3rd time I've used these guys and the experience is always the same. Professional and sincere. Bert came this time to get me and bring my 2006 truck back home. Not sure how you can get any better than him. Very impressed, and thankful for his commitment to helping stranded people get back and going. Thank you Red's and thank you Bert!!!

Today I experienced one of the greatest acts of kindness and the most amazing customer service at Red Towing.
I walked out of the post office to discover my truck would not start—leaving me stranded in Anamosa, a full two hours from home. The postal employees immediately recommended Red Towing, assuring me they were the best and would take great care of both me and my vehicle. They absolutely lived up to that reputation!!!
I called and spoke with Dawn explaining the situation, and within about 20 minutes, a young man named Evan arrived. He quickly identified the issue, made sure I stayed warm by having me sit in his truck, explained what to expect next and then gave me a ride to the shop. From there, I watched their team spring into action—making calls to locate the needed part, assigning a driver to retrieve it, and working efficiently to get me back on the road in just over two hours.
What truly set them apart was what happened next. After I made it home safely, I received a follow-up call to make sure everything was okay and that I arrived without issue. That level of care and concern is rare and deeply appreciated.
On top of all that, their pricing was very fair. If you ever find yourself in need of towing or repairs, Red Towing is worth every dime. Exceptional service, genuine compassion, and true professionalism.

So many negative reviews. Im not surprised. They are rude and on some kind of power trip. They also think the anamosa pd is its own private security. Absolutely pathetic. They refused to release my uncle in laws property to me with him on the video call right in front of them. These people are violating the constitution in my opinion by siezing property they do not own.

I have worked with Dawn and Wes for years. They are 100% up front in every business practice. I have used them for towing and repair. Never have we had any issues. I would recommend them to anyone. They are fair, honest and 100% reliable. Great people to work with.
The lady at the front desk was very unprofessional telling us if we wanted to comeback later with a better attitude we can simply because we were told yesterday we could come get personal belongings out of a car which included a work badge and work keys then she was telling us no and how we couldn’t even get our belongings from the car !! very upsetting how there was such a lack of decency and compassion to the customers!!!!
Wes was a great guy helping me. He was knowledgeable and knew what it took to get my tractor to my designated location so I can continue to train people to get their CDL. Awesome service!
Reds helped me out of a jam when my SUV died at McDonald's and my roadside assistants wouldn't be able to get my vehicle till the next day. Reds got to me in 45 minutes and took my SUV home for me.
Hometown service. Friendly, efficient, professional and very knowledgeable. They look out for their customers as well as their own employees to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Appreciate having them when trouble strikes!
Dawn Koob is a rude person. Also told my father if we would've had full insurance would have been twice the price. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH REDS TOWING OF ANAMOSA IOWA.
They went in my vehicle after a very bad accident. They had someone go in there in my vehicle and the one who I hit and cleaned it out before for came to get our valuables! And actually threw them away!!! In the dumpster! We got a few things back before garbage truck took it! No apologies! Not good! Still mad ! There were things that were family things I can’t get back! Don’t use them ! I didn’t have a choice! That’s who they called to get my car!
I had a fantastic experience. My nephews came out to watch my car get towed. In the process, the gentleman was completely kind and answered all their questions. He even played along to their crazy antics about "selling" them his truck. He was a great sport.
It happens to all of us even fellow tow truck drivers! My girlfriend and I came to visit Anamosa from Wisconsin to visit her family and she locked her keys in her trunk. Knowing my nearest long reach and bag was a few hundred miles away I called Reds and one of their operators showed up in about half an hour dressed very well and we’ll mannered. popped the door for us and got us taken care of quickly with no damage to the vehicle at all Big believer in professionalism and taking care of business so I highly recommend calling them!
Great service at Reds. We did not have anything towed but purchased a vehicle from this awesome family owned business a few weekends ago. They were very courteous and even had the vehicle washed and cleaned for us by the time we got there for a test drive. The vehicle runs great and appears to have been well kept. Nice place to do business.
The price gouging in Anamosa is the main reason it's businesses are drying up. I'm a local and think it's ridiculous to pay $80+ to get my car towed 2.6mi from my street to the mechanic, if it were $50 or $60 that'd be more reasonable. $80 for 2.6 mi is not.
Arrived when they said they would. Extremely helpful. The driver even helped find a mechanic for after hours repair. Above and beyond exceptional customer service. Price was more than fair considering it was around 6pm and towed the truck and camper 15-20 miles. If higher recommend them for all your towing needs.
Reds really came in clutch for us this weekend with more then fair rates and were there quickly. We had broken down outside of Iowa city/ Solon area after a radiator hose had burst on our vehicle. Needless to say it was terribly uncomfortable outside with a 108 heat index. As soon as the driver arrived he said "I've got the air on in the truck go cool down". The driver which I believe was also the owner had plans for the evening that we had interrupted but was more then happy to get us back home safe and cozy. As a mechanic myself I can't thank them enough for taking great care of us and our stranded vehicle. Highly recommend and will gladly use again.
I had a 2009 mozda 6 that we had hit a deer and we were able to get it back to the hotel, in the morning I called Wes and asked if he had time to come grab it and that we are in cedar rapids and needed to go to All Seasons he said yes and was more than happy to help Thanks Wes for your help
Truck stuck in an icy dock in bad weather. Overall a bad situation since we're based out of KC. Red's did a great job communicating during the whole process. They were super understanding and very reasonable. I highly recommend them.
Red’s did us a great job! Had a Linkbelt 160 drop over a steep hill when the ground gave away. They were professional about there response, and safely rigged the excavator with two trucks and another excavator that was on site brought it back top side. It was a incredible recovery to say the least. Hope we see you later than sooner, but if we ever need help again there is only ONE place we will call. Thanks again!
-My car was ransacked upon pick up. -Way over priced. -Upon pick up my friend asked Red's to move 2 cars sitting in front of their car so they could get their car out. Was told they would have to pay a tow charge for each car in order to get their car out.My friend had to forfeit their car to Red's b/c they didn't have that much money.
I have been coming to Reds for many years. They have always been nice and professional. They know what they are doing and I have NO complaints about them or the job they have done.
Red’s was able to get to us within the hour of us calling in. We were in a very icy situation with our f150 pulling a 22’ fully loaded enclosed trailer. The guy who came was very experienced and great to work with. Great price for what we got our selves into. Would have been out of commission for multiple days if he was not able to execute to rescue, but he did perfectly. Beyond appreciative of the help. Other towing companies said it would be 4 hours to just get to us.
