I have a '57 Chevy wagon I rode home in brand new on day one, September 1956. So it's fair to say I've been working on it and buying parts for a long, long time. Recently I had my first experience with Merv's. An agent at Classic Chevy Intl suggested he might have the part I was looking for - they did not and didn't know if they ever would. Sure enough he did. What was an especially nice aspect to the connection with Merv was that he was a "senior" like me and actually had cars like we were both hands-on very familiar with - not just a parts salesperson. I'll go back to him first, if I come up with a need for any parts. I put 250,000 miles on my '57 before I rebuild her in 2011. Since then she is semi-retired so doesn't get driven too much. Nonetheless she always seems to ask for attentiion one way or the other. Of course, the "needs" are always satisified. In a labor of love you could say. Merv's gets my highest recommendation. The parts I ordered arrived quickly and in perfect condition - they were just as he described they would be. And yes, at a fair price. Jackpot!
BEWARE…BEWARE….BEWARE… This man Merv is a JOKE !! He’s in it to fill his pockets and NOT to help the customer !! The items he sells are double the price of any competitor and his return policy sucks ! He will make it as difficult as possible to return any item. You have 30 days to return and You’ll get in store credit and a 20% restocking fee. He’s never cordial with customers and always seems to be grumpy or in a bad mood. Never again will I be purchasing anything from him !! If I could not pick a star review I would, except that in order to write a review I had to pick one.
Bought this shift lever from Merv's and and it did not match my original so I wanted to return it and he did not want to pay return shipping looking at the picture you can see the difference time and time again this is the trouble with repo parts They Don't fit ! So I am getting my return shipping cost by this Rating I guess Merv's does not want to take care of his customers so I would think twice about doing business with them.
Shipping Quality and speed- I ordered several very large items and some small items- This includes 1 trunk floor, 1 full floor, plus two rear fender wells on a Thursday, by the following Wednesday all my items were delivered to me. I was also amazed that everything came damage free and neatly packaged. The freight driver unloaded it and brought it up to my garage door. (Freight was third party shipping but they were great) Cost- Due to the high prices of the large items I shopped around for several months, waited for sales, did some more shopping around but Merv's still came out to have better pricing. My overall experience- This is my first restoration project and needed some honest advice on it. I had a long list of items to order so I wanted to order directly from them. I also wanted to make sure I was getting the correct items I needed and not blow my budget. I spoke to Merv via phone and he was very patient, honest and helpful with me. He even helped me reduce my list from buying items I didn't need. My first order from them was over 2K and all my expectations were overly met. I will definitely continue my business with this retailer as I progress in my restoration project.
I have known her for over 25 years he is always taking very good care of me and gave me the right parts at a very reasonable price can't say enough about him great guy very trustworthy and very helpful thanks Merv
