The responses to the reviews really showcase the condescending and rude tone of the staff. Businesses get bad reviews especially those who deal with lower income and people with shaky or bad credit. I would have overlooked those reviews but who would want to deal with someone who feels comfortable openly replying to reviews in such an aggressive tone. Imagine what is said privately. Wow!
Sold us a vehicle that was 10+ years old, had missing parts, failing parts, and a vaccum leak, 3 shot wheel bearings, an EGR Valve that was missing, had a garden hose put in the EGR Valves place. It was a 350 dollar retrofitted part and they didn't even both to replace it. Couple all that with the fact they wanted 22k for a run down piece of crap is the biggest joke of all...
Buy here if you have bad credit, but just know they'll rip you off to make a quick buck.
Cars to go have been so awesome!! We got our first car from them February 2024. We didn’t have very good credit at the time but were needing another vehicle. I was honest about everything that was on our reports and Tina had no problem approving us. We have always made our payments on time and always kept communication open. Fast forward to December 2024, my husband blew a tire from a pot hole and had ran off the road. Insurance deemed it a total loss because of the cost of repairs vs what the car was worth. The settlement was less than what was still owed on the car. She paid off the loan and got us a new vehicle no problem! We also got a second vehicle through them as well. They have been all around awesome!! Sure there has been some repairs we’ve have to do but that’s with any used vehicle that you buy. 1000% recommend them!
I purchased a car there and now my girlfriend is going to . They have nice reasonable cars . For no credit or bad credit this is the way to go . Cars to go I give you five stars okay .
Would absolutely recommend going to cars to go for a reliable vehicle! Staff are so friendly very easy to work with! Have had a few vehicles from them and never any issues! You can also purchase a warranty on the vehicle which is great although never had to use it on any vehicle we’ve purchased!! Will continue to always do business with Tina, Tiffany and Steve!!!

Steve took my car for a drive to talk about trading in my car. He came back and talked straight to me about what he thought. My car has been making a vibrating noise and it gets loud. And the outcome was to put the money into my car because my car is a really good car. He said something like the wheel bearings are going out or it could be the axle. So come Monday I’m going to take it to my mechanic and get it looked at. Him and Tina did their absolute best to help me out and I so appreciated it.
They are honest people and a wonderful family. I wish more people were like them.
Never go to CARS TO GO, they will screw you at the very first opportunity… they sold my son a car, he totaled it after 2 months well they are taking him to court for the interest they were charging that the insurance didn’t cover, insurance accrues over time but they do what they want because they know most people are hurting for money and can’t afford to fight. Extremely deceptive and prey on people who really need a vehicle who don’t have good credit, BE CAREFUL!!!
This is the best place in Lafayette to get a car. I got my dream truck today. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I am so happy . Thank you Tina and Steve and everyone there. They are extremely nice. Plus great quality and awesome prices.
This truck I got from cars to go in Lafayette Indiana had no brakes the hole front end was shot CV axles where both shot shocks where shot inner and outter tie rods where shot and four bent rims on it it cost me about almost 4000 dollars to get it where it needs to be and now that I am a couple of days late they are threatening to take me to court
I got one truck from them... and ever since then it's been problem after problem... they have a 15 year policy... so if u buy a car 16 years old, no warranty... and the first month I had it, I had to put a 3k transmission in it, cause it had metal inside the fluid. Now it's part after part to fix... my brother has gotten a few cars, all have had problems too... I'm not saying don't go here, the staff is nice... but you have problems constantly...
They completely screwed us on a chevy aveo we paid 500 down and were told that the car was almost new it just smelled bad so we said whatever and got it. Same day we had to take it into the mechanic because the tire rod was squealing and the mechanic told us a list of things that were wrong with it. We could have died because the brake pads were worn down and the tire rod had so much rust. We paid 500 for them to fix a couple things and then the car started overheating and smelling of burning plastic, so we looked in the radiator and it was completely smashed up so we took it back in and asked them to fix it since the power train warranty we were paying for didn't cover radiators. Anyways they "graciously" replaced the "radiator" but not the part that was smashed behind the grill which was our concern in the first place. Anyways we got it back and it started acting up that same day. They told us we'd have to pay a 500 dollar lease break fee even though we'd gotten to drive it 3 times and were paying for a warranty that didn't do anything for us. So long story short we had our contract looked at by a lawyer and just so you know they have a subsection that says promises by word of mouth are not a guarantee so they have in their contract that they can bold face lie to you and you can't do anything about it. Upon further inspection of the contract it said that we did not get the warranty even though we were paying extra for it. So just so everyone knows they have very bad business the people that get decent cars from here and have no problems get lucky.

We've bought two vehicles through Cars2Go, both were good experiences. The few times we did have mechanical issues, Cars2Go worked with us to get our car repaired and made sure we didn't go without a vehicle in the meantime. Cars2Go enabled us to drive good vehicles, build our credit, and get things fixed when problems arose. We really are grateful for, and pleased with, the way they do business.
I was a great customer who never missed a payment until covid caused me to lose my job. I surrendered a vehicle that I was current on payments and made the lease breaking payment as I was suppose to according to the contract. The car had new tires and a fresh oil change, nothing wrong with it at all. When I tried to get my son a car a year later I was denied because I broke the lease, they said I had 2 insurance collections on my report that are not there (I am my own insurance agent, come on now), and they stated that I didn’t follow through with an agreement that I never actually agreed to when they found me a car I was looking for and it was in TERRIBLE shape. I do NOT recommend them at all. I had nothing but problems since day one with them and still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’m glad my credit is much better and I don’t need a buy here pay here anymore.
I would never take my business here, nor recommend it to anyone based off of what I’ve heard from several people over the years. To anyone looking to make a purchase, do your research first and have some good old fashioned in-person conversations with people so you don’t find yourself paying for something that doesn’t even run. And what I’ve heard of their customer service!? Absolutely disgraceful. Be thorough when researching who to buy a vehicle through, it’s your hard earned money, spend it on something that’s worth it!
Definitely worth checking out. Every time we have an issue it is resolved quickly and correctly and how can that get better? By making us feel like long time friends.. Tina has been amazing to us and all the service guys have been great to us!! Friends worth making for sure!!

Best place I’ve experienced buying a car so far. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will find it for you. Need to improve your credit? They help with that too. I’m on my second car through them and have never had any issues with them. Best decision I have made buying a car yet! So fast and painless, HIGHLY recommend! Best of all, I’m rarely in there because I have no issues and I’m on auto pay, but on the rare occasion I do stop in...they remember me by name.

I give them 5 stars. My husband and I were trying so hard to get a car and was getting the run around from everywhere else. We came here and got our 94 Z28 Camaro and had it for almost a year we needed a 4 door vehicle that is good on gas. We are full time at Subaru and was still getting the run around about leasing a car so we contacted Tina and in less then 10 minutes we were in another car. I highly recommend cars to go to anyone.

I cannot recommend Cars to Go enough. I struggled for months to find a car within my price range that was in good condition, with enough space for my family, and that I felt safe in. I really wish I had visited Cars to Go right off the bat, because they have been a godsend. I was able to complete the application online, making the purchasing process quick, painless, and even pleasant, thanks to Tina! I got the car my family desperately needed, with payments we can afford!
They made me do my auto app twice, all the way over from scratch when I was applying for a car because I listed 10 references with names, phone numbers, city and states without the home address. I revised the whole auto app online for the second time and provided all the info, along with exact addresses for 10 references. They didn't call me back. I called back and the lady, Tina, I believe it was had an unprofessional attitude. I told her I had to work later and wanted to buy a car to get me back and forth to work on the same day. She told me that she didn't do my background check yet after providing my info for the second time. She also told me she was with another customer and she would call me back. She never returned my call after I called her again the next day. The way they do business at Cars to Go is inconvenient. I would not recommend anyone to go there to buy a car.
