I requested a tow through my insurance and got a text saying the ETA was 12:30 PM. Then I called and they told me it was actually 1:30–2:00 PM. I asked why the system showed 12:30 because I planned my day around it, and the guy on the phone was incredibly rude and dismissive. When I said I’d call my insurance to sort it out, he just canceled the appointment and hung up. Dispatch was made around 11 AM too.
Do not use their service go anywhere else they will leave you stranded! I was matched with them through AAA. Their communication is subpar. When they never accepted the request, I called AAA the dispatcher at AAA said she spoke with them and gave me an ETA. They called me at 3:30. I missed it for some reason. My phone didn’t ring. I honestly don’t think they really tried to call me because I was waiting for the call I’m stuck in the mud. anyhow, I received a text asking for pictures I sent pictures and then I called the number that texted me. The dispatcher picked up from American bulldog and had a really bad attitude. He told me that there was a 2 1/2 hour wait and that’s no guarantee that they would even be to me in those 2 1/2 hours. I have already been waiting for two hours since I made the request. It was freezing cold. My car was going to run out of gas. I couldn’t wait 2 1/2 hours. It just wasn’t safe so I had to call around to find a tow company closer to me and as I am calling AAA dispatch to cancel my request they Had already canceled on me. Super disappointing you know I needed help. You didn’t know that I already called someone else and you canceled on me. If anyone ever ask me about your towing company I will tell them, no I will pay them never to use you.
Also, I don’t know what kind of deal you have going on with AAA but I will make it my business to let everyone know at AAA the kind of service you provide. I’m going to be writing letters to AAA Hoosier corporate. You should not be partnered with AAA when you leave. People stranded you suck!!!!!!
Tesla reached out to “American Bulldog Towing” and the receptionist / call operator called me and ended up yelling at me for asking a question about having 2 people sit in a 1 person truck… he screamed at me making me feel insulted for asking an innocent question. then he proceeds to NOT update me like he was supposed to so i was stranded on the highway with a flat for over 2 hours before i had another towing company have to get me
the call took place at 8:35pm CENTRAL time.
Receptionist was so rude. Never kept us updated, and we were stranded on the highway for over 2 hours while being on an 8 hour road trip. Horrible experience.
Worse people ever talked to a guy name luis. I had bought my truck from a dealership was driving 15+ hours to get back home from south Carolina i had an issue with my tire where the front passenger a big chunck peel off. I call my roadside assistance wich i pay to get it tow. This is my first time ever using a towing company. My warranty covers the towing up to 150 miles. I was only getting dropped off 79 miles. The app shows he had arrived and when i called the guy he was rude telling me he just waiting to see who was going to pay him $3,700. Like ?????? Why whould i pay that when is covered and the guy said you dont tell me how to do my job look for someone else to tow you and hang up on me.
Seriously you people going act like that ??? Iknow you guys wont do a damn thing about that person but just a heads up be careful who you talk to like that.

What a horrible experience really I had called for a tow and have a bad hearing problem (becomes important later). I was talking to the man on the phone and had to keep asking what he said while due to my hearing problem . i answered his questions the best i could while i had to keep asking what he said until the man says this after i had to ask what he said, he said “we don’t entertain dumb prank calls like these goodbye” i said it wasn’t before he hung up. I’m confused on how someone could even INTERPRET that as a prank call as the only thing close to a prank that i had done was simply say “what?”. ended up going to mel’s they treated me with respect
Horrible service. I made the first mistake of having my insurance company get road side assistance (battery jump). I then had to cancel that service and get towing. After the service was cancelled and the new request was put in the wait time was 2 hours. I was going to suck it up since I made the first mistake. However, American Bulldog had me sitting at the side of the road for those 2 full hours before cancelling. Also, the personell was rude and spoke with me like they were irritated at me because I was asking questions (I have never been in this situation before). It was an absolutely horrible experience. If my insurance provider ever books them again I will cancel straight away. Not reliable at all.
I’m sure you’re going to come at me with some aggressive comments about my case to scare people from posting negatives reviews about your services. I don’t care. You made me feel totally invaluable as a customer. The other towing company they hired came after an hour, had personell that was actually nice to me and were reliable.

I got a text at 3:24pm, NO PHONE CALL, I called at 3:24 pm.
I was told since I was not right by the vehicle they would not tow. I told them I was only 5 minutes away (as I did not want to be literally standing at the vehicle for 2 hours) and was told they would probably be gone. They were. American Bulldog Towing told me that it was pre-arranged through Allstate for me to be by the vehicle. NOPE. All state confirmed the opposite. American Bulldog told me the reason for this is they need me to sign when they tow. NOPE this is not and never has been a stipulation when arranging a tow from Allstate.
American Bulldog Towing told me they tried to reach me through All State by phone. NOPE. No record of call and my number is the only one given to Allstate. In short, they lied. So now I'm asking All State to check with the business I left my car at and have them check their surveillance to see if American Bulldog Towing was there at all. Why am I doing this? I was notified they were there at 3:24pm, I called at 3:24pm and I was there at 3:29pm and they were not there. Why would American Bulldog do this? They get paid by the insurance anyway because the service is marked as complete. If you have any problems with American Bulldog, and you are using them through insurance, let your carrier know and maybe they will boot them off their list of approved towing services. Once I arrived on scene, btw, I attempted to call American Bulldog 4 times and was disconnected each time. (all withing their business hours) They clearly were very busy that day or just knew I was calling back because of my negative experience. There are plenty of good services out there, American Bulldog is not one of them.
I hit a pot hole on I-65 S and blew front drivers side tire. I called AAA and they sent me help with an hour. Driver called a couple of times to give me updates on arrival time. Very polite and excellent service.
I was North of Rensallier (spelling?) and they towed Me to Kokomo and I am Very Satisfied with the Service Provided!
Price was Really Reasonable and I would Recommend "American Bulldog Towing" to Anyone and Everyone!

One of our tractors got stuck in the mud and he came out pretending like he had a towing service for heavy duty. He wasn't able to move our bobtail truck and still changed us. he has a pickup truck, not a real towing truck so watch out.
Locked my keys in my van. The communication and the service was spectacular. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would 100% recommend them
Worst towing experience EVER. I wait on this tow truck guy in a Walmart parking lot. He passed me SEVERAL TIMES with his window down as I'm screaming for his attention. After I'm finally able to get him to stop after making a fool of myself to get his attention he refuses to tow me claiming "he didn't see me" and "tried calling me" when I never received a call to the number I gave them. I call to explain my experience and basically get called a liar.
Edit: I did NOT give the incorrect number and your driver passed me several times IGNORING ME SCREAMING FOR HIM.
After a very long, hard trip, where I purchased a truck in northern Indiana, I had a blowout around midnight on a road and did not have any tools whatsoever nor did I have a jack. Yes to my good fortune, it happened in front of the house and the man who owns this company.
I knocked on the door and woke him up to pay him to help me out. He changed my tire in the rain would not accept any payment and told me that he just wants treat other people how he would like to be treated and he realize that I was having a very rough trip and it would be good to help.
In the midst of a disastrous day, American Bulldog made things feel much better. Left on the side of the interstate with a blown tire by AAA for 5+ hours and “unknown” cancellation of tow, American Bulldog was very accommodating in getting us towed to a needed location. I had a ride along for the tow with the owner who is an extremely upstanding and honest gentleman. I highly recommend.
Keegan took time out of his day off to come rescue us from the highway when our car’s engine failed. Couldn’t say enough good things about him or the experience. If you break down near Elkhart Indiana count yourself lucky he’s around!
Worst roadside assistance company EVER called a tow truck to get my car back to Chicago even though I was stuck in Indiana and stranded. It took 2 hours for them to show up the dude was chill when he picked up and he showed me the address where’s gonna drop me off and and it was 2 hour drive back to Chicago not far to be honest. The dudes boss or dispatcher calls him and tells him to turn around and drop me off at a nearby dealership and leave me there stranded it was 2am I just wanted to go home. Dude turned back around and he took me back and left me there I had no choice but to call my dad and leave the car there and get someone else to pick up. Mind you this was a car from my dealership that was suppose be delivered back to Chicago. Dont trust these guys worst roadside company EVER!
I was impressed with how quick after Matt accessed what he needed. He was very organized to get the spare removed from under the frame with the tools supplied by car’s manufacturer. I have had the car since new and never had to have the spare removed.
He made the change very short order after the spare was lowered. It took longer to remove the spare than the change. Amazing! He made sure, because the spare had never been used that it was at the proper PSI.
Matt put everything he used that was supplied by the manufacturer back in their proper places. No extra parts. LAUGH OUT LOUD!
Don't believe the negative reviews here. I have used American Bulldog twice now and both times the service was prompt, professional, and priced accordingly. This past weekend we were in a bad spot needing help

This past weekend we were in a bad spot needing help, I called and reached Ryan the owner and he was more than happy to jump to help us. I would absolutely recommend American Bulldog to a friend or anyone in need.
$600 tow bill.....Terrible experience. They did not tow vehicle to property address they were given but instead back to their business and added charge to the bill. They did not tow vechicle for three days with directions that they were given, we had someone waiting at the property with cash to pay charges but they never showed. Finally we had to pick up and tow the vehicle ourselves because their charges were so high. I would never recommend.
What started out as a simple flat tire change turned into a mess. Seized lugnuts and a rim that refused to come off of the truck was no match for Ryan. He got the job done quickly and easily because he has the right equipment on his truck. The price was very reasonable and he showed up was faster than what I was told. I would use Ryan and his company again without hesitation!!!
