this one impressed me!!! They asked multiple times while they were washing the truck if I was satisfied and liked what I saw. They did everything I asked them to do in a friendly efficient manner. My truck had an inch or more of salt on it. It was horribly nasty. I asked for my frame to be washed extra well and they did it. They allowed me to look it over before getting back in the truck and starting it. They did the extra rinse and rain x I asked for. I was impressed and extremely happy with my service and wash! I most definitely will be using this beacon more often when im running this route!!! Keep up the great work fellas!!!! Before and after pics!!!
Been to a LOT of streakin' Beacons over the years and miles.... This one defies that reputation. Anytime I need a wash and I'm going through Iowa, I stop at the Walcott Beacon. Not once have I had a water spot after a wash here. These guys should be the standard by which all other Blue Beacons are judged. 10/10, every time.
This Blue Beacon is particularly sloppy with their power washers, and they managed to get so close that they snapped the tiny plastic OEM washer nozzle that clips onto my MB Sprinter’s windshield wiper blade. What bothers me most is not the damage but how they reacted. The GM Nathan finally returned my calls 5 days later and basically said if their power washer doesn’t make physical contact, it’s not their problem, so a) he’s not going to pay for a fix, and more importantly, b) he’s not going to train his staff any differently.
Update: I asked to speak with someone higher up, and fortunately I did receive a call from corporate who seemed more amenable to looking into whether this could be avoided in the future. He also said he’d try to hook me up with a free wash next time, but it’s been a month and I haven’t received anything.
The truck left dingy. When I told the guy and showed him it he said he could wipe it. The apathy was not lost on me. This location has gone downhill. If you are traveling on I-80, Illinois or Des Moines IA would be better locations to try.
The truck was poorly washed. I added before and after photos to make it obvious. There are young guys working here, so either find a better place and supervise them.
I run norther Quebec so I’m still covered in sand an snow . This blue beacon is on my route to my delivery in Kansas and they do a wonderful job every time . Last night I had them flash a few areas of my aluminum. I can’t use brightnrr because even on my trailer my landing gear and hose tube are polished . They brushed the entire unit and never missed a spot . This girl is 8 yrs old and she’s still in top shape . Thanks to the crew at this blue beacon
I brought my truck in after coming through Donner Pass, Nevada and Wyoming. It was covered with salt and dirt and all the other things that you collect on the road. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Those guys communication was impeccable. They got rig and trailer looking road worthy again
We stopped in last night. Got our trucks washed and let me tell you my 379 was nasty dirty they did an awesome job. Then I get up this morning after sleeping in the lot next to truck wash and I see this guy walking around some trucks then he came over and was walking around our trucks. I decided to talk to him he was im guessing a boss from the truck wash. Super nice guy he saw some spots on my truck that got missed and said just pull up in front we will get that cleaned up. I didn't have them do it. But I really appreciated the fact that they would have. We will be back next time we are down. Thank you for the awesome work!!!!
Absolutely terrible wash… my children could have done a better job with a garden house Please look at the pictures this is what 150 bucks gets you at this location.
The worst Blue Beacon I’ve ever seeing in my entire career. My truck came dirty - went out in the same condition. 7 minutes for the truck. 67$. Talk to the supervisor there - got an explanation: We charge 300$ for frame wash, our brushes soft and can take everything off the truck… Ridiculous. Like it’s my first BB and my first wash that this guy thought. Never again.
Paid 127.00 and the trucks still dirty!! Second time this has happened here. Will be the last time, going to Bloomington or de Moine from now on, this blue beacon is junk

Excellent job today. The guy in charge of the bay I was in made sure to hit all the “weak” spots that usually get missed. Walcott BB has always been one of my go to Beacons. Thanks guys for keeping me looking large. A black truck is hard to keep clean and streak free. They always give me an extra rinse here. Thanks guys. Now to step west and turn heads as I do it!
Had to go thru twice and still did not get my pickup clean. The second time I went thru I had to wait as they had me back up to pull another truck threw first before fixing mine. Once I got in there they were sorta acting like mine wasn't still dirty so I got out and showed them all of the spots I was concerned with then they said ok we understand. After the second time I still had a very dirty pick up (not even a semi and trailer). It's hard to believe they can clean a tractor trailer well if they can't even get my cab and chassis ram looking decent. Not a very decent professional atmosphere just a kind of rushed ok now leave kind of vibe. Will not return
I wish I could say this was a quality wash but it isn't. $65 for the truck and $26 for the trailer. As normal, one side is somewhat better then the other. A lot of missed places. Sadly I left there and went to the tourist trap across the way. I specifically asked the trailer to get done very well and that didn't happen. I also mentioned other spots that two out of 6 where hit good. The fecal matter that some one was so gracious to leave in my trailer in Indiana was still there. I went through a very dust area in Illinois and that was still there. Probably should had just went to the truckomat but figured BB would do a better job. I guess that's why I love washing my own truck. Yeah I takes 3 hrs but it's a 1000% better. I hope the wash aircraft a lot better then they do trucks.
