Great service! Appreciated how everything was explained to me in detail, I was contacted throughout the entire repair process with updates, etc. Repairs were completed fast and efficiently so I wasn’t without my vehicle for an extended amount of time. Will definitely return when I need service in the future.
They got me in so fast! I needed help with my engine misfiring and they got me in the same day and got my car to me the next day. They were so nice and helped me out so much! I will definitely be going to them if my car has problems!
This auto center was not helpful for me at all. I had a major mechanical failure with my car, and during their inspection, they failed to provide the essential information I needed about the cause of the problem. Their main concern seemed to be avoiding any involvement with warranty companies rather than helping diagnose the issue.
Since they were the first shop to open the engine, their mechanic’s observations were crucial to the warranty process—but they refused to explain what they found. Instead, they told me that the second mechanic that I took the car to for a second opinion (who never opened the engine) should explain it to me, which is highly unusual and unprofessional.
They didn’t take clear or detailed photos, didn’t offer proper documentation, and simply kept repeating that they “cannot speculate or inspect.” As a result, I was left without the information I needed.
I absolutely do not recommend this place.
Excellent customer service. They helped me with a tricky intermittent problem, taking the time to make sure they understood the issue before running diagnostics. They clearly communicated every step of the way. I will be using them for my repairs and routine maintenance from now on!
Beck’s is great. Their patience and professionalism are fantastic. I purchased an older vehicle with high mileage, not realizing it came with several wear and tear issues that needed attention. Throughout the process, the team at Beck’s treated me with kindness and transparency. They kept me fully informed through detailed reports and offered clear, honest advice about what needed to be done and what wasn’t worth fixing.
At no point did I feel pressured or taken advantage of. I always felt they had my best interests in mind. I’m very thankful for their entire team, and especially Chad, for their outstanding service and inexhaustible patience with the countless questions I asked.
Becks did an outstanding job not only with servicing our vehicle, but also communicating with us every step of the way. We were informed of the issue, options for repair, as well as the cost! They gave their recommendation but we were able to take time to make the decision. We highly recommend them for any of you automotive needs!

Dropped car off the night before and started getting info back that next morning. Quick service and turnaround on vehicle. This vehicle is a high use vehicle in our household and the fast turnaround is greatly appreciated. At the same time, all service was done as promised and no shortcuts appeared to happen.

I have had great experiences with them and the mechanics, there and all staff, are really on top of their game. My Mom also has had her car there and recently, they found the problem quickly after another place messed things up. I totally trust them and they do great work.
Great auto shop with excellent service. We brought a car up for our daughter after having work done on the car in Texas. Sure enough there we had issues when we delivered the car. Beck’s went out of their way to help us get warranty parts from Texas and install the part. Best auto shop for any Purdue students!
Great mechanics. ALEX did a thorough evaluation of the vehicle even including images and video. I really appreciate seeing the issues for myself. Even coming out after service was preformed to show me the new parts and answering all my questions.
Becks not only fit us in for a quick run of maintenance on the “college car” for our student who hadn’t driven home in a while, they also fit us in soon after for an emergency brake job when needed. We were traveling through town for an important trip when our air conditioning failed in 90 degree heat. Caleb got us in right away and they got us back on the road quickly for an affordable price. The staff was so super friendly, the bathroom is very clean and they made a great lunch recommendation for us while we waited. Highly recommend!!
Five-star service. Beck’s Auto Center is what you want your car maintenance place to be: Prompt appointments. Friendly folks from front to back. Continuous, professional communication. Clean facilities both in the reception area and the shop. Trustworthy diagnostics and repair. Transparent estimates that you approve in writing before they begin the work. I had a list of needed services that they had prioritized so I didn’t have to eat the whole elephant at once if I didn’t want to. Ben was in touch with me throughout the extensive, multi-system — but still timely — process (Got my car back a day earlier than promised.). I was especially impressed when Ben asked me to accompany him to the shop area where I met “my” technician and he showed me that a fine mist of coolant was coming out of my engine, confirming my suspicion that I had a leak. Ugly awakening but all fixed now. Well done.
Its never fun when your car needs work, but Beck’s made the process straightforward and understandable. My check engine light came on and I did not have any idea what to do. The technicians photographed and documented everything they did, so I was always in the loop. Chad, and others in the front office, took time to kindly answer all my questions so I felt able to make a decision for my vehicle. Overall, I had a remarkably good experience at Beck’s.
My 96 Ford Ranger wouldn't start when I was at Home Depot. I had it towed to Beck's. It was the end of day and really hot out. I left the keys in the drop box. First thing the next morning, I received a call from Ben, verifying I had another vehicle to use and saying it would be a day before they'd get to it. The problem was the after market security system had failed and was preventing it starting. I had other work done while it was in the shop. Each day I got a call from Ben along with a messaged worksheet on progress with the ability to approve or decline their suggestions. I felt very involved in the decision making, fully informed of priorities, cost and time involved. The service was great.
I’ve been bringing my Chevy Malibu to Beck’s for several years. As someone with limited knowledge about cars, I appreciate their thoroughness and honesty. Whenever I had an issue, they were able to diagnose it quickly and explain everything clearly to me. For routine maintenance, they perform detailed checks and make service recommendations but never try to upsell. They also provide a report outlining the work done and the costs, which I find very helpful.
One final tip: they sometimes offer coupons on their website, so it’s worth checking before your visit!
We had our car towed to Beck's lot on a Sunday night after breaking down on 65 (3 hours from our home). So glad we picked this place! We didn't know this business and had no appointment since it was an emergency, but they looked at the car the next morning and had it fixed the next day. Very affordable, and car runs smooth. My experience with Beck's was vastly different than other auto repair experiences I've had. They were very transparent about everything. No hidden costs or fees, everything was entirely up to me as the customer; and I feel that is not something you get everywhere. Beck's was quick to diagnose my issue, quick to provide solution, and quick to make repairs. I had some AC issues and instead of sticking me with a very costly single solution, they offered me multiple choices on how I wanted to move forward with repairs; saving me a few thousand dollars. This was my first time as a customer of Beck's, but will not be the last.

My Vehicle’s AC went out last week in July off course. After talking to a couple friends and doing some research my self, I decided to call Becks Auto center in Lafayette Indiana I spoke to Chad a service advisor. He was able to take me in the same day . After having the vehicle inspected , there were a couple issues that needed attention. They were able to fix the problem, and after driving the vehicle for a few days I couldn’t be happier with the results. Great customer service, and overall a great experience. I Highly recommend Becks Auto Center .
Great communication, website, and phone service. Fair pricing on repairs for my 2008 ford escape, addressing the immediate repairs to get it running and other issues in relevant order. Worked with me to arrange an after hours pickup as well.
They also contacted me after I got my car back to check on its performance. Very satisfied with my experience.
I brought my Honda Civic in to have the AC checked because it stopped blowing cold air recently. The team at Beck's was quick to diagnose the problem as a freon leak from the AC condenser. They also informed me that this is a known issue with this generation of Civics and told me Honda had issued several extended warranties for AC parts over the past few years so it might be covered under those warranties. Beck's recommended that I take it in to the local Honda dealer first and see if I could get the parts replaced for free before paying them to replace the condenser. I got the call from Honda today that the repair IS covered under warranty.
All said, I only paid Beck's for the diagnostic fee, which I was happy to do because they gave me good info and saved me close to $1,000 in repairs. They could have easily chosen not to tell me about the Honda warranties and charged me for the repairs. I would probably never have known about the Honda coverage. I'm glad there are honest mechanic shops out there looking out for customers rather than just trying to make a quick buck. I will definitely be back.
Provided the services I had scheduled an appointment for, as well as another recommend service that was well overdue according to vehicle mileage and age. Beck's provides detailed information and levels of recommendation. Had both of my vehicles serviced last week. Excellent work.

My best auto repair shop experience in Lafayette. I took my Subaru WRX here after I'd had some struggles with previous service/maintenance failing to address ongoing issues. Beck's not only diagnosed the issues, but was able to quickly and efficiently resolve them with clear communication and affordable pricing. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and Beck's was truly a saving grace as I needed my car in the best of shape to make a cross-country drive several weeks later, which it was able to do wonderfully with the service I got.
Additionally, the free Uber provided after dropping my car off was a massive help!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy auto repair shop in Lafayette.
This was my first time at Becks Auto . I went there to get the car inspected thoroughly before buying. I loved all of the staff! In the last 53+ yrs in West Lafayette, I have NEVER been more impressed, everyone seems so warm, caring, patient and friendly.

I took my Dodge Caravan for check engine light inspection and since it’s was a concern, diagnostic level 1 was performed and this usually is a chargeable service of $79.95, which I paid. Upon reaching out the same day since I wasn’t in for second opinions, Ben from Beck’s was kind enough to reach out and send an email offering a refund. The team are honest and professional in the services they provide.

I had a check engine light come on at the beginning of the year. I had previously took it somewhere else, where they said they ran a smoke machine but never found the problem for the code it was reading (Evap). I just let it be till recently I got the urge to try and get it fixed. (Not having much money to spend after spending money with the other shop for smoke test.) I always heard great remarks about Beck’s. Decided to bring my truck to them. They quickly were able to locate the problem and suggested a couple options to go about it. I had the pleasure working with Robert Hancock. He did a great job keeping me in the loop and keeping things in simple terms for me to understand. Definitely will be back for any mechanical issues. Here on out i will now only recommend Beck’s Auto. If you are looking for an honest shop, they are the one.
