I am impressed with this salvage yard. Angel who really seems as though she's an angel helped me with wonderful customer service. And getting a part that most other places would not. I will most definitely be using these guys again!
Drove for 2.5 hours for $1200 in parts and was told that they don't have 2 minutes to try to help me out when I wasn't sure if the door would fit in the back of my wagon. Oh, and the "A grade" door with "two small dings" had a big dent and a crease. Ask your pdr guy how much that is gonna cost to fix. Another trashy yard on my black list.
Great people to work with! I needed a truck fender that they had in stock at a good price. After a nice phone conversation and texted pictures to better show the part, they offered to hold it for the week it was going to take me to be able to do the two hour drive down to get it. In person they were just as nice and helpful. I highly recommend them.

These folks really made a difference for me this week. I was searching for a hard to find drive shaft, and was calling yard after yard that were advertising on a popular parts search. I was getting so much run around. A place in Illinois let me wait all day planning to make the trip out before calling to let me know they couldn't find it. Enter Jenn. When she answered the phone at Auto Parts City, the level of customer service I received let me know that I was dealing with a real professional. She wasnt in a rush to get off the phone like so many folks in this industry who act like you're wasting their time calling about a part.
Her communication and punctuality in getting back to me, sending pictures of the part, and even arranging to put it aside so I could pick up after hours (and a long drive from Cleveland) saved a $5000 job for my shop. Today her customer service enabled me to maintain mine! When I am sorting through the search results in the future I will always remember that Kowalski Auto Parts City is an A1 yard to work with! I highly recommend them to people both near and far from South Bend!
They are the nices and very honest people, they sent me pics of the lift gates called several times wasn't ever rude, helped us wrap and load and secure it to our truck. I will be doing business with them again and recommending them to other.
I only gave 4 stars cause the part did not fit my car, but I was treated with the utmost respect and Angel literally was an angel to work with, she was so nice and kind and totally understanding It was a pleasure to work with you guys though the part didn't fit my car It will not deter me from shopping there again thank you for all your help
Jen was amazing to work with. Very helpful, kind and great to talk with! She made sure I got the right part I needed. Showed pictures of the different choices I had, to make sure it was right before I ordered it. The wait was short and everyone was courteous. Every aspect of this place was a great except the 1:45 min drive from the Northwest Side of Chicago. They picked up the phone right away. Helped me confirm that I was asking for and that they had the correct parts I needed. I even received some tips on how to install my new glass in my truck. I can not be happier with the experience. The window is perfect and the staff was fantastic and eager to help. Thanks Angel and staff. I'll be back next time I need something.
this place is amazing. I work at a shop out of town, but the dealer wanted 20x the price APC was charging for the same quality of product. Jen was amazing to deal with and very helpful with any questions I had. I will definitely be using them again in the future simple because of the amazing customer service!
Purchased a 23 year old Jeep door that was in excellent shape. Paid a fair price, the two ladies and gentleman were very helpful. I will definitely use them again. Worth the 3 hour round trip.
Gave a friend a ride to get an alternator and found them very helpful. Very friendly staff and very helpful. They even had the mileage on the alternator. I asked about a part for my vehicle and the gave me the number of another place.

I needed a part and the friendly ladies at the counter sold me one compatible ACCORDING to the computer! Unfortunately the computer was wrong and I called back the same day and they stated and did call me back with a replacement promptly the next morning.
Everything was going well until a young man in a bright sweater came from the back, not involved in the situation at all, YELLING AND CURSING, accusing me of damaging the part (Totally untrue)... There was a difference in the connectors! The nice ladies continued and refunded me 10% for my inconvenience. I traveled an hour to get there and would've done it again... But after being disrespected, I'll go in another direction and spend my money elsewhere because of him !!!!
Great place to find quality used parts at a fair price. Customer service is outstanding & the owner& his family are great people! We have been buying parts from them for years now.
