i just found a voice recording from 2020 where a driver was driving illegally and i honked to stop them from going through a light after the second time and he goes on to say i pulled a gun on him and blocked me into a parking lot when i was leaving my Unarmed security job. to the point where they called the cops and still proceeded to cuss me out when i showed up there when they had the police to explain myself. thank god for this recording cause its still within statues so i can proceed with it. even 5 years later the issue upsets me and says alot about the customer service and level of commitment to doing a fair and legal job. this should be fun. thank god for car cams and being smart enough to record conversations. if anyone cares to see my proof if it helps them i am easily reachable at this email.
Had a tie rod snap while turning onto a rather busy road, and ended up in a ditch. Despite the abnormally difficult positioning and it being on a busy road, the flatbed truck driver was still able to pull it off in a timely fashion. The driver went above and beyond with the service and was very thorough with dropping off the vehicle to my home. He even went out of his way to push the car in neutral so it wasn’t blocking our mailbox, and apologized for taking so long when we expected it to take longer! Didn’t catch his name but he was very pleasant during the entire service. Huge thank you to this company for all that you do. Would highly recommend these guys.
Got in a spot and called cooks towing. The lady who took my call was very polite and caring about my situation which I thought was just an extra special touch and I really appreciated it. Everything went great with the tow. Price was very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and call a honest and far tow truck company!!!
Very very bad service Never get a damaged vehicle tow from them. They broke my vehicle from the back and they won't even admit that we broke the vehicle. Their vehicle broke down and now they are still waiting. Never get a vehicle towed from them. Their service is very bad. And to much fee charge 10 miles to 700 $ change
The name of this “business” should be corrected to CROOKS Towing. Illegally towed a vehicle and broke Indiana State Law in the process. I am currently working with the state. This is not the first time Cooks has been involved in illegal towing of vehicles according to the state. AVOID these losers!
We are so grateful for this company & especially our Driver Donny. We live out of state and returned to the airport to a tire that needed replaced we called Triple A and waited three hours for a no show and back and forth for them to say another hour . By the time we got that cancelled and found Cooks I was spent and desperate to just get back home to our son . The person who answered the phone was so nice and helpful and even recommended a 24 hour tire repair place when I panicked the one I had found was closing. Donny got to us quickly and worked with us when we weren’t in the easiest place to get to. He got us where we needed and went above and beyond to make sure we were good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
My husband was having issues with his truck and had to get it towed to the dealership. Because his truck is lowered, only a certain tow truck can do it.
Ray Skillman contacted Cooks. I'm not sure who these gentlemen are pictured (I stayed in the car while my husband talked to them) but they were phenomenal!! They took their time and actually cared about the work they were doing. They placed 2x4's under the wheels so the part of my husband's truck that was lowered wouldn't scrape the ground.
I hope I'm leaving the review on the correct location, however, I feel that if these two gentlemen were being this careful, then all Cook drivers do the same.

F them. Charged me 327 for my car to get back . They had it mabye 4 hrs at most . My tag is paid for and yall according to my apt said my car was blue its siver. Will be sueing yall btw if yalll dont give me my refund to the apts. Brownsburg Indiana
Towed my car from valley brook when they said it was illegally parked 1st lie, said we were on the sidewalk 2nd lie then they said an AWD vehicles wheels roll free 3rd lie ! Curb and driveway has damage the transfer case spit fluid the whole way home damaged my vehicle and when asked about it threatened me cause they got caught in a lie
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY a lawsuit is coming and inquiry will be filed on thier towing license for predatory towing
What can I say? J.R. and his crew are hands down the most customer savvy,helpful,goin' out of their way late at night to meet us at another location. That's what close friends and family does.Literally, they're family there, and they treated us like we were part of it. Then a week or so later we had to come back and when we did ,we were greeted by a great ol' fella who was just as nice and more helpful than we could've even asked for. I truly and honestly hope, that I get to do more business with this shop. Exceptional top to bottom. Period.
Oh and p.s.... we love them!!!!! They just don't make many people like them any more . They're there to serve.
So far Cooks has been available when I've needed them. Even if it would be a while, they still put me on a list to be taken care of. Unlike other towing companies I tried to use, Cooks was able to accommodate my situation and work with me not being able to be with the vehicle. They have yet to let me down, and they are up front with the cost expectations.
I called on a Sunday and they were available within 2 hrs and one of the least expensive. The office manager even called the next day to ensure everything went alright.
My car was towed from a church parking lot and I had just been in the vehicle minutes before it was towed and when I got to the lot my compartments in the ceiling were completely ripped out and the fabric was tore along the side everything in my truck was gone thru and completely destroyed . The lady in the office said they didn't do it but it was very obvious because I was just in the vehicle before it got towed and I'm pretty sure the church people didn't destroy it.
My work van got impounded because I was parked wrong spot no big deal I paid the fees and got it back. To go open it up to find my tolls went missing. And they said our guys wouldn’t do that blah blah. There thief’s over there. The lady was nice in the office tho.
They are not professional at all. The guy came out and changed prices 3 times just while hooking my car up. These people are flat out creeps. Make you feel uneasy
I’m very impressed! On a day with terrible weather and awful traffic, Cooks was able to get my car towed and to the dealership in less than 90 minutes. The driver, Derek, was so professional. And I feel bad that I didn’t catch the Dispatcher’s name, but she was lovely, too. They take pictures of your car, they called with an ETA, and the driver called when he was en route. Nobody wants to get her car towed, but this company did make the day easier.
Had an appointment with a 2 hr window not bad. The window was closing so I called just to check on the driver and was told ot would be 30-45 mins more because of traffic. Its Indiana i can understand that. About an hour later I called again and was told he is just north an hour later got the same answer. Half an hour later got a call from driver. He was 30 mins east of my location. I was given the run around by the dispatch. Driver was friendly.
Kyle just came to take our truck to Pull Apart, he was amazing! He talked with our little boy and explained everything to him. We were so impressed with his demeanor and the time he spent with our boy, it made this terrible experience much better. Thanks Kyle!
Do not recommend. Unprofessional. We pulled up there to get our vehicle and one of the guys had our belongings out using them and said he didn't think anyone was going to pick the car up. Crooks Towing is a very good way to describe this place.
I had my step van towed no with no issues on 6/18/16. I did have to clarify that while my vehicle was a step van, it was a small step van with a dodge caravan chassis so a larger tow truck would not be needed. The hook up fee I was charged was $65. I used the same tow service on 7/6/16 and the lady putting in the order was rude and was not listening to me when I was explaining to her what type of vehicle I had. I made sure to tell her that I had their company tow my truck two weeks before and a regular size tow truck was sufficient. Of course when I get my bill, I was charged $125 hookup fee because she sent the larger truck. When I called back to request a refund of the difference, the lady was rude, but said she would talk to her manager about a credit. I never recieved a call back and now it's 7/13/16 and still no refund. I called back to speak with the manager and she was the rudest of them all. At first wasn't willing to refund any money, but finally said she would credit me back $40 because the first hookup fee should have been $85 instead of $65 and I got a break the first time. Not sure how their employee errors translates to my fault. Worst customer service I have experienced in awhile.
I was traveling through Indianapolis when my tire popped off and I was stranded off the highway. I called the first company that was on google and I could not be happier that it was them! The dispatcher and the driver were both extremely nice. They got to me in a very timely manner and they were extremely reasonably priced! I HIGHLY recommend them!
very rude costumer service. called to get a tow quote. was told it'd be 2.50 hrs. said politely, that's OK, I'll try and find someone else. Thank you.' her reply was, ' Why the hell did you call us then?' and slammed the phone down. WILL NEVER CALL, RECOMMEND OR THINK OF THEM AGAIN!
Polite dispatcher and tower. Help arrived within the time frame the dispatcher estimated. The tower also suggested that my battery could have a bad cell and that the cold caused it to be "too much" for it to start. He said AutoZone would test it and alternator for free. All this turned out to be true, so I was able to have the problem fixed right away. Would definitely call them again.
They towed my vehicle while a person was inside. My friend was sleeping in the backseat with no seat belt on and they towed my vehicle despite the windows being down enough to where you could easily see inside. Was my car parked illegally, yes apparently. I take blame for that but there's no excuse for towing while someone was inside. The manager offered me this: "no harm no foul." because the person inside was not hurt. What if he would have tried to get out? When telling him if there was nothing he could do to make up for this violation of human safety, I will have no choice but to let people know about this he said: "Well, mister I'm sure there's some info I could drum up on you and put in a report and show about you." Absolutely unremorseful and unprofessional. What if that person inside had a medical condition? It's your typical tow and go company. They probably have kickbacks for business owners or workers at the lots that they regularly tow. a better name would be "CROOK'S Towing Service.
With the tire and wheel itself completely off our right front wheel, Cook's Towing driver, Ron, quickly figured out an ingenious way to put our vehicle on his tow truck without damaging the bare axle and disk brake assembly. Mission accomplished, professionally, quickly and pleasantly! 5 Stars, for sure, for the driver and the company. Thanks!
The dispatcher's customer service skills were top notch. I've tried a few other local towing companies and found them to be lacking in this department. The driver was also very skilled and was able to drop the car directly into my garage (inclined driveway).
Very helpful and the customer service was awesome! Had to have two trucks get us out of parking garage and they had everything under control! Would definitely call again.!
