Added 1,000 lbs to my empty weight vs what scale read out said. Didnt notice until I got home. Called in and they said come get reweighed. Had to drive from kendallville to auburn with my 7k lb trailer and they paid me my money after seeing my weight. When I called they said no way for human error (mistyped a number or something ) it is all computer. When they paid me the second time I asked how this could happen and woman said it must have been a computer glitch, no idea!!
I call BS. Watch your weights, they will try and rip you off.
Whatever you do do not make a complaint about this location to corporate because they will drastically cut your price. Make sure you call ahead before you go to verify that they're open they don't like to keep their posted hours. I can only speak on this location they are not very professional. They lost my business.
Lady at the office was extremely irritated about doing her job. Very nasty attitude. The guys in the yard and at the aluminum / copper scrap bay were nice.
Lady at scales acted like I was bothering her phone screen time and was rude when I went in to collect money. Guys outside in the yard were Polite and kept the line moving.
Haven't been here in many years but I went there to to turn in scrap metal and they refused to take it and asked me to bring documentation to prove that it was mine. I would say they need to rethink their policy and if they are so worried about receiving stolen junk which I get it happens but I think they should take pictures of what is brought in with the person bringing it in and copy of license and vehicle tag or registration. In my case I can't give them documentation of something that has been in my families barn before I was even born and now that I have taken ownership of the barn and the contents that were left omni source tells me I have to keep it. Don't think so! You have lost me as a customer and I will never use Omni source again. Another thing the presentation of your business in Auburn is degraded and from now on I will Stay with Metal X. Thanks for showing me how much you value your customers.
Arrived at opening asked to match prices of other yards was extremely rude and told me to use somebody else's yard so I left I will never come back to the shard again
Dad and i used to go to junk yards while i was growing up so i love going. They treat you well, i saw a lady there having trouble unloading and they sent someone out to help her, i thought that was great.
