Was a great help twice when my old Winnebago’s alternator went bad and then the next day when the transmission blew and I drove partially into a ditch. Lifesaver, and fair charges, too.
Broke down as we were traveling through on the Friday of a holiday weekend, we called and the owner came out as soon as he could. Fixed the truck right there in the parking lot. We are so thankful they were able to help and get us back on the road within a couple hours.
Was on the road with no fuel and a dead battery and this towing service immediately pulled over as soon as they saw us helped as much as possible And got us on the road free of charge which was extremely generous of them
They will take your car to their shop regardless where you want to take your car just to take your money, they are rippoffs. Will never do any business with them ever again. You will get charged maximum and the Boss will take forever to answer your phone call.
My car would not start, and my road side assistance sent this company. I was at work, these guys were fast, efficient, and a blessing. I’m sorry I didn’t get their names but truly the nicest guys!
Can't trust their word something will be ðone even when paid before. For whatever reason went no contact didn't answer phone or move vehicle. After cash dropped off, have recording of conversation so disappointing
Merle’s is the best, traveling from California to east Coast, car broke down after hours, they came to the rescue. I was able to get my car fixed within 2 days. Ian very professional in fact all staff was very professional. I would highly recommend them for all your automobile needs.
In a very bad moment, where one would normally feel helpless, staff did everything to make me feel secure and help me through the difficult time. I would recommend their service to anyone to the level of honesty and integrity that they exude is second to none!!
Ian was beyond helpful! The Waterloo PD towed my car and I could not afford to pay all up front to get my car back. They generously worked with me so I could take my car and get on a payment plan! They were extremely helpful in my time of need!!!

I needed my car towed. So I had to Google and this place came up. I should have looked at the reviews! I had a 300 dollar watch stolen from me! A very arrogant person named Ian told me to essentially screw off.

Avoid this place! My son’s car was impounded by Merle’s and I spoke with them on four different occasions about picking up his personal items out of his car. He had a majority of his clothes, 6 pairs of expensive shoes, a MacBook and my granddaughter’s stroller in the vehicle (which in the first conversation I was told that the car was full of items) after making a 2 hour drive to pick these items up I was given a few hand tools and a punching bag and told everything else was thrown away because it was trash.
I was told to give them a call when I was almost there so I did with no answer after arriving I called again and was told someone would be there in a few minutes. An hour later a guy showed up acting very arrogant and trying to intimidate me.
We tried this company out today and was very pleased. The driver response time was quick. The operator had a lot of experience. We were stuck for 2 days in mud, this company had us back on the road within minutes. Hands down this is the best towing company in the metro, and the only one we use from now on. The prices are fair, and they work with you. Quality customer service. We highly recommend this company, you will be pleased!!! Thanks again for going above and beyond, you are appreciated!!!
I called to get my car that was towed after being stuck in the snow and the man on the phone started to cuss after adding and additional $150 to get my car
Awesome service! I was broke down during this horrid cold snap (-11 degrees out, -30 with wind chill) after blizzard like conditions at 1am. All other tow companies recommended I leave my car (with keys in it) and get a ride home from someone (I had no one to get a ride from) due to the recent blizzard and subsequent influx of towing it created. Ian (?) came through for me. I was freezing. He was prompt and courteous, especially given the fact the poor guy had maybe a quick cat nap the last 3 days. He made me feel safe and taken care of in a dire situation. My family and I will definitely be calling y’all again if the need arises.
Dude was a typical tow truck dude prices out this world world world.They weren't open on Sunday said 50 extra buck If he had to release car to me. So Monday came I ended up pay 400 dollars for a tow and storage for 3 days? Crazy but it's all good......lol

This is the most shadiest towing place i have ever used in my life i can’t believe there still able to operate in Waterloo my son car was towed to them inside he had a Xbox some jewelry and some expensive shoes when we got the car back everything was gone i was so upset i tired to call the head office there based in a small town outside of Waterloo they are clearly all family no one helped they jus kept saying nothing was in there i had my car towed another time by them they lied first tried to act like they didn’t have it (to keep it longer to charge more) i ended up having to call the police to meet us over there while he walked around in front of us in a treating manner showing his gun we exchanged some word when i asked him why he lied and said he didn’t have my vehicle he said he had to do inventory first RED FLAG i called several other towing companies in the area and they said they do not do inventory they do not touch other ppls property only the police can do that the police made him release my car and he charged me $398 for 1 day saying inconvenience for me calling the police on him they are crooks liars and Thefts Do not use!!!!!

Very nice man. He set up an appointment for my friend's family to get their belongings out of the car after a car wreck. He was there waiting for them. Very nice man.

I don't recommend anyone use this shady tow company. My daughter's car was towed on Saturday night after 10 pm. I couldn't get it on Sunday due to them being closed.I went there first thing Monday morning and they charged me for 3 days of storage. The guy was rude and had a very poor attitude after I asked him why was I being charged for 3 days when the car hadn't been there 3 days. I asked to talk to someone and he said said he was the only person I could talk to and refused to give me any information. On top of all this my daughter left her wallet in her car and they stole her money out of it.
They also charged me $125 for the tow and $50 labor on top of that! That's Ridiculous!
October 5th I had a warrant my vehicle was towed from Casey's gas station I had $2,500 cash in there and it was stolen out of my vehicle and nobody seems to be able to do anything for me about it that's Waterloo for you
