My top pick for a local salvage center for used parts! As someone who works in auto repair I know buying used can be a roll of the dice, but WAP has not steered me or my customers wrong yet! They’ve always provided exceptional service and parts, called me when parts were not in acceptable condition while helping me find an alternative, and even sold me my used motor with a 6 month warranty (runs better than the original!)

Called the store looking for a replacement seat with a specific color and material. Tony answered the phone was friendly and able to quickly determine the part they had in stock was not a match. He immediately offered to search for the part from an outside store and found one that matched and was in perfect condition for a great price. Tony took payment and arranged for it to be shipped to the store. Three days later he called back and profusely apologized that somehow during shipping the seat was nicked which resulted in a small tear on the side. I was more than surprised when Tony said not to worry because he had already found a replacement seat for the one that was damaged in transit and had it already coming, it would just be two additional days and he would call as soon as it arrived. Two days later Tony called, said the seat had arrived, and was in perfect condition. When my wife picked up the seat the store was clean, parking was good, and two friendly guys loaded it into her vehicle, thanked her, and sent her on her way. Quick, friendly, and professional. I was impressed not only with Tony's customer service on the phone but his initiative to recognize a problem, solve the problem, and be both upfront and proactive.

Be careful with these guys, live hr away got part from them that they say fit my truck pd 1200 drove to get it get it in vehicle and it's not the right one so now labor and time off and drive on me. Don't matter why it's wrong it's wrong so the extra expenses come on me because what they say worked don't it's just bad business straight forward. Most would realize they made the mistake and adjust fairly not here it was my fault they didn't have the right part apparently.

I had a hard to find part for a 2007 Dodge Caravan. I needed to replace the gas tank that a garage totally destroyed and then tried to repair it and did not tell me. Of course it caused engine trouble light to come on. I was very thankful to be able to find a used tank with all the hoses actually attached.

after placing an order on their website, I received a quote for the part with transport at $246, after contacting Jerod's employee, I received information that the whole thing would cost $425, i.e. $174 more, they cheat on shipping prices and add additional unnecessary fees, I do not recommend

I really like the customer service and the hospitality this company gives. I have ordered several parts from them and I got them fast and hassle free. I even ordered some parts that would not fit my daughters car called them and advised them they were wrong parts. They promptly looked into it and told me that is what the system says, but I can bring them back and they would refund me and they did just that. The refund did not take long either. I highly recommend them for your part needs they are very professional. 10 stars if I could do that.

Walked in looking for a brake light assembly & housing for my Hyundai, professional, and quick service. Because assembly was still in a vehicle, there was a 3 day wait, and they required prepayment .

We have a fleet of late model trucks that get worked hard. When our local sources seem to have trouble finding what we need, they've always came through. No matter if it's shipped or we make the trip, it's always competitively priced and good quality. I highly recommend these guys for sourcing what you need.

Ripped Off! NO apology!! I paid 1375 dollars for a trans case that had a penny size hole patched with silicone, leaked oil, with no 4 low due to being run out of oil prior to when i bought it.I had a verbal 6 mo. warranty and found that talk comes cheap at this hell of a yard. I was rudely spoken to on the phone, hasselled,and upon my unwelcome arrival two sales clerks said''JUST HANG UP ON HIM'' not realizing I stood in line waiting to see if they would be good to their word on the warranty. I WAS INSULTED with A 50 dollar reduction off another trans case after I now have 5700 dollars in travel, parts and labor an still have no truck or GOOD WORKING trans case. They promised me another case-unil I showed up at thier door, then say I BROUGHT IT IN TOO LATE-BUT I HAD AN AGREEMENT THAT I WOULD STILL BE REIMBURSED DUE TO THE DISTANCE AN MY DISCOVERY OF THE BAD CASE THE FOLLOWING MONTH!! This trans case was never going to work with parts melted down from heat an no oil.They sold it as GOOD to use. Think they can be trusted? I put a WARNING out~ now you can decide. I feel no warranty was needed to realize the common sense of A BAD trans case not going to work yet alone give a 6 mo warranty an lie, hoping I don't come back two times across 1000 miles to settle up or mark them for others sake.

I had a really bad experience with a certain dealership in Cedar Rapids in which the vehicle I bought from them had a bad engine they wouldn't stand behind. It was a difficult engine to locate but then one turned up at Waterloo Auto Parts. Not only was it by far the lowest mileage engine I had found, it was the best price of any by far. The staff at Waterloo Auto was polite, helpful, and all around pleasant to deal with. I live 50 miles away but they will be my go-to salvage yard from here on out!

I couldn't be happier with the team here at Waterloo Auto parts. From beginning to end they went above and beyond to help us acquire the part we needed. I won't go into detail because it was well outside of the normal scope of business. At every turn doing something they didn't have to do. Yet doing it anyways. Great communcation. I called the other day looking for parts for a 2008 subaru and I had already called three other places and didnt have anything. Besides having everything I needed the employee, Dotty, who answered was beyond helpful, informative and happy to help. Will definitely be using them in the future.

This is the best experience I've had at a salvage center. The lobby is clean, there are four happy people there to help you! The salespeople are helpful and courteous whether on the phone or online chat. The parts pulled with care and are exactly as described. The prices are great!

I called to find out how much it would be for a new front bumper and grill. They wanted $300 for the front bumper which online I found one for a $150 and that came with the valance. For the grill they wanted $100 when I found the same one online brand new for $17. Do not go here.

I went there to sell my car to them. The guy who in charge of pricing the car. So the front desk ask me to leave the title there and they will give a call, ( never did) and when i called they already took the car without my approval to do so nor the price. When I called the them they say well you left the title here meaning you agree to whatever we say and still waiting to get my money for two days now

One of my first places to check on junkyard parts for my vehicles. Old or newer models. Friendly people and decent prices. Usually have the part needed or can have it ship to them from different junkyard out of state. Also carry aftermarket parts as well.

Purchased a 133k 4L80 trans from them. 5 months later started slipping and less than 15 mins on the phone total they came thru and are replacing the transmission in nder the 6 month warranty. Hands down not argument best customer service ive had with a salvage yard! I will be purchasing more parts from them in the future.

Sales representative of the business Chris D. is a great person. He helps you quickly and makes sure you get the right item the first time. And if by chance the item doesn't work out for you he makes sure that you either get your money back or a correct item. Most items come with at least a 1 year guarantee. There are plenty, usually about 4-5, representatives available at all times during business hours to assist you either over the phone or in person with an estimate or to review your account there. There is usually little to wait time.

One of the best salvage yards I’ve ever dealt with. They have no problem dealing with people from a distance over phone/internet. Easy payment method Credit cards or PayPal. Tony treated me great and their shipping is insanely fast. Good prices and very knowledgeable honest folks.

Excellent customer service! Also felt really at ease, not many auto places have a habit of treating women respectfully, but they were always helpful and never condescending. All the parts I've ever bought were good quality! I highly recommend for anyone. Life long customer.

Disappointed in their poor customer service. Rude with a "take it or leave it" attitude. Made us wait around for an hour on parts we'd called about earlier that day. Then only cleaned off the 2 rims in good condition and left the other 2 covered in dust hoping we wouldnt notice all the scuffs/scratches. Would not recommend and will never return.

Extremely poor service. Pushed to take a part that was clearly defective, then when it was clear it was too bent to work and cost me extra labor because of it they did nothing to help the situation. When I was able to take off work to return the item, ( no weekend hours) I learn It could be quite some time before I actually see my refund. They were very capable of charging me instantly but don't have the technology to do refunds at such a break-neck pace. Thanks for very little.
