A dead car on top of all our other troubles. Jim's towing showed up within a few hours, Jim's called and within 15 minutes, he was here and just took that trouble off our plate with kindness, confidence and professionalism poking a shaft of light through a very hard day. Will use them exclusively from this point on. Than you for your kindness and efficiency that set our anxiety at rest. I'm glad there are people in the trenches doing superior work with joy. Outstanding customer service and support by Matt and team. Driver had to wait on us to define location with insurance and was patient even though it was taking a long time. Matt ensured we knew what was required of us on our end to get it sorted with Insurance. Great experience all around.
Called to get a tow the guy said you can call another tow company have a good day, he said based on the guy who called priors attitude but I don't understand. How that has anything to do with me personally.

My battery was dead today, 4th of July, and Bob came out and tried to jump it. When it would not charge, he loaded it up and took me to Advance Auto Parts where they got me all fixed up. He's a really nice, polite, professional and knowledgeable man.Thank you, Bob, I hope your BBQ ribs you left cooking at home to come rescue me turned out great!
Worst tow company in tow . I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use they services I’ll use a rope to tow my own vehicle because I let them touch my vehicle.. please do yourself a favor and use the other 5 companies here in town
Junior was the guy that came and unlocked my car he was fast and extremely kind. My dog was locked in the car and he unlocked it super quick. He is a great worker please give him a raise!
If you are in or around the Purdue campus and get in an accident or your vehicle won't start, find a reputable Towing Service quick. Otherwise the Campus police will immediately have this place tow your vehicle to their garage where you'll be gouged for outrageous fees to get your vehicle back and have to deal with an extremely rude receptionist who thinks she's doing you a favor to answer your questions.
A friend of mine recently got into an accident, and had her vehicle towed to Jim's Garage. Notified of the holding time, she went to clean her car out the Monday after the weekend (accident happened on Friday), but received an unexpected fee for holding. No record of this fee appeared anywhere except from the receptionist at the front desk.
While trying to receive additional information, and why no record of the initial or additional fees was listed, the receptionist was rude and dismissive. It is unfortunate that their customer service was poor, since my friend was still shaken up by her accident.
On the bright side, there was a different person who assisted and was friendly and recommended the other reps in the business. But they did acknowledge that some are very rude and unaccomodating.
Had a great experience with Phil! He's the guy to ask for if you need a tow. Treated me with a ton of respect and tried to make good of a crappy situation all around. I've had bad experiences in the past with this company but Phil definitely made up for that by being super nice
I recently had a very disappointing and distressing experience with Jim's Tow and Garage. After an accident, the police called this company to tow my car, and it seems they are the only towing service the police use in such situations. Already dealing with the trauma of the accident, I was met with extremely unprofessional and rude behavior from the lady in charge. Her comments came across as racist, which was shocking and unacceptable.
To make matters worse, they were overcharging for the service. When I asked for clarification or compensation, her response was dismissive and aggressive, adding to my stress and making an already difficult situation worse.
However, one positive note was the second lady, who appeared to be an employee. She was polite and professional, which was a small relief amidst all the negativity.
Overall, this experience left me frustrated and deeply dissatisfied. I urge them to improve their customer service, adopt fair pricing practices, and treat customers with the respect they deserve—especially during such vulnerable moments.
Had to wait a while but that's understandable being this company is what the police go through and they get first priority. Driver was straight to the point and nice. Will use again in the future.
Oh where to begin. Called for a tow at 1:30pm. Was told would be about an hour which seemed normal and acceptable. At 3:00pm I called and was told there were several police calls they had to take care of and they would be here asap which also seemed acceptable. At 4:00pm I was told driver was dropping at a local dealership and heading my way should be about 15 minutes. At 4:30pm I was told he was 2-3 minutes away. At 5:15pm I called once again. Dispatch didn’t understand why he wasn’t here yet. Radios the driver and he said he was 10 minutes away. At 5:30pm I called and cancelled the tow. 4 hours later nothing. If they cannot provide service to the public then they shouldn’t offer.
