Not a good place to semi trucks. Poor management. Having 9 am appt. Took whole day to get loaded. Employees just killing and wasting time. Nobody cares. Better cancel the load with get this place .
Customer service was amazing! I got first because I was new to scrapping, the customer service coworker was fantastic and explain in simple instructions what I needed to do. Once I arrived the staff was friendly and patient , I was in and out in about 15 min. I would highly recommend this place ?
For me this is the worst place.i arrived 6:30am my appointmet was 7:00am as the broker he mailed me.they said your appointmet is 8:00am.they gave me dock 8:05am. White truck driver came after me they gave him dock after me his appointment also 8:00am i went to office i asked them they are not respectfull guys.specially the white tall youn guy.

Somewhat confusing when I went to Pendleton location for the first time after my normal place in Noblesville quit accepting scrap from the public. Not a lot of signage to direct you on where to go or what to do. Ended up talking to a friendly employee and explained the process and where to dump my scrap. Dealt with another employee on the payment side of things who was equally as friendly and explained the ATM payment method. Prices are a little lower than other places but the great staff makes up for it.
Tried calling several different times. Number just rings and rings. Tried emailing them. Got no reply from them...Wanted to find out about bringing an old refrigerator to recycle before I made the trip. Not going to drive there if they won't accept it.
My visit went well once I figured out what to do. Unfortunately, the instructions on the website appear to be outdated, and no one seemed readily available to explain the process. I'll be happy to update this review once the online instructions are corrected.
Details for other first-timers:
After driving through the radiation scanner, park in front of the bins and unload the items. Don't bother waiting for an employee, and don't worry about sorting by type. When you're done unloading, head inside. They'll bring your bin(s) in to sort and weigh your items, and then give you an ATM ticket. The ATM is inside a shed just outside the main building. The scanner is a bit finicky, but worked for me after a couple of tries.
My debut visit was somewhat confusing. Website says an employee will direct you where to go and what to do. I had to go find someone to get directions. In the end, all good. Wasn't as efficient as Lusco (before they stopped dealing with the public).
I have been doing business here for several years, they go out of their way to help you get everything inside that you brought to sell. The guys in the sales booth are always down to earth guys willing to laugh at my dumb jokes.
Plus, they are one of the only yards open on saturdays, go check them out!
Chivalry Is not dead at Newco. When I pull up the gentleman that work here always help me. They never let me lift my metal into the bins. I also alway bring my kids. This staff is so family friendly and always answers all of their little questions with a smile. The customer appreciation days are a blast! Newco is the only metal yard for us!
I arrived on Saturday at 10:50....website says open close at noon.....love driving across town for nothing...Call before you go...just a bit irritated ...thanks
Newco Metals close today through Monday for Memorial Day weekend will be back Tuesday through Friday they take strip copper burnt copper aluminum wire copper wire brass sheet metal scrap iron large aluminum like luminum sighting hard lungs aluminum and get paid for it too really good aluminum cans great way to clean up around your place and get money for it too
Can't rave about these guys enough. Most organized facility I've been to, their customer service is absolutely wonderful, and I haven't seen better prices in some time. Wouldn't imagine recycling anywhere else!
I went there for the first time this saturday to recycle cans for the shelter I volunteer at. I was unsure of what to expect. I had a guy come out and explain everything to me and answered my questions. I then went inside and again they were very nice and even showed me how to get the money out of the atm. I highly recommend going there and I will be going there in the future for personal and humane society use. Thanks guys!
It was my first time to this Newco location.
I felt a bit unsure where to drive, but a worker came out to guide me through the process. I drove across the scales; backed up to a bin to unload my car trunk full of miscellaneous metal; went inside while my haul was sorted; presented my picture ID at the inside window; then collected my cash at the outside dispenser. It's interesting to see what all can be recycled.
Just went for the first time, very nice hardworking staff, had us in and out, very efficient. Only advice I would have is would to have better signs to know where to go
Been recycling Al cans here for our church for several years. It's the cleanest scrap yard I've been to. There prices are competitive. It's also not as busy as the places in Indianapolis.
