Veldman's towed my car and immediately worked on my Audi A6. Loren and Mike were very professional. They are good people and got me back on the road in no time.
Ladies, please go here. I have been to multiple service centers in town, and I hate when mechanics act like I don't know anything about my car. The people at Veldman's (specifically Steve, Loren, and Mike) who helped fix my car made me feel like a valued customer and went through everything they had fixed. They were so kind, and even checked in with me a couple days after picking it up to see how my "red chariot" has been driving. And the receptionist, Veronica, is SO nice!
We called to see if there was any way they could lift our car to push the exhaust up bc it was dragging and we had no money.. they literally said bring it here and we will see what we can do! They fixed it at no cost and were excellent about it.. we can't thank them enough for helping us!!
A traditional family owned business that has passed down to the next generations. Loren, and now Aidan has serviced all of my vehicles and have served me well. Trustworthy and kind is the best way to describe them. I have used them over the years from oil changes to tires to major repairs.

Veldman's did an excellent job - provided upfront quote, guidance on tire selection and was able to get me in quickly to complete the work. Pricing was competitive.
They were God-sent for us stranded out-of-towner travelers. Driving near South Bend late night, our minivan started to show electrical problems and we managed to park at a gas station before the battery could not hold any more charge. We called around but ended up sleeping overnight in the minivan and started calling around again next morning. Veldman's business hours started at 7am, but when we called the number at 6:30am ish, the automated message gave another emergency number, and when we call this number, Mr. Veldman himself answered, and he came by to first pick us up (a family of 4) to the shop, and then sent his towing truck right away. They showed us a breakfast restaurant nearby that was open early, where we went and enjoyed. They were sympathetic of our situation and got to work on our minivan right away. All of these were very appreciated especially aftercone place told us that they can't tow until afternoon and another place next day, and some other places did not pick calls late night or early morning. It was going to take a few hours, but they let us use their car to go to a nearby place and even made a couple of suggestions (library, museum etc). This was very kind and heart-warming.
I am writing this while driving down south Indiana to continue our big road trip (my husband driving). The car is driving well! Thank you Veldman's!
I stopped here in a mild panic as my tire was losing air fast on a trip home with my kids in the car. Everyone we interacted with was very kind, helpful, and patient!
My daughter came into today as a walk in and in need of a desperate tire repair. They were able to not only repair the tire but also gave us a quote on a full set of tires, and ultimately replace all the tires and an alignment on the spot. Very convenient, helpful and attentive to her concern's. Veldman’s rocks! Thank you!

They will take your money and not do the work. Beware of using this place. Ask to see the new repairs and ask for old parts back. They also admitted to using used car parts on vehicles.(They have a convenient junk yard down the road for that reason.) BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE and my acura was serviced there in 2023 under a different last name. I’m the one that took you guys to court and won half my money back.
We had an unexpected stop at Veldman's when we were driving thru IN from WI and a light came on in our car. They went above and beyond, stayed late to make sure we could make it to our destination and charged us a fair price. Would 100% recommend them to anyone. Thank you Mike and team!
Once again Veldmans Service Center came through for me. I'd been dealing with a very rough idle problem on my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis for a couple years. I'd finally had enough, called Veldmans they got it in right away, replaced the pvc valve and hose and got her running like new again. They spotted a bunch of other suspension and cooling problems that needed attention, called me with an estimate, I gave them the green light and got my Merc back running and handling like new again. The price was like 35 percent lower than the Ford dealer quoted me. To top it all off they gave me a ride home when I dropped the car off for repair. Veldmans gets all my work from now on and I won't hesitate next time to give them a call.
Great automotive shop.... they have serviced my three vehicles flawlessly over the years (over a decade now). Cost effective and great maintenance, repair, tires and services. Best shop around for my money. Always helpful and dependable. Great staff. Diligent !
I recently went to Veldman’s for an oil change. They have been taking care of my car needs for many years now. As always, they completed the service in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. I was also reminded my tires were due to be rotated which they did free of charge since I purchased my tires there. Veldman’s staff are very knowledgeable and courteous. . . which is why I’m a long time happy customer!
The service is almost 100% up to par, however, the customer service is lacking in ALL departments. My personally experienced issues are that, 1) when they told me I needed a wheel bearing replaced (and "replaced" it) I continued to hear the same noises I brought to their attention afterwards, and 2) the last two (2) times that I've dropped off my car for an oil change (not waited for it, since I'm able to WFH), I've had to call RIGHT before close to see if it's done, only for them to give me runaround excuses as to why they didn't call me. The most recent time, they NEVER called me and buried my car in their lot BEFORE closing time and had to dig it back out once I called. I was told on the phone that "most people just show up" when they drop off their cars for service but how in the world am I supposed to know when it's done??? I've been using this company for about 5 years and their service & care for customers has gone downhill TREMENDOUSLY.
When my car needs something done, Veldman's is always my 1st choice. Been going there for 35+ yrs, when they tell me that my cars needs something, I have absolutely no doubt that is what it needs. They are a 2nd generation family run business, and they have a great group of people working with them.
Only been to Veldman's once before for oil change and was pleased with their work and prices. This time when I scheduled an oil change, I asked them to service the transmission and check the air conditioning, brakes, and battery. I suspected the battery was old and my car probably needed a brake job. I wanted my car in good shape for a trip. They did everything I asked and then some. Battery and brakes were ok. Air needed a little freon. They did a great job, and the bill was about half what I thought it would be. Doesn't get much better than that! They even followed up to make sure I was satisfied. Yes, I highly recommend Veldman's.
I have been using Veldman’s Service for my vehicles for almost 40 years. They have always come through with great work and can usually fit me into their schedule in the case of an emergency.
My last visit was to repair a tire on my SUV after it picked up a bolt. I was able to drop it off after hours, leaving the keys in the lockbox, and a short description of what work needed to be done. I was able to pick my SUV up the next morning before 9am.
This was just the latest example of the excellent customer service I’ve come to expect from Veldman’s!
Our favorite auto shop in town! I am always treated with respect, any assessments are thorough, and I always feel I can make an informed decision about my car after talking with the folks at Veldman’s. Their prices are also fair.
Our family has been doing business with the Veldman’s for over 50 years! Since Willie was a young man!! They show their employees how to consistently provide Excellence. I have story after story of how they go above and beyond good service. I know they are honest and genuinely care about their customers. We would highly recommend Veldmans for anything vehicle related!
Highly recommend Veldmans service center. My Dad originally told me that they are great, so I got an oil change and needed to swap tires from an older car. They were so friendly and fast I decided they are my car guys. This past week I needed to get my Dad to dialysis, when I picked him up my battery was dead. Luckily we had just enough to get him there. He said go see Mike and Loren. I went straight there, they had a brand new battery for me in 30 minutes. If you're a woman they will not screw you over.
