I paid $133.75 for a towing service, and just two minutes after making the payment over the phone, I called them to cancel because something came up. They refused to refund the money or even part of it. Very unprofessional and disappointing service.
Had a Porsche picked up in Cedar Rapids and dropped off in iowa city. I requested a roll off truck and within minutes they were there and getting it loaded up the right way. Great service at a good price.

There is an automotive side to Hooker that isn't as well known and is expertly managed by Alex. He is knowledgeable, experienced, fair and honest. If you want something done right by someone who treats vehicles as if their own, Alex is your guy! On a scale of 1-5, he is a 10. :)
The gentleman from Hooker Towing was my hero. I was at Donutland and managed to lock myself out of my car with the keys and my phone in it. When the gentleman stopped at Donutland for donuts I asked him if he was a provider for my roadside assistance plan. He was not but unlocked my car and refused payment. Highly recommend

I called several places that were cheaper but had several in line. I needed a jump. It was about 11 pm and the guy said it was after hours so it was more. The advertisement said 24 hours So no after hours just an excuse to price gouge. I wouldn't have waited for the other truck but I pulled over for gas in an area I didn't feel comfortable. So the jump went ok. I assume this guy wasn't busy because the locals know they price gouge. Open 24 hours but charges after hour fee. Haha 24 hour restaurants don't charge after hour higher cost.
Operator was cordial and very nice in the mistake I made in giving him the wrong vehicle AWD instead of a two wheel, He was very insightful and understanding of the situation and gave the most professional information and was courteous even though I felt I wasted his time, but I appreciate you guys and thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience!

My car stoped and wouldn’t restart in the middle of the afternoon on Memorial Day. The tow truck driver was there in a matter minutes after my call and was VERY professional. At a time of extremely high stress for me and my family, he was very sympathetic, courteous, and probably the most helpful person I have had encountered in what would seem like forever. I would definitely recommend anyone in central Iowa needing a tow to use this company. They truly are professional.
I would recommend to all my family and friends, they are friendly and professional, they are careful with your vehicle and they are johnny on the spot! When I stalled on.on blairferry road during 5 o'clock traffic they came quickly and calmed me down! So if you need them I definitely recommend their service!.
Needed help jump starting my car that hadn't been used in a while. The driver was on time and very professional. The battery was in such a poor condition that the electronics caused it to stop working a few minutes after the first jump start. So I needed help a second time within a half hour. The driver responded to my call quickly and got the battery going again. Kudos to the driver and the team! Keep up the good work!
GREAT SERVICE! Customer Service was awesome, they came a little earlier than expected which was great and very reasonably priced! The driver Dimitri was very quick and professional. I would highly recommend them and i'll be contacting them whenever in need.
If I could give more then 5 stars I would. I'm actually shocked at the level of service I received. Came within the time promised. Driver was friendly, quick, professional. Rate was reasonable. Driver even left contact information at the repair shop so I received a call in the morning before I could contact the shop. Nice surprize! Thank you for making a unpleasant situation bearable. The driver arrived quickly, and was friendly and wearing a mask. I just bought my car so I was pretty distressed about having to have it towed, but he treated it with care. I was only a few blocks from home so I walked there instead of going with the car, but he got it to the mechanic and got my keys into their hands so it could be worked on first thing in the morning. And it was very reasonably priced to boot.
Fast, friendly and affordable. Needing to have your car towed for any reason is due usually to an already stressful situation, and the guys that helped us both over the phone to schedule the pick up and drivers that delivered our car were all very helpful, professional and friendly. Hopefully I will not be needing their services again any time soon, but if I ever do, they will be my first choice.
These guys are VERY EXPERIENCED!!! Very professional, friendly and some of them are very hilarious and it sort of takes your mind off of your troubles!! Prices were extremely reasonable (actually reasonable does the best word for them..much much better than reasonable) will recommend this company to any and everyone. we were stuck over 30+ miles out and they did an effortless job for my husband and I. Job well done!!!!!
