They absolutely suck. My 90’s jeep had crank no start. I was 2 hours away from home. Im mechanically inclined but no tools. I checked for spark which is easy. I checked for fuel pressure also and had both. I figured the injectors were not firing because of a bad crankshaft position sensor. Dribbled a little gas in the throttle body and fired up for a couple seconds confirming my suspicions. I clearly stated I did not want a diagnosis, just a crankshaft sensor replaced. Told the tow truck driver while recording them picking it up and then called and made it clear because im not paying $80-160 for something I already diagnosed. They call two days later and tell me they diagnosed it as a dead fuel pump, clogged catalytic converter and bad crankshaft sensor. They wanted a whopping $1,100 for diagnosis and to do the work. Told them to hold off and went there. My jeep was in the front of the building. I immediately went and spent $130 on tools and a sensor. Slipped in right at 6 when they had closed and left. In about 20 minutes I had swapped the sensor, grabbed the hide-a-key and left. Costed me a key but I wasn’t getting robbed just because I was from out of state
DO NOT USE UNLESS AS A LAST RESORT. was called for a tow by the police. Beckman's towing was about 1-2 hours out which would have been my choice but giving the situation was not an option the old guy who was sent out was highly unprofessional and did not know his job could not tow my car straight back and was towing it over a tree stump and would have dragged it across the whole underside if not stopped by bystanders and told to remove remove the sump. still caused damaged to the underside my car.
I will never use another towing/body shop. Carol was compassionate and understanding and went above and beyond to help me get my car back from another towing company. They show up quickly, and they get you taken care of. Thank you so much, Tristan and Carol, for making my traumatic confusing accident bearable.
We were stranded in the middle of nowhere, IA hours from home. It was at closing time and Tristan turned a disaster into just an inconvenience. His calmness and assurance were extremely helpful. He got us and the car to a repair shop (many miles away) that was open and identified the problem. The matter was fixed and we were able to get to the airport in time for our flight.
Called for a tow and a young guy with a big beard was there in a hurry fast friendly and professional service and even tho he wasn’t hauling a Bentley he was cautious while driving and loaded and unloaded it like it was I highly recommend and will definitely use again his professional and friendly service has led me to looking into their wide variety of used parts

Update: Needed Jim's to repair my elderly Mothers car again. My brother and I live hundreds of miles away.
So reasonable, so above and beyond. This is 1960's service and professionalism.

I'm 59, I used to own a repair shop, these people are top notch!!
These kind people helped my wife and I out big time. We were on our way home to St. Louis and picked up a piece of metal in the right rear tire. My spare tire was too low on air for me to do anything, so I called AAA roadside and they dispatched a nice gentleman and a young lady to bail us out.
They had to drive 40 miles to get to us, and they had us on our way to a local tire and auto service facility in Winfield, Iowa, whom were able to patch our almost brand new tire, and get us on our way back home to St. Louis. Jim's Towing still had 40 miles to get back to Burlington. They really helped us out when we were in a bad place, and they were very kind; just like the folks in Winfield.
I've been traveling through Iowa for eight years and I have found the people in Iowa to be so friendly and helpful, and Jim's Body Shop and Towing exemplified the kindness that helped us get out of a jam, and helped relieve some serious anxiety.
I highly recommend Jim's Body Shop and Towing, and they are a AAA 24 hour towing provider. I'm not sure what we would have done if these kind folks wouldn't have been there for us.

Nice people. My biggest complaint would be their storage fee policy. Your charged a storage fee right when it's set on their property. Even if it's only 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 or 24 hours. They still charge you a daily storage fee, even if it's not there a whole day. And their way out in BFE. Not too hard to find just takes a while to get there.
These people were very nice & knew what they were talking about! They don't get 5 stars for their lack of organization skills & it was way too expensive to get a friend's vehicle outta impound! Lol

Great staff! Will help you however and whenever you need them to! I know not everyone can be in and out in just a day but I am very thankful and grateful for their fast friendly service! What other place would let you look at other damaged vehicles as a learning opportunity for your kid! Well I fell like as long as your respectful.
Great place for quality mechanic and bodywork. Only AAA tow service in the area with the lowest prices. Best place to purchase the best corn-burner furnaces.
Good for towing, but do NOT trust them diagnosing your vehicle for problems. They con you out of your car to scrap it. It doesn't take 3 minutes to know what exactly is wrong with your car.
My car had problems starting so I had it towed in to these guys. They got it fixed quickly and I picked it up. A few days later I had the exact same problem so I had it towed back again. They got it fixed in a few days and I picked it up again after a pretty hefty bill. A few days later I had the exact same problem AGAIN so I had it towed back a third time. At this point I was getting pretty annoyed, but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. They seemed like nice people and genuinely wanted to make sure it was taken care of. After a week they finally got back to me saying that it had been three interrelated problems that were finally taken care of. They felt bad about how long it had taken and how difficult it was for them to identify the problem, so they didn't bill me for the third repair AND they towed my car back to my house free of charge.
It would have been five stars if it hadn't been for the inconvenience of how long the repairs took, but I genuinely believe that they were just presented with a very difficult issue to track down. The way they treated me as a customer through the whole process kept me from getting too frustrated and their generosity in the end has earned my continued patronage. I highly recommend them over other less personal car repair chains.
