Terrible customer service! Never received parts after being told multiple different days that they would be there. I would not recommend doing business with these people.
Called about a door and fender. Told them I need a grey set. (Didn't have the exact color I was looking for.) Had it ready to pick up in a few hours so that was good but I get there and I'm given a black fender and door. The door had no mirror and no interior trim. Told the shop tech who said he would look into it, never saw him again........... MAKE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE GETTING BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!!!!!!
Mr. (Heart of Gold Nugget) Nugent bought my van (cause she was on her last wheel ?) and it was time to day goodbye ?) he paid a good price to crush here. Rip Wendalynn Rosaline (Windy).
Like so many small businesses in the Maquoketa area, Nugent Auto reeks of greed and desperation. They are the kind of people who will quote you one price over the phone, and then a higher price when you stop in to get the part. Then they cop an attitude if you ask them about the price difference. Their prices for junk auto parts are already ridiculously high. I've tried to deal with these people several times in the past, but the owners are so arrogant and greedy that they make it impossible. They are a junkyard/slash/auto dealer, and that's never a good combination. Their main business seems to be piecing together wrecked cars, trucks and vans, and reselling them as "quality used vehicles".
I would highly recommend avoiding Nugent Auto at all costs. If you're looking to buy a used vehicle, have enough sense to go somewhere else besides a junkyard. If you're looking for used auto parts, I would suggest trying the other salvage yards around Maquoketa first. If you still can't find what you're looking for, I would check with the many junkyards in the Quad Cities or Dubuque to find the part you need. It may be a longer drive, but you'll be able to get what you need cheaper, and without all the BS. Avoid Nugent Auto, you'll be glad you did.
