My daughter bought a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle she will be taking out of state. Scott not only repaired the issues I asked to be repaired but several other issues. The price for the work was more than fair. He didn't rob me on the extra work.I couldn't be happier with the work.
I was going to do my own front brake job but got in a time crunch this weekend and wasn't able to do it myself but I had already bought Napa Gold rotors in Napa Gold pads but the guy on the phone informed me they couldn't use my parts because they couldn't upcharge me for parts LOL go somewhere else unless you want to pay double for parts that are literally just down the road for half price.
This is the kind of operation that will squeeze you for every dime they can get out of you
Scott has worked on my motor In my wife’s Yukon, and it is amazing. He’s also in the process of rebuilding my transmission for my hopped up diesel truck amazing person and an amazing mechanic highly recommend.
Had my transmission rebuilt by Haywood. A few months later had a rough shift. Took it back up and spoke with Scott. Transmission had a one year warranty. They fixed it and honored the warranty. Very easy to work with.
First .... Where is the zero rating button , they do not deserve a star at 1.
I called to have my transmission fluid serviced so I had to leave my car overnight the next day when 2pm rolled around not hearing back from them I called them only to be asked where was my vehicle parked and where was the keys and who did I leave my keys with ''by now being a first time customer'' I'm furious as to they had not even got to my car so he told me within the next hour it would be ready so when 4pm came I made the decision to call again she tells me it is not ready and they were still working on it I let her know then I was picking up my car at 5pm they close, on the way to pick up my car i get a phone call from them telling me I need a new transmission , well now as i get to the office to ask questions he tells me it is over filled and gives me codes the same codes I had already discovered about my vehicle prior to my visit keep in mind i just had an oil change 2 days before this and was told my transmission fluid was low. So I basically was given the brush off attitude they were not interested in my car and to be charged $70.00 for a code reader and to be lied to. gfy
Took my car in for a tune up. They stripped the threads where the sparkplug goes and tried to fix by putting a sleeve in there which is a temporary fix which nay not work. It didn't work.THEY NEVER TOLD ME. Motor blew out the plug and the cylinder head has to be replaced which is what they should have done to fix their mistake. Find a honest garage that owns up to their mistakes. $4000 lesson learned.
The owner, Scott Haywood, is an incredible person. He made sure our vehicle was safe despite us not being able to cover the expenses at the time. He has been very flexible with us. It's obvious that he walks his faith out. I highly recommend his place of business.
I had to take the time to give Scott and his crew some love. I was broke down outside of Cloverdale, IN coming back home to Texas. I was towed to their shop at midnight. The next day I walked to their shop and told them what my issue was. They adjusted their schedule to fit in the out of towner and did a great job. They communicated very well and at every turn. They spent most of the day getting my truck travel ready and their price was PERFECT. I really can't say enough about the quality of work and the quality of people at this shop. I really wish they were closer to me as they would be my go to for all things auto related. Upstanding people with fair prices. If you're ever in Cloverdale and need auto work done this is the ONLY place to go. Thanks again Scott and crew. You made it possible for me to get home safely. Be blessed sir
I took my vehicle in for repairs. There was a problem with the service. I tried for weeks to contact them an they never returned my call. I was charged for service they did not complete. Very unprofessional.
The last time I took my pickup truck to Haywood's Auto and Wrecker Service was a very good experience. Scott Haywood himself was very understanding about what was wrong with my pickup truck as well as what was bothering my and did a very good job of explaining what was wrong and took the time to listen to what was bothering me which gave me reason to feel all the more comfortable and assured. What I really appreciated was how quickly his shop got to my pickup truck and fixed what was wrong.
DO NOT Send your cars or trucks here. Pay another $200-$300 additional for towing ang save yourself time and money. This guy is unprofessional and rude. Worst experience I ever dealt with.
First off if I can put a negative I would, I dropped my car off at 11am for them to LOOK AT. to try and diagnose it for me, well I called back at 3pm to see what's going on with it and the guy said he is finishing up a vehicle than pulling mine in well at 6 pm I still didn't hear anything back so I walked up there and my car is sitting out front unlocked and everyone is gone, so my husband called the guy and my husband told him we don't appreciate the car sitting out front unlocked and no one calling us to tell us what's going on with it or that it had to stay there overnight, and the guy started screaming at my husband and telling us to take our service somewhere else. I understand they got other people vehicles as well to work on, but they should of gave us a call or at least been polite when we called instead of screaming at us. When they open up so I can get my key, I will be taking my car somewhere else, they have very poor customer service, and the guy sounds very angry and should seek anger management. .
Never had a bad experience, when I needed them they always took care of what ever I needed in a timely matter and fair in price and quality work. I would recommend them . We need them in a small town Thanks Scott and Jammie .
This place sucks workers are junk yard mechanics do yourself a favor and save money go to Leonard's auto in gosport ....scott haywood is the worst of them all i took a truck in to have the breaks done when i got it back the back lines was cut and pinched off so he could save money once i called him out on it he fixed it but it still wasnt right
Haywood's has serviced and repaired a few vehicles for my family. Always fair and honest seems like some folks want junk yard prices with presidential service....

Damaged my car when it was towed. Filed police report and former cpd officer Charlie Hallam seemed on Haywood autos side; which is probably how Haywood has survived so long and probably why these stupid fat hicks have stayed in business so long by being "the place" police go for VEHICLE tows. hopefully that changes.
When I went to get my car the woman behind the desk wasn't nice or polite, later realized car was damaged. Back left break lamp broke and big dent in bottom left bumper
Now these imbeciles are trying to sell cars and their bright idea? By paying a scam artist company To send out fake "you won" scratch off mails to the locals. When you get to the office you realize you didn't "win" the prize only maybe a gold coin of which they have hundreds or maybe a 5 dollar walmart card. I received such mail scratched it off thought i won and did research on google to discover the scam and how car sales people use this to get ppl in the door, it possibly the skirts the law. That in itself should show you how these employees and the owner lack any insight, intellect or even intuition on how to run a business. In fact it appears Haywood got scammed by thinking it wise; to pay this outside scam artist marketing company, to mass mail fake scratch offs telling everyone "they won" get them to through the door in hopes they buy a car only to tell them no. For Haywood auto sales to think that would somehow turn out postive for their business and reputation is comical and sad
Any service Haywoods provides in my opinion is EXTREMELY SUB PAR, they don't care about ppl or customers they haven't needed to, cause they have survived on local and state police's need, and local folk like me foolish enough to NOT CHECK out google reviews and just trust businesses cause their "businesses"
Look at the owners response to negative reviews, he's very aggressive and sarcastic and immature using terms like "butt hurt" (and he's probably their brightest) I'm sure these morons have done wrong and if someone files a complaint with cpd or the state attorney general I'm sure Haywoods junk would be gone.
First off don't ever have your vehicle taken their. I got in a bad accident and they picked up and took it to there yard. 2 days later I got up their to get my belongings out and they stole my battery, welding helmet, my amplifier, even my grandfathers oil pan. They even broke my radio trying to steal. But if you ask them about. They get the dumbest look on their faces.
My truck has been sitting at this establishment for about 2 weeks now. My husband broke down on the way home on the interstate and a police officer called a tow to come get the truck out of the interstate. Their customer service sucks! They put you on hold for long periods of time on the phone, they never call you with updates on your vehicle as to what they are doing. I was lied twice that my vehicle was getting ready to be pulled up into their shop. I'm getting extremely tired of waiting and not getting my truck fixed. Instead of giving me and my husband the run around, just flat out tell me you can't work on it since you don't have the experience to work on it and not sure what is wrong. This is my husband's work truck and he needs it for work! We've been using a rental for 2 weeks straight! After reading the reviews on here has me very upset this establishment takes care of their customers! I mean how do you stay in business doing what you do!?!? Is this how you take care of out of state customers?!?
I had a great experience! The staff was courteous and Scott was more than happy to answer any of my questions. Excellent service, professional, fast, honest and reasonable prices. Highly recommend, will be back!
Had a wreck and needed a tow. Police officers sect me here. Tow truck guy was very nice, he took me back to the shop for me to await my ride. While waiting, the lady running the desk made it abundantly clear I was inconveniencing her by being there. Then proceeds to go outside and complain to her shop guys that it was after hours, then came in and says "I suppose you want to get your stuff out of the car"? Very angrily. ..it was 5:30 , I guess her shop closes at 6 (I had no idea, just went where the cop sent my car) . I would have given it a negative rating , but the tow truck guy was very nice. These people obviously don't need /want business. So I'll never take anything there again . From the other ratings I would say the owner should look into his staff more.
Naturally, everyone has his or her own experience with a business. I myself have had nothing but positive experiences (multiple) with Haywood's. Scotty has always been true to his word with me, and since about 2014, I've had a number of things done--from minor to more involved: oil changes to tires to engine tuneups, and a few more things--including very helpful advice. I've not yet been disappointed.
One thing you can depend on is they aren't dependable. If I could rate a negative I would. I have 4 company trucks that need scheduled mantience I made a appointment on a Friday for a oil change on Saturday. When I got to the garage I waited for at least 10 minutes to be told they couldn't do it because it was a dually. So I went to Jordan's. I would have gave them my a lot of business but they couldn't pull off a oil change.I called to see If they had a truck tire. The girl that answered said she didn't know because the guys were at lunch. So I went to Jordan's. So one morning I needed a them to send a tow truck. They're are supposedly a 24hr service. I only called them because they were closer than Curtis's. After at least 5 calls someone answers. The guy answers and asks if I can wait until daylight. If I could wait i wouldn't have called at 5:30. Long story short. I've gave them 2 chances. There won't be a 3rd. Go to Jordan's for service. If you need a tow call Curtis.
