Good place to take your old electronics. Also, if you need some part for an older computer like a usb mouse or a vga cable, they’ll give it to you free. Friendly staff.

I would leave more than two stars, but unfortunately they're going to get a two start review this time. I loved doing business with this company, for the plane symbol. Fact is I can recycle anything that I didn't need and they had a wonderful storefront that I could come in and purchase recycled items that I could reuse that I possibly needed. But unfortunately they're storefront is now closed. So this leaves me to wonder are they just taking the parts and destroying them and recovering the gold? How are they doing this? Are they EPA certified? I don't remember seeing any certificates on their walls. Maybe I'll call the EPA and just have them pop in and do a little check. Perhaps that'll help them open their store back up.
Needed to get rid of a ton of old electronics (no tvs or computer monitors) and this place took them all. I called them first to check price, hours and what limitations they had. They were super friendly on the phone and in person. Mind you, they don't have limits and it was free, unless you have tvs or computer monitors. Once we got there they were super helpful and friendly. Helped us unload our 2 vehicles in no time. Amazing, friendly service. I'd highly recommend if you have any electronics to recycle/get rid of. They make the process so easy!
Great place to recycle unused electronics, cables, batteries, and CDs. Also, if you need a cheap computer they have a great prices on used laptops, monitors, and more.
They're always quick to unload my vehicle when I come in with a large pile of electronics for recycling, and they occasionally have some really good deals on gently used computer hardware in their shop area.
I got a really nice (super inexpensive) laptop, which has been serving me well for a few years now. They were very helpful when I was selecting which one to get as well.

Most refurbished equipment is high quality commercial grade. They recycle just about any type of electronics for free or very reasonable prices and their website has a concise breakdown of all their services. I highly recommend this company for electronic recycling and high quality refurbished computer equipment.
This place is awesome, they took care of me when i was on a budget for a college computer, they have a 90 day warranty. very polite and know what there doing.
I've been to this location to buy used computers twice in the past, and I visited again recently to look at computers. The prices were good, as always.
I have to mention the smell of cigarette smoke. It was immediately noticeable when I walked in. I can't help but ponder bringing a computer that has had smokey air blown through its innards into my home . I could hear the hum of an air purifier running from somewhere behind the counter, but it can only do so much. It still smelled of smoke. The smell also made me recall why I don't visit more often.
Unfortunately, you can't report the smell of smoke to Smoke free Air Iowa. You can only report seeing someone actually smoking a cigarette. So, I am doing the next best thing. I'm letting the public know about my experience, and maybe that will make them change their ways.
Giving 3 stars because the value of the computers is good, but I can't give all 5 for the reason mentioned above.

I've bought at least 10 monitors and another 10 laptops from here. Their laptops work great and they're dirt cheap. Just imagine have a hex monitor display set up for less than 300 dollars... yeah, that's cheap. Also the laptops they have are business grade machines. HP elite books, engineering grade workstations, mobile workstations.
A word of warning with used laptops in general, typically the battery won't be the best. That's not a mid western electronic recovery thing, that's just a used laptop thing. So if you're planning on using the laptop without a charger, I would also budget another 35/40 for a battery on ebay ;).

They have lots of high quality laptops and other computers for a great price, but that's not their biggest strength. Although that is a big deal, their staff is amazing!! They are very friendly and helpful. They actually CARE about their customers and want to make you happy enough to come back again some day. They have helped us in a big way. My computer is my bread and butter. I can't afford to be without one or have one that is unreliable. This past week the computer I had purchase from them years ago crashed. Dead beyond fixing. They got me set up with another one and they even helped me retrieve my information. I love these guys! Can't go wrong with this company!
Extremely fair and helpful!! Also very knowledgeable without being condescending nor impatient. Highly recommended. This is where we go first for our computer needs.
